This is my message for those shot in Paris on 11-13; we are with you always; your deaths have not, and will not, gone in vain. Peaceful people with loving hearts always care about each other. If a person has no kind regard for the feelings of another... then they isolate themselves and that is the real tragedy. God walks beside the peacemakers.
My workmate Roy Hamilton was a victim at the Hillsborough disaster. He was a true Liverpool supporter, and this song always reminds me of the good times we had together before that fateful day. You'll never be forgotten Roy! Tony Cook.
When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, and don't be afraid of the dark ; at the end of the storm there is a golden sky and the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone.
when I listen to this it brings to mind the last scene in carousel, and I always want to cry, this song is so inspiring, as it says to keep going no matter how bad things get and don,t give up, and god will always be walking with you
No matter who sings this - whether it be LFC fans or who ever, I always get the biggest lump in my throat and tear up. Liverpool through and through, YNWA x
a voz de CARMEN MONARCHA dá o equilíbrio e profundidade às vozes das sopranos MIRUSIA e CARLA......nossa paraense é maravilhosa...sou fã dela há anos..me arrepio com o timbre vocal de Carmen
Hi David: I think this song is beautiful no matter how it's done. Sung by a soloist as I am or a in group. We all go through terribly heart breaking episodes in our lives therefore it's the words that touch the heart so deeply to all who hear this song. Andre Rieu has an extremely large group in his orchestra as you see, therefore it has to be powerful when thousands are in the audience listening. That's why they attend his concerts. They expect ' spectacular.' I'd love to go see him! God bless U
Just shows how powerful this song is .im a Liverpool fan and it sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it ..just watch the crowd and their reactions to it ..there is so much love and history to this club ..hopefully we comin back to winning ways ...just shows you how big LFC are ..bet you won't hear this orchestra doing any other premier league songs ..was nice to hear ..done me proud
May the Lord walk beside you to comfort you. May the Lord walk above you to watch over you. May the Lord walk behind you to keep you safe. May the Lord walk before you to show you the way.
Hola. Amigos y (as) .
I am glad to say: "This is not true!" Black people in Africa LOVE European classical music. I have seen a concert by and for black people in the D.R. of Congo of the 9th symphony of Beethoven. There was this opera group of young blacks in Soweto that imitated the Three Tenors. And young blacks in South Africa who were interviewed about their love for classical music and opera. Strangely enough, classical music is SO universal, that it is loved from Capetown to Bagdad to Peking and Tokyo.
just a difference of opinion that is all, when it comes down to it whoever performs it the words are all that matter to any of us.we all have to have hope in our hearts.
Actually in Holland YNWA is more famous as the anthem of Feyenoord. In 2007 Liverpool played a friendly match in Rotterdam and the whole stadium joined. One chilling moment!
MAGISTRAL, Q/MUSICA CELESTIAL, ANDRE RIEU, EL DIRECTOR +GRANDE, MAS INSPIRADO, CON SU ORQUESTA JS, Y SUS SOPRANOS Y TENORES, TAN FABULOSOS, Y SU MAGICO VIOLIN, PARA EMOCIONARNOS TANTO Q/VIBRE TODO NUESTRO SER !!!!ANDRE!!!!!BRAVO!!!!!!!!
From the musical 'Carrossel", 1956, by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, the same from "The Sound of Music".This is one of the most beautiful song ever written. Da mesma dup´la de "A Noviça Rebelde" esta música é absolutamente linda.
I think that people either genuinely don't know the history of music or just like to try and stir to get a reaction. I watched this musical umpteen times too as I was growing up. Shirley sang the first few bars then broke down before her stage cousin took over. I too am a singer :)
Your point is well taken. I saw the Congo concert on television, possibly PBS. I was amazed...the music was good and the classical musicians talented. This, despite the trying circumstances of living in central Africa. I should have said, "...American black and brown people...etc." Gangs, drugs and basketball have led black people to rancid rap and hip/hop noise. Browns. well, they're Mexicans or Central Americans and like that kind of music. Rieu was recently in LA. No blacks or browns.
It is sometimes hard not to generalize, but I got your point too. With a few exceptions - there were some good Afro-American opera singers in Europe - the American blacks don't care much for classical music. But again: Last year I saw two very good black singers in the Opera of San Jose (Cal.). I can't remember seeing Afro-Americans in the audience though... But in Brazil and Africa this is totally different!

Ontroerd door de muziek maar ook door het zien van een dierbare vriendin uit een hele moeilijke periode in mijn leven. Vergeten doe ik haar nooit!

Noch mehr musikalische Musik gibt wahrscheinlich im Himmel.

I was just going to say this too! Shirley Jones sang it! I remember it as if it was yesterday! So bitter sweet! Lovely!
