Morning Race to Work on my 1995 Honda Helix

This moped goes everywhere and anywhere in any types of weather.
It was unbelievable weather at the end of February here in Wisconsin. Woke up one morning to 41 degrees and sunny. Hopped on the moped. Starts first try! Boy Oh Boy is this thing fun to cruise to work on. The commute is short and simple. 2.6 miles. I can do it in 5 minutes on a good day.

The Cadillac of Scooters! I've heard nothing but good things about the Helix. Just saw a mint condition red one with chrome trim cruising around the other day, riding 2 up. Absolutely beautiful.

Right. The helix is a scooter. Mopeds (motorcycles with pedals) have pedals for use in case of emergency. Scooters have a step-through frame. A motorcycle is a two wheeled vehicle whichis powered by a motor but has no pedals and does not have a step through frame. There is no limit to the size engine a scoter can have.

I've always loved the Helix and Elite with their angular 80's science fiction styling, I wish they were still making new ones! Also you're in Wisconsin? I grew up just outside of Stevens Point as a kid.

Looks like chin mount. To help angle the camera backwards facing a little up. It looks wrong looking at but your head is tilted angled a little down when riding so than the camera is straight. I barely if at all have clearance to close visor.

This is my chance to be a clown, at about 2:00 minutes into the video you call what your riding a "moped"... aaahhh where's the pedals. What Dale is riding is a maxi scooter... NO PEDALS... in fact the Honda Helix is the first maxi scooter that was ever produced spawning a whole gaggle of maxi scooters after that from multiple manufacturers. Even our US government gets it wrong and classifies these maxi scooters as motocycles... they are not motorcycles either. Sooo... basically ya have 3 different vehicles, mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles, which are all difference quite simply by the design of each vehicle that makes them all different from each other. Love these types of videos though!! Later man, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁
