I love how each video you show yourself hitting a point in the project where you might just have to start over again. It’s so true to the creative process and its nice to know I’m not the only one who consistently does this
Pro tip on how to put the fabric back on the hoop after you have already cut it: cut out another piece of fabric that fits the hoop (a cheaper one or a scrap from another project will do), put the fabric that you've punched on top and sew it to the bigger fabric. From the bigger fabric, cut the middle part that covers the back of your main fabric so you don't put stitches on the bigger fabric. Now you can put your project back on the hoop and work more on it.
I love the colour scheme you chose, sitting here cheering when you said you went risky! Love the project! Living in Aus but still getting the urge to make winter projects now 😂
I have found the best way to make the front side with all the loops even is to unravel your yarn. The looser your yarn, the less tension, and the less it gets pulled back through the fabric when you take the needle out
Jenna you save me so much money. I watch you do these amazing projects and then the reality of me doing them hits and I never attempt them. I do sew tho so not a total nit. Thanks you are amazing.
Lol, Jenna, having never attended punch art, I assumed the fuzzier side was going to be next to your foot for warmth! Lol! Glad you figured it out and finished the project ! Success as always! ❤
The beautiful olive green with the forest green would've been my choice lol it's the perfect example of how my style is similar and different at the same time 💚
i bought a pair of the soles last year, planning to make espadrilles, and didn't follow through. i have never tried needle punch, but i bet i could do some quilt piecing then fuse it to a canvas and make slipper tops from that!! i'm most nervous about sewing the top to the soles.
You are such a character. I cannot stop watching now. Love your projects. Also, I find it crazy that you ride something like a bike or something to stores. Where I am from you would be riding for a long time. Love it. I wouldnt want to do it but I love seeing you do it.
Fun fact that song when she's glueing ( 12:23 ) the fabric is actually played by one of my favorite Hispanic groups ❤❤😂 Loved the whole process of these slippers 👟, would love to try but I overthink everything and then leave it started 😢😅
You can change the subtitle settings by clicking on the little settings button at the bottom of the video, then 'subtitles', auto-translate, and select the language you want it translated to. To punch-needle small areas, pull your material taut over a small tin, and start punching away on the design that you want.
Jenna, you did a great job. I will try to make a pair using wool yarn and felting the slipper tops before stitching them to the base. Thanks for your great videos!😊
'good lesson to learn! the side you see is the "wrong" side. so you have to keep in mind fuzzy side is right side. I also would advise you (and any one who wants to punch) to be careful how close you punch your threads together. if you punch them too close and have them overlap, your piece will curl. might not be an issue for slippers but still can be!
I've been learning Tatting over the last two weeks, and I have been watching Russian videos, Japanese videos, Korean videos, Chinese video, French videos practically most of the videos I've been watching are in other languages but I'm managing lol. Have made a loop, a butterfly, and a flower motif. I also have quite a collection of Japanese craft books which are not translated both beading and crocheting, and I've learned the diagrams, and what not in them well enough to produce what they're teaching. Great job on the slippers. 💚
I… I had no idea I could just buy soles for espadrilles! I used to LOVE wearing my mom’s & grandma’s when I got old enough, they’re SUCH comfortable shoes!!! I’m already putting some of these supplies on my Christmas list!!!! I can’t wait to make my own gladiator style espadrilles! Thank you so much!! ❤
Cool Jenna, very cool. I've got wide width feet too😂....loved the process as usual. Thanks for sharing, never thought about punching before, will have a look at some vids x
So much creativity in one human being! Love how Benson hides under the blankets…my baby does that too! Love your couch, where did you get it, I want one! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us and I hope your holidays are awesome 8)
Ooh, such a creative way to utilize punch needle! Also, just fyi there is a high frequency present in your room shots that might be worth considering trying to EQ out. Great video!!
Loving this sooo much!!! Have you ever thought about weaving ... maybe adding weaves and doing something kind of like crocheting to a weaved fabric. Mb a sweater. Kind of like embroidery, but mb more of your own style and take on it... I'm in love with all this. And the shoe thing is SUPER satisfying. (Not to add more to your load of work and creativity.) But this could be a future epic Jenna Phipps 😎 woot🎉
Just found your channel few days ago and I've been binge watching everything you've done 🤩Now I'm back again watching this video and I really need to make these yarn shoes too 🤩
Those r pretty cool! Have you ever tried Crochet shoes. I've seen some pretty spiffy ones online. Some people get flip flops and take the straps off em and use the sole to Crochet straight onto. I was thinking of making a sole, sewing that to the flip flop sole then crocheting onto that! I dunno tho... 🤔🤔
Those turned out awesome!! I think this is the first video I’ve commented on, but finding another vancouverite who also loves chartreuse is a very specific joy I’m experiencing, bahaha.
They look gorgeous. Would also been nice to add the dark color of the other color- options as a contrast. If you made a skirt out of all 4 of the colors, just lines that would look gorgeous. How much did it finally cost in all? Why didn‘t you show how to sow the 2 pieces together or to the sole? Would have been extra handy. Big hugs to the doggies…. :). Have a nice evening everyone!!!!
They look great! I would love to learn how to punch needle or even cross stitch! You're such an inspiration, and I totally would have been bittersweet about the cheese cake, too! I mean, c'mon Cosco! 😅
I love how each video you show yourself hitting a point in the project where you might just have to start over again. It’s so true to the creative process and its nice to know I’m not the only one who consistently does this
Supppppper relatable 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm currently watching because I hit a wall and needed a break.
It's healing to know we all do it
^ same. Going to attempt to crochet a sweater for the 4th time because mistakes 🫠
@@veracelliwow that’s great, I wish you luck! I could never have that much patience
Jenna, you might invest in a curved upholstery needle if you don’t have one. It makes sewing things like your slippers easier.
Loved this video.
You've reminded me I need to do this!
Thank you, taking the suggestion🙏🏼❤️✨🍀
I had no idea you could make shoes like that. It's awesome!
The perfect winter craft does not exi- 😳
Kathleen, you and Jenna should do a collab of some sort!
@@stephaniemoore-fuller9082 I think we’d be a dream team! 😘
@@stephaniemoore-fuller9082 yessssss
Your video consistency is so impressive to me and it def inspires me to keep creating.
Also the big eyebrows mochi update was so funny.

