I love KBSHIMMER rise up. I’ll put up with the formula just for the colors. It is changing leaves against a blue fall sky. If you add thinner, it’s more manageable.
Blue was one of my first favourite colours (alongside yellow), and I have gone back to my roots absolutely loving blue these days. I think my "Bikini so teeny" has faded as it used to be more periwinkle but it's now a blue like yours. Totally loving "Bloom". "Mr Wildflower" looks like my perfect kinda polish. Thank goodness I have "Lion..." - that was one of those polishes everyone should have haha. My favourite right now is "Louise" by Familiar Polish designed by moi 😁 and not just because it's special to me, I genuinely think you'd love it. It's in the indigo direction.
I’ve heard the UK Bikini So Teeny is different than the US version but idk if that’s true. You have designed so many polishes Louise. 🤣 That’s so cool!

I had a blue era a couple of years ago and because of that I now have two drawers of blue polishes in my Helmers. 😅 but I could not pinpoint which one would be my favorite. It would be so hard. Beautiful blues 💙💙💙. I am stunned each time I see the US Bikini So Teeny version. The European version is darker and leans towards periwinkle. I like to think Essie adds this nearly invisible shimmer to achieve a more intense saturation. Like the color pigments reflect themselves in the shimmer and therefore add dimension. But I sure read too much into it. My mainstraam favs would be Zoya Ryan and Essie Lapis of Luxury. Is Britney Beach a similar blue to Nails Inc Baker Street (that one is my alltime favorite blue). I don‘t own A lion with a thorn in its paw but plenty of siblings, cousins and I guess even an aunt and I love them all. I love your ILNP picks though don‘t have any of them but I got Seaglass, Nocturnal, Last Call and love them all
I didn’t realize there were different versions! That’s a good idea on the shimmer. Makes sense to me! I’ve heard good things about Ryan too from Nurse Jackie I think!
I love your videos! Not a fan of blue personally, I can only vear very light shades (Essie GC Perfect Posture for example) or very dark, navy blue. There's something for everyone 🙂
Years ago there was a a blue nail polish called, "Skin Tight Denim" by a company called NY and Company. It was discontinued. I sure did like it. There is no other blue polish that comes near it.
I love blues. I have Essie bikini so teeny and love. It looks so good on every skin type. I don’t have Brittany beach because it looks so similar to sinful colors endless blue and salon perfect Yacht-a yacht-a which I have both and love them. I need to pick up that kbshimmer it’s gorgeous. I love the fact that kbshimmer polish stay for awhile and their price point is so affordable too.
I agree! It’s such a universal shade! Yeah you don’t need both the Sinful Colors and the Orly. They’re really close and both beautiful! I love that they keep their stuff around too. I wish more brands did!
I love blues but I’m the opposite, I love dark shades. I think having a light skin tone has darker shades looking better on me. My favorite blue of all time is Essie’s Aruba Blue but they discontinued it. Aruba Blue was always my summer pedicure color, now I wear It’s Brittany Beach 😊 TFS
I’ve been hoping to find that Ethereal polish in a destash, but no luck so far 😂 I’d love for it to come back for rewind some time, but I think the more sheer, glowy polishes from Ethereal are what everyone goes crazyyy for. I have so many fave blues! 🫶🏻BKL The Crone, DAM If It Fits, I Slip, LynB Designs Gemini (The Twins), Mooncat Sabertooth, Polished For Days Fintastic and Pahlish Send Nudis, and Paint It Pretty Rainbow Hair are probably my TOP faves 💙

I don't know if it's still available, but Sapphire Up from China Glaze changed my mind about royal/cobalt blue shimmer polishes. I used to hate them, because when I 1st started wearing nail polish, the only blues available were royal/cobalt shimmers that were sheer, watery, and streaky. I just ignored every other form of that color/finish to come out until a couple years ago, when I decided I should give it another chance & picked up Sapphire Up. I'm glad I did!

I adore blue polish. I recently wore BKL No Child Hungry and it was so beautiful. I was so surprised at how much I loved it. I also recently wore BKL They Would Know My Name One Day. I don't mind the stain I get from reds, but the stain I get from blues... Maybe I should try doubling my base coat. These are gorgeous though. Both Bluebird polishes took my breath away.
I love, love, love the light blues. I need both of those bluebird polishes. But I am that one person who doesn’t like the Orly polish. And I will not wear navy polishes. That Willdflower polish was interesting, but I would not wear it.
I'm a desaturated girly, brights are not my jam - give me jewel tones, greys, and pastels. I'm on the hunt for a true navy that's not too deep it appears black, but not too saturated.

Two of my faves are Sally Hansen 'Dark Huemoor' and Zoya 'Sailor.' I'd say the latter is less saturated. Neither looks black in my opinion.
