Gearz On the Road - Squarebody Chevy - Stacey David's Gearz S13 E12

  • We’re on the road, again, as Stacey visits a truck enthusiast working on his first ground up restoration. It’s a sweet, clean, square body that’s in good enough condition that it might be on the road in a couple of months. But every build can use a little push, and Gearz On the Road does just that! After that, we dig into toolboxes. Hang out as Stacey talks with two engineers about what makes the new Cornwell Platinum boxes so tough. From rollers to welds, these might be the Ultimate box! Then the Cheetah is back in the garage, but only for a day or two before it heads out to get the body work finished and get some new color. It’s all here on Gearz.

You know I couldn't remember why I stopped watching Stacy because I used to love him on trucks, now that I've watched a few of these episodes and I remember all the damn advertisements. I just got done watching 23 minutes of him selling product , it's one big infomercial .

I'm getting a 20x30 shop with 12ft walls 10ft roll up garage door, standard walk in side door and front window built for my stereo/custom car shop. $6000 installed. Ill have to provide the concrete slab, electrical and insulation though

Good idea to have the charging of those Lithium batteries inside a metal box, in case something goes wrong and a fire results.

I have been watching since Stacey was on Trucks, but After binge watch these season 13 episodes , I think I would like to see more working on projects and less advertising of products. The show is starting to feel like one long commercial.

My last name is Cornwell, and it would be awesome to have a bunch of tools or a tool box with my own name made right on them, but who the hell can afford them??!! I've worked my entire life, I've even had jobs where I worked 7 days a week, 365 days a year with only getting half a day off on Sunday, it's not like I'm a bum. I've had my first open heart surgery at 12 years old and my second at 28 years old and had my aortic valve replaced and 10 inches of my large intestine removed and I still go to work everyday, you won't find me saying I need to stay home on disability, but I just can't afford to spend that much money on tools. Be careful about how you "pick on" those bargain tools, it's all some of us can afford. Are we proud of them, no, but they will get the job done too. My Son and I have mostly Craftsman tools, with a bunch of miscellaneous brands mixed in. Cornwell, Snap on, Matco, pretty much all those high dollar tools are not in our budget. We make it happen with what we have, that's how it is in the real world.

I did the same thing. I worked 80 hours a week and got nowhere. I own my own business now and life is great but it has it's downsides. I can now afford all the things I could only dream of owning. I bought a 1969 Camaro z28 which is my biggest dream. I working on buying all the tools I've always wanted to buy. If life isn't going the way you want it, change your life my friend. God bless.

Maybe he's "advertising" but he's helping and promoting businesses located here in the US, and also informing folks about products. I don't see issues with that as there are always lulls and stalls with projects...

Hi Stacey, I'm 51 and have CHF. I've been restoring my 1981 Chevy C10 long bed for the last 3 years but recently I haven't been able to work on it because of my health. I would appreciate any pointers you could give me on locating decent used doors, tailgate in the Houston area. It's been nearly impossible

It's a good toolbox, but what backyard DIY guy wants to pay $6,000 - $8,000 for a toolbox? Get a whole shop full of tools from HF for less than that. Yeah, some of them aren't so great, but they work and are guaranteed. We all aren't professionals and can afford a $100K shop... 🤷‍♂

Good grief when are you guys gonna give up on this infomercial approach to a youtube channel. This isn't the way these shows work on youtube. Do some cool builds and actually show the work as its being done. Cut out all the product pitches. Pitch one product per episode if you have to. This is ridiculous. You got about 3 minutes of an episode here and the rest is trying to sell everything in the shop other than the toilet paper you wipe your ass with, which I wouldn't doubt you'll be trying to sell me in the next episode.
