I have watched most videos of these two. I saw the little one start fighting the bigger one each time. Finally, the bigger one said "I had it" and now he will finish the fight.
@@ahmamun8705 Surprisingly, these 2 were only born a couple/few days apart. There was a food shortage this year hence the severe aggression. (Well, Booted Eagles are extremely sensitive about resources. Moreso than the Bald Eagle even). The littlest Eaglet didn’t get fed as much as the eldest hence the aggressive behavior towards the eldest constantly. Either the eldest got annoyed by the younger ones antics of always attacking her or the eldest sensed (and felt) the lack of food being brought to the nest, so instinctually, the eldest was eliminating her competition for said resources.

The viewer cannot see the far side of the nest where the younger eaglet went, assuming it went off the edge of the nest to get away from the firstborn.

Seriously? These live cams are in place to give us a rare opportunity to take a peek into their world and to learn about them. Not for rescue mission purposes. When watching these live cams, YOU take on and accept the responsibility of knowing that what you’re going to see is not always going to be favorable. Aggression in a Birds of Prey nest should be expected and not a surprise. This is an aggressive species…. Especially when there’s a shortage of food. Not all that hatch are going to survive. That’s common knowledge about any wild birds nest.

Nope, there wasn’t. It’s nature but sad to see too! These birds are absolutely stunning, IMO.

I guess birds are not as smart as dogs, momma dog would have put a stop to that. I also think momma eagle is not bringing a lot food to the nest.
