And here in the season 4 this song appears for the second time in the entire series during Hange's final standoff against the rumbling. Perhaps Hange fully entrust her fellow comrades that they can fulfill a better future even without her being there to see it
Omg. You are entirely right. I also wanna add something. For years now I wanted this Song to play at Hange's death and MAPPA actually took it. Finally this Song is getting the credit it deserves. As a german this Song is quite exceptional as for the first time listening you don't get that it is german as a native speaker. But the lyrics are genius:
"Bis dieser heiße Wind, unsere Flügel nimmt" means "Until that Hot Wind takes our wings" symbolizing Hange's death and basically making it a call since season 1 when Sawano Composed it. Insane masterpiece and planned over a Decade ago.

I dont need to watch episode i read manga from start to finish and if you cant see differences between young and old and that a person changes obviously because of maturity, seems you didnt got the ending. Eren got depression as he got older like reiner he even says they are the same, because his hate faded he knows he needs to do things that he doesnt wants to do, because there is no other choice. Young eren was filled with curiosity of walls and the dream to watch the sea, older eren accepted things as they are, the world hates eldians but he rather eliminate the world than eliminate his friends, even so his friends were against it, he forced them to fight him and kill him to erradicate titans as the last sacrifice. If you cant understand his sacrifice you didnt got the ending (was a useless with last chapter)
The details of Hange’s vision fade away as she charging for the final attack as the flame eat her eyes was something incredible and sad 😢 and its also her scream that traumatizes me.. Mappa did a great job animating her ending.
She died like a true leader 🙌🏻 very emotional

I have to say that the pronouncment in this song is mich better than pronouncment in other songs of SnK. The woman did a good job, it's very hard for a Japanese to speak a clear German. Yes this ost is so underated compared to youseebgirl or ashes on fire, since only being used in season 1 when squad levi chased by ft. until they used it for hange's death.
This song is my most favorite ost out of all the aot ost since the very beginning the ost came out, it can give you the satisfying of emotional heroic moment.
Yea it was used to symbolise hange sacrificing herself for her comrades, as Erens former comrades begged eren to keep going on while asking him to trust them.

It's no critics for the song itself, it's just more the pronounciation... my wife understands each word for me it's hard. probably it's a matter of fantasy to understand it the real way. But nevertheless I wonder who created the lyric it's in some cases like a google translation because noone talks like this. On the other hand it's impressive to create this piece of text for japanese and sing in another language family aditional to foreign letter set.

This song has a special place in my heart. Hearing it during Hange 's badass moment really hit home. It is extremely emotional and it pays tribute to hange heroic act. I am glad that is trending after the first ep if the last season.

I absolutely love how AOT includes songs in different languages that you wouldn’t normally see on any other anime. AOT is seriously one of a kind. Also I love the piano in this song

the lyrics are about how Ymir is buidling the Titanbodies in the Paths dimension, even tho while i see the kind of simmillarities, its not exactly very defintive, like "Baukasten" is not a Bucket and Bricks are not Sand. I dunno^^ Or now that i think about it, maybe its referring to Eren destroying the Walls with the Coordinate, thats a little more fitting^^^

I'm a german manga reader @chapter 138 and i now realize that this song is a foreshadowing of some importent parts of the story. For example the part ,,Ist das der Zerstörer oder der Schöpfer?" Thats the question about Eren since season 4 and within the aot-timeloop theory.

Thats because the singer is Japanese. Given her nationality I'd give her the passing grade.
German is a hard language but u can kinda understand her so even if u Sound bad dont stop. Everybody speaking a foreign language sounds weird at first just Keep going. And the Music is indeed good enough to balance it out. Focusing too much on her prounaunciation… ist like being in a german lesson or something like that.
