For a storm nut likr me, this was bliss! Excellently captured from start to finish with grest comemtary fromm you. What a monstet of a storm - lightning like a demonic stroboscope and thunder like celestial shellfire. Coupled with ferocious gusty winds and a veritable waterfall of rain! Thanks for sharing this. Loved every second ! !
Awesome video!!! I used to be terrified of storms as a little kid but now as a grown adult I love them. However, I would be definitely running inside after that first close lightning crack.
GREAT VID!!! I must get my t'storms from others since I have not lived on the east coast in 19 years. But I do get back there every June - July and we will get some good storms now and then but vigorous lightning producers like this are rare for any area. I like your limited narration. Normally I like to let videos like this speak for themselves but your narration was enjoyable, nice work!
This was fun to watch. I grew up in Schenectady, and now live in the desert of Utah. We never get storms like this. I rely in the kindness of strangers to give me my thunderstorm fix. This was very good, thank you!
That was brilliant filming its so good i am going to watch it again them lightning bolts wow that storm didnt seem to want to go away we dont get these in the u.k in northern england but them down in southern england like london might think otherwise how much rain fell any idea and how long did it last please was this 8 years ago anyway i will subcribe to you and one last question was that the worst storm u have ever had would u say
Hmm, that is a hard question. I haven't been through many major storms, but the scariest was probably July 2005 (there are some clips from the storms on this channel). It was mostly scary because of the location I lived and the proximity of trees. Thanks for watching :) [RH]
Awesome storm, nicely captured. You're braver than I am, I'd have scuttled indoors and stayed there for the duration, some of those bolts were way too close for comfort!
Arkansas here!! Great video. I loved it when you said you hadn't seen a thunderstorm like that since you lived in Arkansas. 😂We get our fair share, that's for sure. Be safe👍🏼
That is one hell of a storm...Brilliant video..Thank you so much for this.. Hope that everyone was safe.. I love a storm ,but that looked very scary to me..
Bad storm. Thanks for not cursing. Lots of us appreciate that. Glad you didn’t get a tornado. Where’s the Arkansas storm you were talking about. Did you post it also?
Very nice, it's cool how went dark during the day to look like it's nighttime but it's not but later it lit up again and it was still daytime but anyway nice video ;)
"On May 29, 2013, Hudson, NY, faced a severe thunderstorm! What surprises did this storm bring to the community? Let’s uncover the stories behind that wild weather!"
+Yvette Jones Or just keep it to a minimum without covering the microphone. Hahaha. I know he tried. I wonder if he's reading any of our comments, though?
I do, just a bit late to reply. My later vids have less commentary. One can always add commentary later but cannot remove it. I try to keep my excitement to a minimum, but if 6:14 happens again, I can't promise I won't react :)
Are you crazy for standing out there like that you could of got seriously hurt 😢😢😢😢😢😲😲😲😲😲 you risked your life storms are nothing to mess around I'm not trying to be rude but seriously you could of gotten struck by lightning 😬😬😬😬
Probably just an overreaction by the NWS. It happens a lot here. That year we had many tornado watches and even a couple of warnings but none happened. That said, when they DON'T warn, it gets nasty sometimes. Its a crap shoot, can't really blame them. Especially with climate change making a mess of everything we know. I just tag the videos as they are. :)
Watch the first two minutes and tell me you can not see three artifacts. The first is a little vague but number two and three stand out like dogs b@LLS.
Good video, showed the "calm before the storm" moment, got dark very quickly.

Great video! Loved the sounds of the birds as the storm approached too!
You really captured that singular sense of an approaching storm. Nice!
Awesome video!!! I used to be terrified of storms as a little kid but now as a grown adult I love them. However, I would be definitely running inside after that first close lightning crack.

What's it like living in the desert?
I would be ecstatic at this opportunity. What a PERFECT storm!
1:14 what was that black thing that flue across the screen
Looks like a bug was crawling on the camera lens :/ [RH]
That lightning bolt was insane 🌩 4:45
That was brilliant filming its so good i am going to watch it again them lightning bolts wow that storm didnt seem to want to go away we dont get these in the u.k in northern england but them down in southern england like london might think otherwise how much rain fell any idea and how long did it last please was this 8 years ago anyway i will subcribe to you and one last question was that the worst storm u have ever had would u say

