Awesome!
Thanks!
From your video seems like you have the Dragon gen1? With your setup what kind of distances are able to achieve? Thanks for posting!
Yes, this is the Dragon 1. And for distance, it depends on what I'm throwing. Most 2-5 gram lures, I can get 10-15+ yards. I was able to toss 7 gram Acme Kasmaster aprox 30 yards.
@@ReelFrontier Thanks for quick reply! I have Dragon 2 cuz I couldn't find a Dragon 1. I throw about the same weights and primarily use an Abu Garcia UltraCast BF8 with Varivas PE 0.6 and 4# mono leader. Wasn't sure If I should try and find a Dragon 1 or find another 2 piece stick. Thanks for sharing your set up and your data. Thanks for posting and keep them coming! "Fish'em Light & Tight"
Nice set up. How are you liking the Dragon II? I was thinking about picking one up because it's rated as a " Fast" action now, and I'm curious to see how it differs from the Dragon 1.
@@ReelFrontier I like the Dragon II. Unfortunately I don't have anything to compare it to other than my Old 18 7" ultra light. I mainly throw micro finesse soft plastics and on occasion top water hard baits. I have no problem picking up slack and getting a good hook set. Seems to have a nice taper all the way down to the ferrel. My last fish I caught got air a couple of times and the Dragon II did a good job keeping the fish buttoned and didn't spit the hook.
