This is another wellness check that is disturbing towards First Nations women. The RCMP need to be accountable for losing their composure towards First Nations women. Beaten and charged when calling for help. Get those officers some PAID leave and don't fire them, don't defund police to make way for less violent wellness responders either. This system plainly works 😰 the other month when officers escalated an Ontario liquor robbery into a car chase, killing vacationing grandparents. Can't wait to hear that Gillis was a threat, like Chantel Moore💐
Also there's that Mississippi mass grave behind a prison, dug by prisoners and used by municipal police. Still waiting for more news on that. TOTALLY not a sigh of a wide spread policing problem...

Every time I have called for police assistance they ended up turning everything against me instead (I have a troubled daughter and had a home robbery by her and another time trying to get her stuff from a place she was evicted from and before all this when she was sexually assaulted when she was 13, they never arrested the guy, instead they blamed her). I will never call police for assistance again. They never help calm a situation they actually cause more problems than they solve.

If a man needs to be TRAINED not to punch a woman’s face in, he’s a psychopath and should not be a police officer. That mother asked a question. She was clearly no threat to anybody. From the sounds off it, the cops were taunting the girl having the mental health crisis, maybe getting ready to beat her too, but Mom gave them the pretext they needed, apparently simply by pleading with them not to escalate the situation, so they beat her face in instead. Every single time the police get caught brutalizing poor people, black people and First Nations people or taking young guys to Cherry Beach in Toronto to beat them senseless, there is ALWAYS somebody like you who think they just need more “training.”

Now when I call I make sure the a female and male officer comes to assess. I also request passionate and understanding officer. I received nothing but the most positive response and respect when I request this. Please request this people when calling police through wellness checks. For when it turns ugly and misconduct on police behalf they need to be held responsible for their actions on sensitive matters and issues. The charges against the victim are for Bargaining. If she withdraws her complaint, the prosecutor will ‘allow’ her to take a Plea Deal. It can be for any minor offence, as long as she accepts a Guilty Plea, which will be used to exonerate the cops actions.
This is an issue too often overlooked. Yes the cops cannot be trusted, but the Crown Attorneys are no better. CAs routinely ignore the abuse by cops, even going as far as to continue with fabricated charges against a victim. Goal is to criminalize the victim, taking away the victim’s credibility in the eyes of the courts.
Which to me is Malicious Prosecution!

We keep seing this add on TH-cam saying that an increasing number of RCMP officers are being treated for PTSD and obviously their training and behavior shows they are inapt in helping the people.
