Gosh, this takes me back Roy!
I went on this in the 1970s - glad that it is still going. Great seeing it again - it is a good and fast service, but only when the weather is calm!

Enjoyed that Roy. Takes me back to 1968 when the service had first started. Huge opposition from residents because of the noise. it was worse then because they were useing the SRN6 I believe, before building their own besoke craft on the Island. British rail must have been scared of them because I went over to the Island and back on their new HM hydrofoil catamaran thing. It didn't last long.

The hovercraft is indeed a cracking experience but I prefer the ferry if I'm not driving so I can enjoy a couple of pints
