Hi Denise! I’m in love😘. Beautiful blanket & this is going on my list of ones I want to make for sure🥰. If I may just point out a little boo-boo for those that might get confused ( I mean no offense, u know me better😉 ) when u did row 4 the on screen directions say *ew2, p1 & u also say it, but when ur looming it u do it correctly ( p1, ew2 ), it’s also correct when u show the pattern repeats. I hope I don’t offend anyone by me mentioning it, I just wanted to be helpful in case anyone gets confused. Love hugs blessings & prayers, Donna💗🙏🥰
WOW Donna !!! YES - you are correct. Thank YOU Thank YOU Thank YOU soooooo much
@@LoomaHat ur so welcome💗🥰🙏. I love u girl & this blanket is gorgeous & like I said it’s on my list😍.
I really want this loom. I make my own yarn 🧶 on my spinning wheel and this pattern is perfect for my chunky yarn 😊
Wonderful!!! 💛
Do you sale yarn? Or take request in style and color of yarns? ❤
Wonderful pattern and wonderfully explained! Thank you! I’m looming this blanket right now. Can’t wait to get finished.
Thank you i just got my first infinity look so excited to make this. ❤
I am so grateful for you! Your explanation, your visuals, etc. I’m excited to loom knit this blanket. Thanks.
You are so welcome! 🙂
I am going to do this as soon as I get my current project off my S-loom. It is taking way longer than I thought..lol..This is beautiful!!!
Fabulous 🎉. I’ve been waiting for this blanket
Thank YOU Adrienne !!
Happy Tuesday morning Denise 🌞 wow a new loom and new project. That's awesome 🙂 that blanket is gorgeous Sister. I love that pattern, of course you know I'm going to have to buy it 🤣😂. Denise you're acreal "GEM"💎. Thank you for sharing ☺️ have a wonderful day. Peace 🕊️ Love ❤️ and Blessings 🙏🏾
Oh my goodness absolutely stunning. Thank you so much. 💓
Thank you so soOoooooOOooo much! 💛💛💛
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
I love this! Looks like I’m going to add to my loom collection!
Go for it! 💛
This is beautiful. I may just have to breakout my infinity loom and make this.
I ordered a couple sets of the Flexee loom chunky for this project instead of the s loom. This is the first time I've made a blanket, so I'm really excited!
You got this my friend 💛😊🌼👍🏽💫
13:44. It’s also helps to gently pull your work so that the rows are set and you get a better idea of the length.
This was great, Denise!!!
Thank YOU 😊
This is great. Thank you. I might try this on a straight loom when I have the yarn!
Will totally work. 🙂
@@LoomaHat that's great. Thank you 👍
muy bien explicado , me gusto mucho
this a gorgeous project! you keep coming out with them faster than i can make them 😅
Thank YOU for a dose of the giggles !!! 😆
Sometimes i see your videos and think: this is it! I'm going to break out my looms, again, for this. Lol
The tweedy hometown looks lovely for this blanket but i know what my early loomed hats - made with hometown - look like now so i would be afraid it would get murdered. Ha.
Honestly, though, i just like listening to and watching you loom. It helps me forget how little yarn time I've had lately. :/
P.s. true story - i have this exact loom. I started to use it, one time. Worked about three or four rows of a pink baby blanket, approx 9 years ago. And that thing is still sitting on that loom, literally collecting dust.
I need to make some decisions. Lol
Although I'm determined that THIS is the year to work on all of my UFOs!
I don't use hometown anymore because of how it looks after I wash and dry. It always looked bad even if I washed and dried it in a garment bag!
@Jessd85 same. Hubby and I have some hats and scarves that I made, 8-10 years ago, with it. But I don't use it these days.
How many balls of yarn do I need to buy to make big blanket like yours? I so love how you did this. ❤️
Beautiful blanket! Thank you so much 😊
Is it possible to change the colour in this pattern without dashes?
Beautiful! Some of that bulky yarn really can be a pain! Could one still do this with two strands of #4? Thank you very much for your videos. They are always real clear and concise!
Yes, the yarn can be painful but using two strands of #4 will not give you the same soft feel of the bulky yarn, the size or the exact look. If you have to use #4 make sure that it's something like Caron Super Soft to make it more compitable.
I love this tutorial, thank you so much. I love all your tutorials and thanks to them I learned how to loom knit! ❤❤❤ which bulky yarn are you using please? Thanks. I have this loom and Ive been meaning to use it but its been scary but this video is so helpful and the stitch so pretty that I will definitely try it!! 😊
Hi, I used the Lion Brand Hometown. It is super soft and not too expensive. By the way, the loom is a bit awkward at first. Stay with it - the more you use it, the easier it gets. I went from hating it to loving it - worth the initial pain.
