I see it every day with my white neighbors' children. Extreme hate for me. I experience it and feel the hatred every time they see me. Their parents also tell other neighbors to hate me and stare me down like they want to hurt me. Every time!

Well, this is for sure, 100% false. I know a woman that is a racist...but, her children are not. They love EVERYONE. I also knew a racist man who have loving children. That man changed on his death bed and learned to love his fellow men as he loved himself. So, don't preach that crap...cause it ain't so.

I don't know Pastor Carl, but now I'm gonna look him up. It's so good to see generations getting along and openly telling of their own faith and fears. Pastors are sometimes perceived as these invincible beings, but it is not often spoken of. I hope they continue to have these honest discussions like these. :-)

@@Rebecca-hc5ju Whatever Carl Lentz has done is on him and him alone, but this video needs to stay up. These types of conservations need to be heard. Bishop Jakes got it right, racism is still alive, but we need to see this as a human issue, an issue in contemporary America, but we can’t act like nothing is going on. He also is saying these things out of love, not in a narrative that many organizations and people believe today. A person’s color of skin should not matter. Injustice affects everyone in one way or another. He even denounced rioting. He even admitted about that America has been guilty of racism and discrimination, and yet he still loves this country. He is saying this for everyone’s best interest.

Thank you bishop for remembering the Latinos as i am one that are going thru struggles in the same sorts.. My true dream is that we all walk as one kind. I love all colors of people , they are the seasoning of our world. We must stand together as one to correct the wrong as one people. When Jesus comes to pick up his people it won't be one type of color. It will be one with God. Thank you for your encouragement to fight for justice going forward. We will overcome. We as the people of God will fight the good fight. In Jesus name I pray. Let us now be a throne to make a difference towards justice

    • @jossjoss1326
      @jossjoss1326 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@Bajie Queen Sister we do suffer from many injustices in this country in all aspects including the economical, social, racial, and judicial. But the problem within the Latino community is that we are often times afraid. Afraid that if we raise our voices we will suffer more than we did in our own countries of origin. We are afraid because we are immigrants often finding ourselves as strangers in this land that for many of us brings liberties and opportunities that more than so never attainable where we are originally from.
We are taught to bow down, to keep our heads down, and stay quiet for the fear of losing our jobs, our homes, smeared as "insobordinate", and be deemed second class and illegal even after living in this country for years having gained citizenship and higher education. Our roots run strong and we teach our children to value them, but we are afraid of persecussion from not being truly part of this country even after adjusting and needing to whitewash our own culture to assimilate. But please know that we also want freedom and to be treated as equals like you, and we are weeping hard over the injustices suffered that will not go unseen by God like those of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, and the others on the neverending list.
We have our woes and prejudice to overcome, but the veil has been lifted from our eyes and we are awakening because this is about humanity, about the agape love with no exceptions that Jesus taught and commanded unto us to profess. More than ever before it is true that we are living in the end times, and it is evident that Jesus' coming is near. We must pray unto God so that He may transform the hardened hearts, renew minds, break all chains of our ancestral inequities, bring healing, repentance, salvation, awaken His fire in us, and bring us as one in the body of Christ. We must not frail and continue to stand against the enemy as he prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour to bring destruction and evil to what God has already planned for us.
I pray that the Lord bless you and your family overabundantly as He has promissed to keep His children safe through all transgression and tribulation. Shalom!

This message from Bishop Jakes touched me deeply. I have pondered the complexity of the issues at hand for many years. I believe those of us following Christ should stand for right action. Coming against the voices of men is an exercise in futility though and I believe the gravity of our spiritual condition at present requires the fear of God. We must guard ourselves from having the fear of man, whether they are police who show an evil heart or anyone in darkness.
I was moved by T.D.Jakes of the serious need for the value of standing for human beings without exception but am given to pause over the times we live in and the hardening of people’s hearts.
I am still grateful for the tenderness and compassion and the call to spoken truth that I heard in this interview. I am called to be on my knees in prayer over these terrible events.

Hi Pastor Jakes, I believe now is the time to execute the change that's so yearned for in America by Christians who are passionate about it by bringing a bill for the national assembly to pass as a law criminalising institutional brutality, including where people die in custody of any authority due to manhandling. This is what I feel led in my spirit, sir to say to you. So much have been said and so much anger and hurt have led people to act out in pain rather than thinking through issues and come up with solid ideas that the government can work with. Do this so that generations afterwards will remember that someone got up and forced the change not only comforting and consoling but take this real action Man of God, because He is counting on you to make the change. Thanks Sir.

Wow, goose pumps just rushed through my body when he mentioned the Elmina Castle in Ghana. I visited this place in 2017 and it was the most emotional experience I’ve ever had in my life. I took my half Ghanaian children to learn their history. The church doors in the Castle had Psalms:132 written above it. I couldn’t erase that Image I was asking God how can a human heart praise and worship you above what’s beneath of all this?

I absolutely LOVE Bishop Jakes (I literally would not be living had it not been for Bishop Jakes' obedience and ministry). I am SO GRATEFUL for the conversation that Bishop Jakes is having with Pastor Lentz. More conversations like these need to be had. I see the compassion and empathy in both of these men of God.
I'm an African-American woman. I LOVE Jesus! I believe in Jesus! And it's ONLY BECAUSE OF JESUS that my heart has been changed. But we can't wait for prejudiced people to get a heart transplant from Jesus. They may NEVER come to Jesus so the laws need to be changed so they at least have to abide by the law for our human rights to be protected.

    I am a white man.
I am the pastor of a multi-ethnicity church in Houston. I have been the pastor here for 35 years. For the first 12 years I questioned our people and cried out to God to help us break our monoculture white congregation. When I finally found the source of the problem - a very few, but highly vocal racist group, I had a meeting with them telling them to cease and desist or find another church. Some left.
    We broke through.
For the last 22 years our church has grown more diverse. We will have 5000+/- people attend on a weekend at one of our four locations. I don’t know the exact percentage, but we are close to 45% African American, 45% Caucasian American and 10% Latino American. OH, THE JOY OF WORSHIPING TOGETHER! OH, FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING ABOUT THE HONOR WE LIVE IN WITH ONE ANOTHER.
I thought I could say that with our diversity we were doing well, and I am grateful for what we’ve done. Listening to Pastor Carl and Bishop Jakes has made me weep again… I can do more. I can use the uniting influence God gave us to push harder, longer and relentlessly.
    THIS.HAS.GOT.TO.STOP.
