Media shapes our world view, and so many of our communications are sent through these platforms (including with the people we know), I think its more than reasonable these advertising engines are having some impact on our collective psyche. With billions of people using these platforms, its also fair to assume that some percentage of the populations are becoming radicalized from it. It would explain far left, far right political advocates rising to prominence over the past few years. We should be mindful of it.
