THIS is how you can BREAK 90 every single time!

- Golf is hard… but there are ways we can make it a little bit easier.
With good course management and understanding your yardages, lies and ‘good misses’ you should be able to BREAK 90 more consistently. Although we all play Golf to have fun, it would be great to improve, right?
In this video, I explain that my Driver is inconsistent at the moment. But fear not… I still have my trusty 4 iron! This perfectly demonstrates that you don’t need to smash your driver to get a decent score.

What is your safe/most reliable club off the tee? 😊 Let me know!
Driver. Only 200 + but very high percentage fairways. I rolled one out to 250 on a dry day last week but that is rare these days.
3 wood
7w is my absolute fairway finder.
When I'm uncomfortable in my swing, I always fall back to 5 hybrid. It does not go as far, but it's straight and I never slice/hook it. From there on up the confidence ladder, it's my 2 driving iron, 3 wood and driver.
3 iron first two tees, then go to 1 iron
Like my dad always told me as a teen, stay out of trouble! Great common sense teaching about course management. I'm 65, retired and playing more golf. Learning to concentrate on flushing more shots and not worrying about distance. The better my chipping and putting becomes, the lower my scores. But course management has helped immensely.
Love it, Kurt! Thanks for your thoughts 😊
favorite straight club off the tee is my 3 hybrid. Love that club.
I used to love my 4 hybrid but stopped hitting it after changing my swing… maybe need to get it out again 🤣
Well done!
Thanks, Pat! Whats your safe club off the tee? 😊
I find using a 5 Wood off the tee to be my most consistent club. That and an 8 Iron. I had hip replacement surgery over the winter, and still have not regained my full strength. Hitting a Driver is pointless. Costs me strokes. A 5 Wood is usually longer at this stage, and in the fairway. I used shorter clubs on the course tonight. Shorter of course, but most were in the fairway. Easier time without the costly mistakes by trying to go long. Much better score.
Interesting! That’s for the detailed comment 😊 I’ve never hit a 5 wood before, might need to try one out!
Safe off the tee is def my 5i. Best odds every time
I like it! Do you use that approach often or?
@@SamKingGolf not as much lately as ive improved with driver and 3w
3 iron is safest for me 210 carry with a bit of roll
Works a treat
I slice my driver so that can stay out of the bag until I've sorted that out
Ordered a 2i
Good with irons
Rubbish with hybrids and woods 😅😂
I love that! I just ordered a 2 iron too, for the same reason 🤣
Carded two 7 today for a 92. Guys correct.
You dont need to be long to break 90 but you need to be solid and consistent. Keep it in play, avoid hazards and dont waste shots around the green. Saying all that i shot 89 yesterday, 4 putted the first green (lagged it to a foot and then 3 putted from there 😂😂😂) for triple and then had a quad after blading a bunker shot OB 😳
That’s golf 🤣
Nice strategy. Can you explain what you were doing on hole 7’s tee box, by taking your club and pounding and ruining the turf to place your ball there instead of a tee?
Thanks mate! I hit my irons too high off the tee which make me lose distance. So I just make a wee mound with my club so it’s just sitting up off the floor.
(Tip by Golf Sidekick)
Also… it’s not ruining the turf, I’m going to be making a divot there anyway so it doesn’t matter.
Oh, I see. It figures you got that tip from Matty Boom-boom 😂😂😂. He is great isn't he? ❤
Great guy!
As a high handicap golfer... hitting a 4 iron isn't an option 😂
What’s your most reliable club off the tee? 😊 just hit that
5 wood
How far do you hit that? 😊
@@SamKingGolf 190-200
Your contact is way too consistent to represent most people who can't break 90. You would have to make monumentally stupid decisions to not break 90 with your swing.
That’s not really the point of the video! I’m trying to talk about my thought process when trying to play safe golf/bogey golf!