@@LoomaHat oh great to know thank you. I have the big white one which looks thicker and heavier. I like that yarn, I have some of it but not enough to make a blanket. Are you ok sharing how many skeins/ how much yardage you used please? (My rough estimate was maybe 1500 to 2000 yards or more but I know that depends on the stitch and yarn.) Thanks.
that's an awesome project, I was wondering hos long it took to make and where can I get that loom, thank you so much for sharing
How long? It's very difficult for me to say. Knitters knit differently. This was my first time using that loom. It took time to get used to it. A bit awkward at first. I was also, designing this and other projects while I worked. My best suggestion is to give yourself at least one month. About the loom - you can get an S loom for a decent price on Amazon amzn.to/3SsW2QH
Cant see slip stitch demo the yellow sign with pig blocking screen🎉
Hi Denise, I am new to your channel I love your video they are easy to follow and understand. I am also new to loom knitting; how long did it take you to make this blanket on the infinity loom?
You are so welcome! I believe it took me about 3 months but I usually have to work on smaller patterns while I knit large projects.
This pattern is amazing! I definitely want to make it, but my S loom has removable pegs that won't stay in that well (didn't have this problem with my rectangular looms so I didn't think much of the removable pegs at first when buying) so I was wondering if I should try to glue them or not before making anything on it
I used to be really against gluing pegs but not so much any more and with the S loom I would say BiG Time YES glue them in.
@@LoomaHat Thank you! I'll make sure to glue the pegs before using the loom!
Ohhhh my! This looks divine. Many years ago I made a couple crocheted afghans. 🤔maybe I can make this. How long would you say it takes to complete?
Thank you, Looma Denise! ❤
It's very difficult for me to say. Knitters knit differently. This was my first time using that loom. It took time to get used to it. A bit awkward at first. I was also, designing this and other projects while I worked. My best suggestion is to give yourself at least one month.
@@LoomaHattotally makes sense. Thank you for your response. I'll practice the stitch on a round loom for now
This is really nice. You've convinced me to finally buy an infinity loom! Is bulky yarn the same as chunky yarn?
Great. I’ve had mine for almost 4 years and this is my first project. It is a bit awkward at first but stick with it - it gets way better. Generally, chunky is #5 and bulky is #6.
Beautiful pattern and made with my favorite loom (for a blanket) 😁. I put my loom on a pillow on my lap and spin it around when I need to. Once you get your groove on, it's pretty easy. Sending hugs to my beautiful friend for another amazing pattern! 🥰🥰
Hello! Newbie here.. well not New New.. but I do more crochet 🧶 free hand (not using a prop like the afghan loom) but I’m great at doing table or floor looms/tapestries. But I’m new to the afghan loom.. my first go around with it.. I must of done 30 laps around that loom and was getting discouraged bc my blanket hadn’t begun to drop yet.. I kept looking online to get an answer to that question, like why hasn’t it begun to drop or hang yet. After watching your video I realized I did (E-w) around the entire loom 30+ times and neglected a Pearl stitch entirely 😑⚰️ so based off your video I need to take it off and redo 🤦🏽♀️ I also need to buy more yarn as I’ve wasted it making this grave error 😂 at least I am hoping this is why the blanket never dropped.
Very pretty. Can this pattern be done in the KB afghan loom?
It can if you're comfortable using bulky yarn with that loom.
Thanks Denise! Can I make a headband with this pattern? I wanted to do it in 8 pegs, 2 for edges and two complete sections of the pattern. Would that work?
Yes and yes - 1 edge + 2 repeats (6) + 1 edge = 8 in total. Note it will be TINY. 🙂
I use a small garter stitch to start and end my blankets. This makes it easy to find the top and bottom. Will that work with this stitch?
Yep - that will work perfectly.
Hi, I love this stitch! Is it possible to do it in the round (eliminating the edge stitches) to make an infinity scarf? Or would I just have to make a long scarf and seam it together at the end?
Just sew the ends together. Heres a video th-cam.com/video/mGBfQpd9GYI/w-d-xo.html
@@LoomaHat awesome thank you!
Where did you buy your loom? I've been looking on Amazon & reading mixed reviews concerning pegs coming out, etc. Have you had that problem with yours?
Just a quick question- I'm very knew to loom knitting, and this is the first project with an infinity loom. How do I change colors so I have a two-colored blanket? Thank you!!!
