All saw from my notifications at first was "you haven't watched but 10 seconds of the video and su".. Thought you were going to say sucks 😂😆... Which is fine I love everybody and their opinion but I'm so glad you said subbed 😆. Kansas Fishing Baby!!
I will try to stay as safe as possible. I wouldn't suggest learning as you go on the fly like I did sometimes on the river, but it really does teach you what to do and not do 😂.. Even though the best teacher is time on the river, stay safe as well. I appreciate you commenting and watching man!!
Bowersock Dam has claimed many snag victims over the years 😂... What I started doing was when I reel in, I just barely get the line tight and then I lift up and reel in as fast as I can. I barely get snags anymore...
If you're going for this side of the dam, I park next to the hotel in the back, you can look at Google maps and look at the parking lot just past the railroad tracks. I'm not sure if it's considered a legal place to park but, I've never had any problems and never seen any signs saying not to park there. There are the whole bunch of homeless people that are right there which are cool people, but just letting you know that you might see some things but, I never had my vehicle messed with while I've had it parked there. you can then take a trail down to a gravel path that will get you to the dam or you can walk down the boardwalk next to the hotel and there are ways to get down to this spot through a couple openings there as well
The red ones are Tangling With Catfish rods monster edition. And the white pole I believe is just a Bass Pro Combo that was fairly cheap. You always gotta have a cheap rod in the water next to the expensive ones bc you always get bites on the cheap pole 😂
Right now we decide where we go kinda on the fly. This was Sunday night/early Monday morning. Hopefully we can start planning better and more consistent
Hey man. sorry it took a while to get back to you. I've had a lot of family issues but we'll figure out something sometime possibly. hope you're doing good
Giant!!!
Thanks. He was a fun one to reel in for sure
I'm new to big cat fishing. Nice flathead. If you ever need someone to go with you, I'd be willing. Lol

Anyone knows if the walnut river produces good size fish? By el dorado to be more exact.
I've heard of it but, I'm not 100% sure how the fishing is.
How do you avoid the rock snags on the bottom?! Every cast was a snag for us
