    The battery life isn't an issue for the person who is going to buy this phone. The reason we want a small phone is because we don't use our phones like crazy and aren't on them all the time. The 13 mini is small enough that it isn't annoying to carry in a pocket like the vast majority of phones today are.

    Had my 13 mini less than a year, battery health is 95%, daily usage, on heavy use I will charge but usually lasts all day. Love the size, the iOS 16 update, features are fine by me. The battery health concerns me slightly though.

    I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
    Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
    It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.

    Great video. I got mine recently and I love it. I was actually holding out to see if they would do a 14 mini because I was due an upgrade at release. They didn’t, so I just went with the 13, and don’t regret it. I’m 36, but have arthritis in my hands which developed over the past 2 years. My Samsung S20 was too big and heavy, but this mini series is perfect for folks like me. I hope they consider doing a release every few years, but I guess we never really know what Apple will do 😬

      Go for it! I came up from an SE 1st gen & when I turn it back on I notice right away all that screen real estate that I've been losing all these years! Battery is much nicer. SE was on 83% and consumed roughtly 30% from watching a 45min YT video. Would be lucky to get 2 1/2hrs of video playback before she kicked the bucket. 13 mini is awesome & if you get a battery case she'll last you nearly 4 days if you're light user like me.

    My battery health was for 5 moths 100%. I am heavy social media user. For the past 3 months without changing my usage I started noticing mostly after charging to 100% which I always avoid it would drop 1% health. Currently just dropped to 94%. Initially thought I can have it at 100% health since I cycle the battery between 20-30% and unplug at 80-90%

    great vid, also not sure why someone said the sound quality is awful, I thought it was great. Bought the 13 mini myself last week. Love the phone. I saw a little chip on the camera ring on the back of your iPhone, other than that looks pristine.

      same can get 2-3days with light usage before charge. Typically 2 days as I try not to go below that 20%. Noticed I lose roughtly 1% for every 6-7mins for calling somebody & 9-12% for every hr of video playback with medium brightness & 80-85% volume used. • @xnajx

    I got my 13 mini when it came out. It's the longest I've had a phone in the current age of new models every year. I know for Apple that the mini didn't sell very well, but I see so many TH-camrs saying they returned the max for the mini and how much more they like it, or just general praise for the mini over other models.
    It's a massive shame that Apple doesn't plan another mini. My dream is that they bring out a new design for the SE and it's just a rebranded mini.
    My mini's battery capacity is at 88% which isn't ideal but I love the form factor so much, and general great experience from one handed use.

  • @JRSRLN
    @JRSRLN ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I bought it and had it for a week. I went back in store and replaced with the regular 13. I didn’t like that battery life. The low power mode didn’t really help at all, if anything, it adds on 30 seconds - 1 minute for every 1 percent drain.
    So yeah, I don’t recommend it for the regular to heavy users. But if you like the small size and you’re just a low to regular user, then yeah get this phone.

  • @michaeltorres2377

    I'm trying the 15 and it's great, but I'm probably going to return it and go back to my 13 mini for its pocket ability (size) and weight. The mini is such a perfect size phone if you carry it in your front pocket. I hope Apple will bring it back soon in an updated version. I've never had any battery issues. Your photos look amazing! Do you use any photo apps, or are they straight out of camera?

      I've been debating on 13 mini or XS. Size was a major selling point. Tried the XR, didn't like the finger gymnastics I had. XS was nice, but a tad big for me. Sweet spot is mini, coming from a 2016 SE this should be no surprise for me. Took me awhile to make the jump as I was being frugal, but then reminded myself I kept my SE from 2017-now. Plan on keeping the mini till sometime 2027 or so when it loses support.

    Hi Chuen, great video! I have two quick questions if you don't mind..
    What storage option do you have on the mini?

    I have 12 mini for 2 years and battery life has become a huge problem. I'm considering changing it to 13 mini but i really worry about the battery life. My 12 mini accumulator dropped to 86%. And now I need to charge it twice a day (I use SNS, scroll Instagram but no games or TH-cam).Also after the iOS upgrate to 16.5 the battery life has become awful and my phone gets hot really fast evenif I just scroll socialmedia. I wonder will the story repeat with 13 mini? Will it's battery drop the same way? I need light and small device since I have some problems with wrists. What would you recommend -13 mini or 13 base model?

      @JRSRLN ปีที่แล้ว

      My advice is to try out the base 13 model out in store - get a proper feel for it. I was like you when I bought the 13 mini, my initial reaction was it’s small size. I was amazed on how comfortable it was, felt like I didn’t needed a case for since it was small enough to feel protected and secure in my hands.
      But that battery life isn’t want you’d call “long enough” in today’s smartphones’ standards. It won’t last you a day of regular to heavy use. I changed all the settings from turning off the iCloud to deleting all the unwanted applications, it didn’t really help. It was still chugging battery. Low power mode wasn’t much help either…
      My recommendation is the regular 13 but try it out in store first and get a feel for it. That Mini just doesn’t cut it in my books, even if it is the most comfortable smartphone I’ve ever held, it just doesn’t justify that battery life.

      Also, the regular iPhone 13 lasts me 15 - 17 hours with 7 - 9 hours of screen on time, whilst the 13 Mini lasts me a fraction: around 7 - 8 hours with ~4 hours of screen on time (both phones with socials, games, video streaming and Spotify).

    regular phones are so large that they don't even fit completely inside my back pocket, and will often slide out and hit the ground when I get out of my car.
    the mini does not do that

      I went from the 14 pro max to the 11 pro. Key word, pro.
      Size reasons, the 5.8 is perfect.
      Only missing is 5g, iso-motion, 120hz and the pill. Camera better too on the 14 pro max, but screen resolution etc are the same and oh battery life is better.

    The fact is iphone13 mini (brand new set) screen time is hardly 2 to 2.5 hr , after that ur battery level is below 20%. Meaning post few hr of google map and camera uses, it sucks. iPhone is pathetic always when it comes to battery power.
