I think the Broncos have been getting severely underestimated, having played three of the top four defences in the NFL through week 4 with a rookie under center. The Broncos themselves have the 2nd overall defence in the league. Sure the Broncos have struggled against the Steelers, Seahawks and Jets offensively, but they have only allowed 4 sacks, and these have been close games. Meanwhile the Broncos D has been suffocating, just a brutal pay for every yard type of unit. I think th Broncos might be better than people are thinking because they have struggled against the top defences the league has to offer, and the one game they played against a middling defence they blew out TB.
Give lots of credit to Denver, they came to play while the Jets showed no urgency, acting like the win was already in the bag. The wins over two weak team was over blown as usual, the Jets have the talent but didn’t show up.
Defenses are playing safeties deep against Jets , its hard to throw for 300 yds unless they get a couple big plays. Mahomes hasn’t thrown for 300 yds either this season
@@seanscott4848 I’d argue any time an offense doesn’t score a single TD in 60mins you can blame the QB. That said, the Broncos’ D is easily playing Top-3 defense in the league right now. That + weather is a tough ask for any offense.
I’d also argue receivers dropping balls and running the wrong route on crucial plays and oline getting penalties is more of the problem than the QB and the QB seemed like one of the only ones who was trying to win , had more rushing yards than the RB and oline got bullied and had Rodgers running for his life , I’m suprised he even got over 200 yards
I don’t agree that the Jets D played well. Yes, they allowed few points but Nix helped them out big time by throwing uncatchable balls. In the second half the Broncos ran at will and shredded them. That we are out coached in just about every game seems to be a common theme, something we as fans almost, sadly, have come to expect.
The Denver NY game was a defensive game. Both units played well. Rodgers was hit 14 times and sacked 5. Denver's D has sack the QB 13 times in the last two gams and is ranked third in the NFL in overall D. I wouldn't want to play these guys right now.
Denver has a top 5 defense, and they're probably higher after the Jets game. Everyone dismisses them because they have a rookie QB, but he's a rookie that doesn't turn the ball over much or get sacked, and he's good at managing the offense. He makes a few mistakes, but not many. He's also made some great throws and reads, and he's learning and getting better. The Broncos have very good receivers, a strong O line, a really good run game, and with one of the best defenses in the NFL, teams have to be out of their fk'n minds to overlook them. Denver isn't going to the SB this season, but they will ruin a lot of sundays for a lot of teams this year.
Im not sure what Chris simms is talking about , Rodgers threw the ball down the field plenty in this game , they just didn’t connect on any throws today. Rodgers didn’t have a lot of time today to go through reads down the field. Simms wants Rodgers to throw the ball into coverage lol
@@christopherwilliams2351 He said he missed throws yesterday , he was also on the same page with his recievers at that time in Green Bay , we can’t expect him to play like he did 10 yrs ago
he threw 42 times in a heavy rain game (first half was nearly impossible to throw for both teams), thats a terrible game plan, wasnt like they didn't have the lead either, was a Hackett special
The Patriots are bad and Broncos are not much better and they are going to be underdogs the next 3 games. The Jets have a weaker AFC than expected and the 7th wildcard and road wildcard loss is possible even at 2-5, Rogers was not worth the desperation trade. Flaco play the next 3 the Colts could be a surprise 5-2, they will be well behind them. Miami, Jacksonville, Cleveland are not playoff teams, the whole bottom of the West may have a single 9 win wildcard team. Colts and Bengals may struggle to get to 10 wins. I give them 5 more win though they could be 4-1 in those games, and they are even to underdog with the rest of the teams.
The running QB is good for keeping a less talented team afloat, but the way I see it is that team won’t win anything anyways The pinnacle of NFL offense is still the great pocket passer surrounded by good players That will beat the running QB every time no matter what you surround him with, but you guys are already too brainwashed to remember QBs like Manning and Brees. Those statues distributing to playmakers >>>> Lamar running around
@@stratostatic can’t say I’m an expert, but I can say Chris Simms is not. He doesn’t understand the nuance of the game. It showed in his play and it shows in his current analysis
Nix will prove to be a sub-average quarterback. 95% of his throws are screens and short outs. Once defenses figure this out...watch the pick 6's come...
Right now he does look sub average but id also argue the Broncos have 1 weapon in Sutton and then a bag of marbles for the rest of the offense. Not the same scenario some other rookie qbs are in.

The Jets got bailed out by the refs when they killed the fumble and still lost the game. 26 consecutive games by Rodgers without 300 passing yds...

Why did Ulbrich never blitz against an inexperienced rookie Qb.? You’re right, Jets lack creativity on both sides of the ball.
