      The swamp cabbage
Toxic to Human Beings. Sagopalms are spiky plants that aretoxic when eaten. All parts of the plant are toxic, including the thorns. The seeds, rather than the thorns, are the most dangerousparts.

I wanted to thank you for this video , I never thought id be using this skill i leaned in this video , but when Hurricane Michael Hit us in Callaway and Mexico Beach all I could think is how are all of us going to eat till the national guard reaches us . With trees all down on the roads and no power we went out to the woods behind our house and found some palms , still standing I add ( the only thing standing it seems) took it back and prepared it people were suprised at what it was they were eating ! but they like it , so THANK YOU FOR THIS (VERY POSSIBLE) life saving video for us ! we will rebuild ! #850Strong

Aye R Wit Da AR It's not up to him to put ads in the videos. That's YT's call. When they do, he makes a small portion from AdSense. He's got enough followers that he's probably doing ok with AdSense. Not to mention he's sponsored by Engel Coolers, Outdoor Republic and Silver Stag Knives. All that being said, the passion he has while making these videos clearly shows that money is not his priority.

Rob, every time I watch your videos I’m just tickled to death that someone enjoys life as much as you do. I watch what you cook and it makes me hungry every time. Love every single video that you make and can’t wait for the next one after that. In Oregon there isn’t much I can do at 17 and living in the city but buy me some Everglades and whip somthin up and watch your videos. You’ve taught me quite a bit about cleaning catching and cooking and can’t thank you enough. Your so blessed to have the life you do and I know you are thankful for it every second of your life. Well, I’ll see you in the next one, I’m gone.

You fools just don't see the paradox, in that it takes much more strength to be your true self and show the soft side of a real man, than to act all tough for the people, that's fear.
I used to love a fight and have the knocked out teeth, bent crooked nose and knife scars on my chest and back to prove that I've never backed down from anyone, but there is something inside me that makes little babies and kids and dogs come right over to me and for some reason love me straight out, I believe they trust me because I'm real and full of love.
I can't tell you in words, how good that makes me feel in my heart.

Enough swamp cabbage to build a hut. Here in the Phillipines, its our national leaf. It's called Anahaw. Its leaves are ideal for the roof and its tree is ideal for posts, which if you're lucky, will stand for as long as 10 years. And of course the heart part is awesome, kinda like the coconut.

Years ago, when my Uncle Henry was alive we used to have our family reunions on his ranch. One of the things we HAD to have is Swamp Cabbage. We made about 50 gallons in a huge iron kettle with whole onions, garlic, hard smoked pork.
There was only one rule: Everything in that pot had to be grown, harvested, and prepared by family.
    It was a wonderful time.

@@Mrbfgray right about that. There's some kind of illness that afflicts people nowadays in the city: it's one where they have an aversion to anything that doesn't come from a store.