Brilliant!
I was thinking to myself “Jenna! No! The back is the front in needle punching! You forgot!” And then you luckily noticed your mistake 😂🤣.
Same 😂😂😂
You can actually use both sides 😊 it just gives you a different finish. You can also leave the loops or cut them and have more of a rug finish 💡
I love the colour scheme you chose, sitting here cheering when you said you went risky! Love the project! Living in Aus but still getting the urge to make winter projects now 😂
jack is so adorable on your shoulder when you clarify the video you saw is turkish
I'm suprised you didn't just wrap your foot with cling wrap and duct tape and then slip it off. It feels like the chaotic vibe we know and love. 😊
I was literally just watching one of your old punch needle vids, and you inspired me to get into punch needling 😊
you are my comfort youtuber. i wait for ur vids every week
I’m happy you found a Turkish channel as a guide. Lots of love from Türkiye 🇹🇷 ❤
I have found the best way to make the front side with all the loops even is to unravel your yarn. The looser your yarn, the less tension, and the less it gets pulled back through the fabric when you take the needle out
You're so creative! I look forward to your videos every week :)
I love your creativity, and your sense of humor. Thanks for cheering up my day.
I never would have thought of needle punching for slippers. Cool idea tho.
It's great for wall art.
Jenna you save me so much money. I watch you do these amazing projects and then the reality of me doing them hits and I never attempt them. I do sew tho so not a total nit. Thanks you are amazing.
The colors go better than I thought.
Super cute. I have a punch needle rug that I made in 1980 and did not glue and it is still fine after a million washings.
I found your videos of your home renovation, which I love, but your crafting is hysterical!
Love your vids Jenna you are such an inspiration to me
Lol, Jenna, having never attended punch art, I assumed the fuzzier side was going to be next to your foot for warmth! Lol! Glad you figured it out and finished the project ! Success as always! ❤

You’re so inspiring to watch and such an amazing human!! Look forward to your videos every week!❤
Great work on those slippers, they are stylish! Laurie
I do so admire your just go for it attitude!
I love how your slippers turned out!