You compared some looms to make an afghans but I did not see the Flexee loom included in your video. Have you done a review on it? Reason I am asking because weight of a loom is an issue for some of us with arthritis or weakened hands, arms! Thank you
HI - I have not used the Flexee yet but I think the design is genius and should work perfectly as long as you use the one meant for bulky yarn amzn.to/4eCLhFE . There are several versions so you would need the Chunky 5/8 set. Hope that helps answer your question... Hugs, denise
What is it that you use to mark your pegs? Im a beginner and learning so much from your Loom Knitting
Tiny rubber bands - loomahat.store/collections/stitch-markers
Can I use a #5 bulky yarn
As always I love your patterns and tutorials. I might give this a try for a smaller size baby blanket. I just wanted to make sure, I think your graphic for row 4 is different than what you are doing. You say at first and the graphic says 2ew, 1p, but you are showing 1p, 2 ew. The graphic fro 5-8, 9-12, 13-16 shows the p1, ew2. Just wanted to verify. Thx.
Yes - that's an error. Sorry about that. Row 4 is, p1, eW2
Can you show me how to loom knit a tie for men? ❤
Typing this in the interlude so please forgive me if you answer later. What does the modification accomplish for the bind-off?
If you don't modify - the bind-off will be too tight and look more narrow than the cast-off.
How long did it take to make this blanket?
Denise, would this work as well with a #3 yarn?
I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you want to try, you would need a small gauge loom. Also, it would take a lifetime to knit and be a bit lacy.
TY
I am attempting this right now because I think the blanket is so beautiful. But I am a little confused. Am I only repeating 1-4 all the way through the blanket. Or am I suppose to do 1-4 for 45 rows then I do rows 5-8 for the same amount of rows as 1-4? Or do I just stick to one set rather then going through all of the repeats.
Hi Jeanne. Rows 5-8 is the same as rwos 1-4. You are knitting the same rows but 5-8 is the second set or in other words, the second "time", you're knitting those 4 rows. I recommend watching the portion of this video again th-cam.com/video/hZZkOIXg-MI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P2tXIi8TmK6iZZ4G&t=685 . Hey and consider purchasing the written pattern if you can. It helps both you and I.
So on row 4, is it ewrap 2, purl1?
Or is it purl 1,ewrap 2 ?
It’s purl 1, eWarp 2
@@LoomaHat thank you
I just started this today!
Why do you weave in the ends of the yarn instead of cutting off the yarn?
Hi, why the new bind off? Thnx
Because the stitch pattern needs more stretch then you normally get with the basic bind off . I would have loved to have done a super stretchy but with that size loom it would be very difficult.
How many balls of yarn does it take to make a blanket? ❤
Hi. Balls and Skeins of yarn comes in different sizes and lengths and different pattern need different amounts and so I can't answer that questions. I used 1360 yards of Bulky #6 yarn for this blanket. I hope that answer helps you some.
@@LoomaHat Ah, very little but thank you for message me back, I appreciate it. 😊
@@LoomaHat Can you make a video on making men ties 👔 😊
What are the dimensions of the blanket?
So beautiful! I make my blankets with the garter stitch, it takes a long time but it makes for an amazing blanket. I just finished a garter stitch blanket that’s 8 feet long and 5 feet wide. Rainbow (ROY G BIV) 🌈
I went to buy yarn and it’s costing about $70 for 1350 yards of yarn. I m wondering how people are buying yarn. A $70 blanket seems a lot. This yarn was 25% off and I checked Amazon too.
@@navneetsidhu9103 if you have a Joann’s fabric in your town/city, have them email you some coupons. I use a 50% off coupon and then I also only buy the yarn when it’s really on sale. Sometimes they have buy one get two free, that’s when I use my coupon and get ALL of my yarn for all of my projects. It’s a lot of money but you get a lot of yarn, I know I’m gonna use it all eventually so you’re gonna have to start with something small and see if you even like knitting because it’s not for everyone
Step 5 I don't understand?

I'm stuck and need help
I’m sorry but I’m a beginner and your confusing me so much, i just want to learn how to set it up but your way ahead of me. Bye
Kim, you might want to start with either smaller projects or ones with only one single stitch through out the pattern.
So instead of taking it out on the video creator, and sounding flippant about it, maybe ask some specific questions or ask for suggestions on where to find the info you need.
We were all beginners at one time. But not every video or project is appropriate for beginners. Nor should they be. Some day, if you keep at it, overly simple videos will be boring to you because they are geared for beginners.
Your comment comes across as accusatory, as though it is Denise's fault that you can't follow it.
You'll catch more flies with honey. How you approach seeking help from others will impact the quality of help you receive, which will in turn impact how well you are taught.
If you are a true beginner, get acquainted with the process and the basic stitches before tackling a big project.
The bonus is: the more you know before trying this, the better you'll be able to ask for help if you still need it.
But, to that end, Denise has other, very beginner- friendly, projects. But start by watching videos on the basic stitches.
