Basically anything rubber / plastic will require attention. But this is one of those cars where if you keep maintaining it, it will last for a very long time. I'd say it's only worth it if you're a big fan of the car. Other than that, the engine and transmission are very solid and reliable no matter how much you beat on it
I bought one for $9k about 2 years ago. Have spent a good chunk on maintenance and refinishing the OEM wheels, new tires, but every time I drive it, I’m reminded it’s worth it. But I wouldn’t want to own it if I was really tight on cash all the time. If you’re good with budgeting and have some spare cash after purchase, and some tools, you’ll be happy.

no alternator / water pump without that belt too. Would overheat and battery would die within 5-10min or so. Had this same thing happen on my other c55 lol

@@whotfismishaidler pulley is a weak point. Unfortunately replacements are not always good. Been through 3 in 4 years on mine. Luckily cheap to replace. Almost worth doing every year

if you were about 10-20 minutes from home its still drivable to get it home, you just wouldn't have had power steering

@@zactormak any exhaust shop can do it. Just ask for a muffler and resonator delete. They replace it with regular straight pipes
when your belt shred like that thats not good at all for the engine
its fine. idler pulley is 20 years old and the plastic snapped
