I best part to me about switching to wood utensils is how quiet it is now when I stir in all my pots and pans. Thank for your instructions.

Awesome! I started using walrus oil furniture butter on my carved utensils, I can't say enough about the stuff!

One suggestion when using mineral oil and beeswax if you have a really dry wood. Double boil the beeswax oil mix so it's very liquid and heat the wood while the boil gets going in the oven. It will allow the wax to soake deeper into the wood. This only needs to be done with diy or restoration, though.

I'm not sure on bowls but the utensils I like hardwoods like hickory and oak. Just keep them conditioned. :)

We don't have any right now but a bees wax is what we use. I'll try to get more for next season. ;)

“Doesn’t leech toxic chemicals into your food.” Well for the typical woods made by legitimate manufacturers such as yourself, but for DYIers one should do research as to the type of wood used. There are records of Roman soldiers when they invaded Britain making spoons of yew and poisoning themselves. So yeah just be careful what you use.
