14:13 Indies making games like this really stands out. It’s something no big game companies ever do. It’s an example where chasing trends isn’t necessary.
I hope the tutorial for the "combat" is good, because I have no idea what was happening during any of those battles. Looks like my sort of game though.
If i got it right, your "Cards" cover a specific area and get rid of "threats" that match up with this area of coverage, if you match up your card's entire threat coverage with threats, you get an extra turn
This is a neat little game, I love how the pixel art looks! The first boss, the EPA driver, is a reference to a special Swedish law that lets 15yos drive a vehicle using a car chassis, as long as it only gets up to 30km/h like a moped. Its original purpose was to give rural teens easier access to transportation without having to rely on public transport, and the typical EPA driver stereotype is that they’re an immature teenager and possibly a country bumpkin at that.
Little bit similar to Heading Out when it comes to resource management, managing money, fuel, sleep hours, picking up passengers & other mechanics but with more driving involve.
One thing that bugs me is that your car has steering wheel on the right while the road is driven on the right, traffic passes you on the right lane instead of left lane and you also stop in the middle of the road while stoping at gas station for example lol (oncoming traffic passes you on the left and others on the righ, meaning you're sitting in between lanes)
One time , I play and got into drunk state, I lost all fuel, then the game changed the part “keep driving “ in the last part of video, when I refill it , I didn’t know what to do next . Then I use call parent then have to start back where I started. I glad that I watch your video ! Small guide : the slide extra space is better than the shopping cart
Interessting game concept ... even so it is nothing for me, but very interesting! btw. if you think about other driving games, maybe its time to look again into Motor Town, if i see it right its already a year since your last play. =)
Wait, is the my tools option a reference to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? He had similar items in his range rover for the implication that he kidnaps people.
Wow this looks pretty cool but I'm not very keen on the "Combat". Also no controller support but I really like those horrific graphics too. HAHAHAHA For the longest time I didn't like those kinds of graphics but I've oddly come to admire them.
I am not gonna lie. I prefer pixel games anytime. Mainly cause my PC sucks. But also cause I am freaking old. I ride motorcycle and play Stardew Valley and stuff. Pixel games are my childhood.
It is a game made in a retro style, there are people who like it and those who do not like it. Personally, I love this type of game, but I know that they are not for everyone
Proof that we don’t need realistic graphics all the time.
I feel like we are just different. People like us just find a charm and esthetic in this sort of games😅
"Don't talk as if doing this is easier; it's actually harder than making realistic graphics."
Any 2D art has its own challenges tho
The graphics is really cool tho..
Hey, this is fairly "realistic" in pixel art standards, don't get me wrong tho :D
The starting car is a Volvo 240, and the first boss is an EPA-tractor, the devs might be from around here. (looks up the studio, they're

Thanks for explaining the whole 'EPA traktor' thing, a lot of non-Swedish people like me would totally not have gotten the reference otherwise! 👍
Came for the Volvo, stayed for the gameplay.
Feels like Papers, please on wheels.
It also felt like The Final Station
I used to own a Volvo 240. That thing was a tank.
You know how i imagine the perfect road trip game ? The long drive + Road 96.
has more charisma than 95% of games today.
I love the vague nods to Oregon Trail :)
EPA is a Swedish and Finnish thing were 15 year old's are allowed to drive cars that drive at max 30km/h (18mph)
Glory to Raptoria! look out for the bears
What a fanastic-looking game!
and another great pixel game on wishlist, thanks ! !!
Right??
Love the art style.
This game looks awesome! I'd love to see a remake of the old Dope Wars text based game done in this road trip style!
This is beautiful
The fact that the boss is an EPA is insanely cool ! :O
My first time seeing someone with cool name "Raptor" ❤❤
i love the abundance of 240s
PC indie scene rocks. Thank you for playing and showing this game to us. Absolutely buying it once released.

I hope this comes to consoles
New isnt always good. But this is an exception.
Good game.
looks neat, I have to point out that they wrote "break" instead of "brake" tho...
Great game, can't wait for the full version, hope they add seggs
Finally have my dream game🤩🤩
Are we there yet?
No sleeping bag lol. Cold tent nights
3:49 reminds me of Benson from Regular Show
Westkust is an awesome band. Try Blankenberge and Makthaverskan, also. And Yung.
I really hope they add mod support, I'd love to see some custom cars added in
this game would be a blast for my mobile
oed. as in 'nothing was o'ed'. owed. Like the old saying "nothing was owed". Glad to help with you slappy.

Great game
They should pack it with features because im sure it gets boring after a while
There is loooots of things u can do
Wow you sound like ray liotta from goodfellers
Cool game.
So it's like Oregon Trail?
I wouldn’t call it European style I would call it Scandinavian
wow it feels like dustland delivery
Convoy
Any chance it coming to mobile?
as soon as i saw the art style i had to get it
I wish streamer mode had at least some copyright free music that fits the tone
This is not really a driving game, more of a road trip game. :) As for modern retro-style driving games, Motor Town is delightful.
World Of Horror came to Switch awhile ago. There's no way this won't make it to Switch
earn to die but polished
Road 96; midnight Racing ( played when was a kid); beware (horror game); The long drive; endless suburbia.

@hiimpercy awesome thank you! This is my kind of game like "Pacific Drive'
is this available in Mobile?
Shame we can't play the demo. From what I see it isn't available any more.
It's back (well for me anyway - I think the demo has a seperate steam page)
Is it just me or does that look like a Datsun bre car. Omg. I love Datsun 510’s but this car reminds me of it so much. Am I tripping y’all?

Very original and good-looking, but I don't understand how that combat system works

Exactly all this praise. This game looks like horse dung. And the gameplay is absolutely boring. Early 90s ms dos game at most. Hard pass.