Woah! I would so love to see one of these clouds... Beautiful but scary at the same time!!..
That's a storm! Thanks for uploading it, I loved it.
Nice storm. Beautiful Lightnings.😃👍⚡️⚡️⚡️
Awesome storm, nicely captured. You're braver than I am, I'd have scuttled indoors and stayed there for the duration, some of those bolts were way too close for comfort!
Thanks for the video. I am also in Columbia County as well in Niverville. Nice to see stuff from our county. Thanks. Mike
Arkansas here!! Great video. I loved it when you said you hadn't seen a thunderstorm like that since you lived in Arkansas. 😂We get our fair share, that's for sure. Be safe👍🏼
Great video & storm! Cant believe how you just stand out in the open whilst lightning bolts are all around you! braver than me that's for sure! 😆👍🙂
I miss storms like this so much.
WHAT was that at 1:16 into video😲
Possible funnel in that! I think?
That is one hell of a storm...Brilliant video..Thank you so much for this..
Hope that everyone was safe..
I love a storm ,but that looked very scary to me..
Love thunderstorms :)
I hate when tornados come
super...thank you for posting
Bad storm. Thanks for not cursing. Lots of us appreciate that. Glad you didn’t get a tornado. Where’s the Arkansas storm you were talking about. Did you post it also?
1:04 That k5la (type of train horn) sounded awesome! Do you ever film trains? Would love to watch those videos
Really nice cloud formation.
I like where you are filming from. The red house/barn whatever that is pretty cool. Is that some sort of private resort or a business or something?
where is the train tracks in relation to where you were in this video?
Where the camera is pointing when still, it would be pointing west, towards the tracks and the Hudson river. About 0.6 miles according to Google.
Heard the train too
great vid. but @1.14 what is that ball rising up the middle of the screen?
bug on the lens :(
That may have been that orb someone else pointed out.
Image stabilizer ?
wtvids I'm surprised you don't have many subs, your videos are awesome! 😃
i like watching these thunder videos
Where in Arkansas did you go?? I was living in Fort Smith, Arkansas and I truly miss living there
I lived in the Benton/Bryant area for about 2 years. I miss it too, weather was much more interesting there. - RH
2008-2016.....I loved the weather there too....especially at winter time...lol
I'm in Alexander/Benton area right now, huh
great video. love thunderstorms. i like the lightning strike at 4:45 - 4:47 allong with the thunder..
Wow, incredible shelf cloud and intense lightning! I intercepted he same line in western Mass. It was very dark there too!
its good that i got sunshine over here but this storm was impressive
Great video 2 years ago captured a dark orb pretty cool.
What time of the day was this?
6:14 wow
Why you thunderstorm not yet .
Nice video, got train horn and frogs chirping. That sky was angry!
Great storm that. We get nothing like that in my part of the world. Haven’t seen a severe thunderstorm for a few years now mores the pity
Very nice, it's cool how went dark during the day to look like it's nighttime but it's not but later it lit up again and it was still daytime but anyway nice video ;)
Is that a tornado
No not in Hudson NY I live about 1 mile from the Hudson river and its not it was not a really big storm.
Nah, this was before I learned that all thunderstorms rotate, and rotation doesn't imply a tornado :)
"On May 29, 2013, Hudson, NY, faced a severe thunderstorm! What surprises did this storm bring to the community? Let’s uncover the stories behind that wild weather!"
I have only one word : Wow !
2/21/21..I miss this, it's 30 below and I cant wait for summer.
Everybody wanna see the storm, but don't want the storm to truly hit them. My first Tornado was not glamorous.
oh and 6:14 very insanely amazing
I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT Woah!!
Kaylin omg when did I comment this lol but thank you
I thought it had to be around sundown for it to be as dark as it was.
your outside filming lightening?
14:46 Pause it
I wish I could watch a storm like this with Karrie [Outsider Collective]. Just to watch it in her car, listening to Lite 105.
man you got yourself in a bad spot when that lightning hit near you, that said, great storm
Cool video, hope all that lightning didn't cause any injuries.
Fantastic video, I live in Ireland, if we got a storm like this, we'd be dead from fright!
Why does it remind me of the movie twister...?!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING. PLEASE DO BE CAREFUL.
Awesome storm great vid
this thunder storm is amuzing
Before the storm hits the birds are chirping... Then the storm hits get inside woha
Lots of CGs!
OMG that is awful hope everybodys ok
6:17 me slamming my MTB into a tree after failing a jump!!!
Wow!
6.14 would've made me evacuate my bowels.
Wow amazing
im not joking i had to yurn my brightness up it was dark
6:14 loudest thunder i have ever heard
Love the raw footage but could do without the narration
+Yvette Jones Or just keep it to a minimum without covering the microphone. Hahaha. I know he tried. I wonder if he's reading any of our comments, though?
I do, just a bit late to reply. My later vids have less commentary. One can always add commentary later but cannot remove it. I try to keep my excitement to a minimum, but if 6:14 happens again, I can't promise I won't react :)
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Wow thats a powerful thunderstorm typical from USA !!!
Lucky man!
6:14
talk...talk ...talk...
Could you please let us hear the storm? You talk weigh too much, and there's no need. The storm speaks for itself. Thank you so much.
great video footage !! awesome work grtz
If you stop moving your cam u would get better vidios ,by moving you miss a lot of the action
Are you crazy for standing out there like that you could of got seriously hurt 😢😢😢😢😢😲😲😲😲😲 you risked your life storms are nothing to mess around I'm not trying to be rude but seriously you could of gotten struck by lightning 😬😬😬😬
I guest this storm was warn for heavy rain
Probably just an overreaction by the NWS. It happens a lot here. That year we had many tornado watches and even a couple of warnings but none happened. That said, when they DON'T warn, it gets nasty sometimes. Its a crap shoot, can't really blame them. Especially with climate change making a mess of everything we know. I just tag the videos as they are. :)
wxvids OK
I'm guessing its it's from the wind. 3 things can make a storm be considered severe: wind 58 mph or higher, hail 1" diameter or bigger, or a tornado
4:45 nice!
Watch the first two minutes and tell me you can not see three artifacts. The first is a little vague but number two and three stand out like dogs b@LLS.
Alcoc415DL415 Okay, I give up. what are the three artifacts?
watch in 720p hd 1:13 to 1:17 and at 1:46 to 1:50 these are two that i can see. I will rewatch tonight and give you an up date on time stamps.
Alcoc415DL415 okay. looking forward to it!
