Hey been watching your videos for a little bit and gotten a lot of inspiration so I would like to say thank you for that. And after I post this I'm finally going to subscribe cuz I usually watch you on TV and I can't get the Subscribe stuff to work but I'm going to use my phone. But my question is how do you get the Habitat homes to where there's not a bunch of animals around it. Because every time I go to a planet and I want to use this because of the numerous videos I've seen for a lot of ideas. But every time I go there I have to get the animal skin up to so much in order for it to unlock in my inventory build section. And when I do build it whatever is the animal that was the most dominant that I scanned is the one that is always hanging around they're always on the porch they're inside they're always around it and it just takes away from the feel of what I want to use it for.
When you build your animal husbandry there’s a control panel on the outside of it and there you can change the animal that will spawn there. It only works for animals you’ve 100% scanned on the planet and they have to be outpost allowed. So you’ll want to find a planet that has small bugs that are allowed for animal husbandry’s. In this video here th-cam.com/video/bhLoKRY7Aa0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vojUxRiMYmMDUr8s around 8:55 I show the type of bug. But if your on pc you can also just open up your commands click the animal and type disable. Unfortunately we can’t just place them without animals spawning but for the those small bugs you’ll hardly notice them there. And thanks for subbing!
Most people (me included) are going to want extensions of what we've already seen Bethesda and modders do. We need to dream much bigger for Starfield because the potential is so much bigger. This is still small, but I was just thinking what I'd like to see is an extension of the ideas from Sim Settlements from Fallout 4 with a Big "but" I'd like a community organized system that pre populates your entire game when you start a new game from scratch. Which is HUGE. And would be customizable with hundreds of settings. An example would be: you start a brand new game and thousands upon thousands (if you choose through settings) of cities and POIs would be registered and ready for populating planets as you go to them. And they could be conplete with working stores, quests and economies to play off the base stuff. I might go to hidacha and find an enormous city that will even evolve over time. I might find thousands of points of interests. I might find an empty planet I build an outpost on, but as I play, other settlements appear over time. We need insanely Big dreamers and modders because Starfield will support that. Dream CRAZY Big.
I am always blown away by how innovative and creative you are with the limited assets we have in the starfield builder . The use of dart boards and mannequins for a gun range - very clever . The use of the letters to create signage for the store very smart! The level of detail is just mind boggling - it takes me forever to just add items to shelves in this game LOL - I cant not imagine how long it took you to complete this build . I really wish we could actually visit other peoples builds in game i would love to walk through this you really captured the atmosphere of a camping park . The farming mod that is out looks really interesting in creating a community like this . Question - when you create the stairs and need to move them to the location you want to place them at, do they stay connected as one object - so you can move them into place?? or do you build in the location that you will place them. I have tried something similar to this to make stair will very limited success . Looking forward to what you can do with the mods!! cheers and thank you
Thank you! This one definitely took quite some time! And sorry I should have been more clear showing that, no they will not all move together. You must start wherever you want the stairs at, so when I connected it to the porch of the Animal Husbandry I had placed my first wall shelf at the top of the porch and worked my way down using the coffee tables. So for an example I’d have 5 coffee tables stacked on top of eachother w a med crate and then keep removing a coffee table as I got lower to the ground. Hope that makes sense! I know not everyone likes using mods, but there is a mod that adds stairs now which is a little more practical than this method lol.
This... THIS is classic Mills Builds at its finest!!! First 5 min gave me goosebumps. Gotta say I'm a vanilla guy myself, and I will miss these days, but here's to the future! I'm bummed you didn't use my storage container overhang idea, would have worked perfectly with the trailers! Thanks again for all the vids and inspiration man, we salute you!!!
Thanks dude! I like to keep things vanillaish as well, but mods such as place anywhere from fallout, or unlocked settlement objects which basically just gave you all the items that you see in the world as build decor that’s what I’m interested in most. That and I can’t wait til we get some sort of walls and roofs so we can actual build our own unique structures. I’ve also been working on the creation kit so maybe you could actually get to enjoy some of my stuff in your game! I got big ideas for the future just gotta make it all happen lol
Thank you! If you like this you’re going to really like the mod I’m releasing next, you’ll be able to build your own trailer park way easier than this!
The ones who were originally going to make it lost all interest in doing so and so left behind the tools to make it happen. Aside from that there is Elite Dangerous and who knows, give it a decade or some years and one might happen but Starfield will really need to build up it's universe like Elder Scrolls before it gets to that point.
Awsome build pretty neat & the new map icons make where u can see where u placed it all.. I'm waiting for 3 things from the creation kit. #1. All objects completely static cause the dynamic objects just get moved around, knocked over & so forth. #2. A place in red anywhere mod like from Fallout 4. (would have saved u tons of time with those stairs) #3. A rotational object arrow for moving & placing objects more precisely, u know the Red-Green-Blue arrow type thing. The decorating is a bit of a P.I.A @ the the time being. I just wanna place the object where I want it w/out a lot of hassle & be there & stay there let's say even if I or an NPC bumps into it.
Thanks!! A rotational object thing would be really nice, but I’ve been waiting for the place anywhere mod since the game came out lol. That’ll end up being the most useful mod for me, can’t stand when something should allow placement but it doesn’t, and a mod similar to OCDecorator from fallout to place our own clutter all static would be great.
I'd like a mod where it's you and a small colony of people on a random planet, and the goal is to survive and rebuild. no enemies (aside from creatures) and no other cities. just the last of humanity trying to rebuild.
Yeah I have a discord, I was thinking of making one for my channel so I can talk about build ideas, as well as mod ideas for the future. I’ve been working on the CK myself but still a rookie with it

This is.... Absolutely incredible. I am in awe 🤩
I'd cry when I heard From Past to Present music
Pure build genius Sir!
Thank you! If you like this you’re going to really like the mod I’m releasing next, you’ll be able to build your own trailer park way easier than this!
Very cool. Love the vibes. There’s a mod that lets you generate NPCs in your settlement btw.
Is that the Skyrim theme? So restful 😊
From Past to Present
Love this!!!!!! This game would be incredible if it was multiplayer
A multiplayer/ MMO mod would be amazing

Cozy space community, what could be better? Just add some sports drinks and it's good.

@@MillsBuilds AMEN BROTHER !!! as a fellow builder I feel ya pain.
Bruh you are only making me want to get Starfield on PlayStation even more
The day will come, I have no crystal ball but knowing how these things go it will come.

動物飼育施設は,広い二階建ての家としての魅力があるが,照明がないため実用性が無い.
Yeah unfortunately a lot of the outpost lighting is too dark and inconsistent, especially the animal facilities.
Are you on discord? Im working on POIs on the CK so could be good to chat even if nothing comes from it
Yeah I have a discord, I was thinking of making one for my channel so I can talk about build ideas, as well as mod ideas for the future. I’ve been working on the CK myself but still a rookie with it
@@MillsBuilds Im also just learning too. I'm using a bunch of tutorials and discord groups to learn. Whats your username? Ill add you
@qwertyvypez I’m pretty sure it’s mills1227, my pic should be the same as my TH-cam
