Nice job. I’m wondering if you kept the old cord. There was really no reason to replace the cord. You could have bought a new cord cap plug. Hopefully you kept the cord. You can buy a cord cap plug and cord cap receptacle, put them on your old cord and have an extension cord if you need it while camping. Best wishes, Kevin
It’s tough finding a cap plug that will fit into storage compartment. The smallest 30 amp cap plug I found to fit in was with pig tail but the butt connectors I used to connect conductors pulled apart despite the jacketing I put over the connectors.
Find where your plug goes into the RV on the outside. On the inside of your trailer, you most likely have a cabinet or storage area where you'll see the junction box

I ran into the same issue. Nothing fits back in that little door.

Why didn’t I think of that? I bet the guy I gave it to did just that.
Those Camco replacement ends are crap, they don’t fit tight enough in the receptacle.IMO
