After reading and watching a few videos of the tent ridge hike my wife and I discussed hiking the way you went. Today I came across this video and now for sure we will go this way. In my opinion this way is best if you are leary of scrambles and narrow areas near the peak. Thankyou for sharing!
So did you guys do it Clockwise? It's so confusing eh on alltrails so many mixed reviews haha. I want to do it the way you guys did it too so it's a shorter hike.
We did it as an out and back going anti clockwise! So at the trail head we went right instead of left and just went up to the ridge and back down that way! Does that help!
Hi, would I be missing out a lot if I do not go to the weather station and go counterclockwise right to the true summit and back? I'm taking some engagement photos and my photographer insists this is easier (in/out) to summit but I don't want to miss out on any views. Are the views at the true summit and ridgeline walking towards it just as nice as those if i were to go clockwise and do a full loop?
Hi, in this video we just went up the right side to the viewpoint over spray lakes. We didn’t do the full loop or go to the true summit. It sounds like your photographer is taking about doing what we did in this video so you can see what views we saw, but I haven’t done the full loop to compare!
We didn't do that section! As we explained in the video, we did it as an out-and-back anticlockwise to make it to the ridge quickly for sunset. The scramble section is over the other side of the ridge and we didn't do it. Doing the hike the way we did was very achievable :)

So glad it was helpful! I didn't complete the scramble section but I did love going this route so I hope it works for you also :)