I'd take english toffee cheesecake to pumpkin cheesecake any day.
Jenna, it's so lovely to hang out and craft with you!❤
Punch needling a jacket is my DREAM! It seems so complicated though with all the seems.
thanksgiving in the united states is in late november so that could be why costco is (supposed to be) still selling pumpkin stuff
They look great! I wish I had your patience!
I… I had no idea I could just buy soles for espadrilles!

The slippers are very cool. Excellent job.
I started needle punching because of your rug Super enjoy it. Love your slippers.
your parrot is so cute. cant wait to try this

i almost died at the sound of the slippers squeaking while you were dancing, i got goosebumps
Another Jenna wonder! They look professionally made, store bought! A "10" for sure.
Loved glad you show the whole process, warts n all ⭐🌸🙂
Just sat down with my current WIP and opened YT to your video first on my fyp, perfecting timing 💗
Very nice pair of slippers you did very good job
Thanks for making me smile! You always inspire me Jenna❤
Awesome slippers! I’ve never tried punch needle! U have inspired me!
Those are so cute! I wonder if you could include a needlepoint or embroidery section? Love 'em! Good job lady 😊
Ooh, such a creative way to utilize punch needle! Also, just fyi there is a high frequency present in your room shots that might be worth considering trying to EQ out. Great video!!
Those turned out really good.
The “slipper top” is called an “upper” :) if you were wondering!
Tip for punch needleing, use a non slip hoop 💡 they keep the fabric from slipping and than you can really punch 👊
They look AMAZING
jack next to you while youre editing🥹 so precious
I cut chicken with scissors too, absolute game changer 😮
frozen fingers/thumb benefits from being placed under your arms...so a hug yourself moment helps!
I love the slippers!
JENNA!!!! these are amazing!!!!!! i love them so much! you did a great job. The colours are great together
Omg I'm so glad I found your channel!!!! This felt like watching myself in third person 😂 love the energy!!!
I love how often you talk about food in your videos 😂
I live in Wa State. There were pumpkin cheesecakes at Costco last month, I think they're only available November.. For US Thanksgiving
An idea so you have to restart if have cut the fabric already, you can sew an extra piece of fabric outside the permieter so it can fit on the hoop.
Awesome. You always amaze me with your creativity. I love the shoes.
Loving this sooo much!!!

The tap shoe slipper dance got me 😂😂😂
Hi Jenna, I love your videos!!! :) what do you think about doing another timed crochet/knitting challenge (e.g. the 9 hour challenge you did)?
They turned out really cute🙂
Love your slippers
I just absolutely adore you and your channel so much 🧡
Omg yeee! I was waiting this whole week for this video and i love it,😊
I love the Cinderella rage moment, "It fits!!!!"
I tried the Costco pumpkin cheesecake and it was pretty good!

Jenna excellent slippers
Love the slippers! One question: How did you adhere them to the soles?
They look gorgeous.
Would also been nice to add the dark color of the other color- options as a contrast.
If you made a skirt out of all 4 of the colors, just lines that would look gorgeous.
How much did it finally cost in all?
Why didn‘t you show how to sow the 2 pieces together or to the sole? Would have been extra handy.
Big hugs to the doggies…. :).
Have a nice evening everyone!!!!
I wonder if u could make these but with your own soles too. So like a fluffy slipper the whole way through if that makes sense
I absolutely love your videos. You are a hoot! Also, you are very creative!
They look great! I would love to learn how to punch needle or even cross stitch! You're such an inspiration, and I totally would have been bittersweet about the cheese cake, too! I mean, c'mon Cosco! 😅
