    umm i think your forgetting you broke it pretty bad Rueben and had to rebuild your front end

    I love the sound of the Y62 and how good it looks and also how it goes in the bush

    What I love is that you're not afraid to drive it hard. Sure you broke the front end but you weren't going to die wondering. You just pointed it up that hill and buried the accelerator pedal.

      i think all of us would drive it like that or harder if we had the cash to just fix it like that + all the sponsors to help out ..

    These new patrols are a weapon even when stock. 300kw/560nm stock. I mean I know that's not at the wheels like the figure you get at a dyno, but still there's been many stock commodore and falcon V8's with less power then that. Never thought I would see the day where you would pick a Nissan over a Toyota 200 or 300.

    • @Jwalker76

      @@brentonsmith4077 yeah most the content I've seen of the 300s are basically brand new vehicles and they hav'nt been driven enough or never driven off-road to know what goes wrong with them. The fact Reben is driving the Y62 instead of the 300 which he has both cars says something.

      @@Jwalker76 I own a prado Kakadu the prado inside is the same size as the 300, the thing that used to set apart the 200 was the size and the V8 it’s the 300 has lost both. I don’t see if lasting long in the market with American utes here.

      @@brentonsmith4077 Prado is a top rig. I did see a clip of some mechanics looking over a new 300 and they weren't impressed with the design. Think they had a plastic catch can under the car where you would normally have a spare wheel, and one mechanic said that is going to have a run in with a rock for sure where its placed.

    You Australians need to have warehouses in the USA for the awesome accessories you have for the Y62. We don't get the proper Patrol Y62 (Armada in the USA), but I'm betting there's a market for all the off-road accessories here.

    Point it anywhere and watch stuff break. Seems like now days its all about who has more kws and bigger tyres. Just remember any given track anywhere in Oz has been driven by 4wds that have 80kw and 31” tyres.

    Great reviews Reuben, thinking of going from my LC 200 to a Y62 and as i tow a 3.5T van do you recommend a GVM upgrade and I dont know what is a 450 extension you talk about ie what does that involve and cost

    • @dirtymuddyweekends
      @dirtymuddyweekends  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, absolutely. The 450mm is for the chassis extension. Usually preferred if a customer wants a longer tray. There are options and variations that are best discussed directly to you. Please contact DMW office if you would like to run through your build. We’ll get one of the team to assist you. Thanks.

    Have broken a few rear cvs now , but yes top wagon...makes you wonder if the early y62s with solid rear diff would be a better option?

    • @ianweal3081
      @ianweal3081 ปีที่แล้ว

      When did the Y62 have a solid rear axle?
      Answer, NEVER.
      Been all round 4 wheel independent from its release date in 2013.
      Was totally bagged out by journalist initially but now it's loved, amazing how technology has been bagged out initially and loved once proven.
      I'm old enough to recall Toyota being bagged out releasing the 80 series with 4 X coils, (oh yes it was, gone soft, not ridgid enough) now considered one of the best models produced. Again, time proved journalist wrong.
      All round independent with state of the art Traction Control will out drive old standard old solid axles every day. (Standard back then didn't include diff locks, just sketchy rear LSD, which Toyota produced very poorly).
