- whi.ch/renaultcaptur?... This is a new kind of car for Renault. It's based on the Clio, but has chunkier styling, extra ground clearance and more interior space.
The Captur (pronounced 'Capture') taps into the trend for supermini-sized SUVs -- a market defined by the bug-eyed Nissan Juke, which defied expectations to become a huge sales hit.
Renault has also drawn inspiration from Mini, offering a wide range of 'personalisation' options -- from bonnet stripes to air vent sleeves. Despite appearances, though, the Captur isn't available with four-wheel drive.
The engine line-up at launch comprises 90bhp 0.9-litre petrol, 120bhp 1.2 petrol and 90bhp 1.5 diesel. The more powerful petrol engine comes with a twin-clutch automatic gearbox, which is optional on the diesel from summer 2013.
Captur prices start from £12,495 for the entry-level 0.9 petrol, up to £18,895 for a fully-loaded diesel auto. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Ive drove Renaults since the Renault 19 had meganes and Lagunas and never had a days bother with them. Collecting my Captur tomorrow :D

Want a mini MPV?? Look no further. Looks great, drives well, loads of kit, plenty of room and reasonably cheap to run. What's not to love??

It's not as big as one might think. I went for a drive in it this weekend. But you can slide the seats forward, so that makes it ok.
I have experienced Duster. Engine quality of Renault is very good. Captur will hit the market for sure.
Those headlamps & the bold grille makes the car look so attractive.
Renault also have a milestone for safety, being the first maker to achieve a five star rating in the EuroNCAP crash test with the Laguna II model, and doing the same with every new model since then.

Great car don't bother looking at anything else renault have it sorted best crossover out there for the money I've road tested them all this is by far the best now i own one.

I don't know .. I get one, brand new, in rental instead of focus I wanted and I was terribly disappointed ... Mostly as I needed space of focus for suitcase and baby trolley and in captur it was either suitcase or trolley .. one had to go on front seat .. rest was uninspiring with just normal driving behaviour and lacking power (sure I got small engine but even 1.6 old focus feels like Porsche compared to it ) .. just pissed that I payed for focus sized car and get Clio with some plastic attached to it and bad MPG

Under the new desing management of Laurens van den Acker (former Mazda chief designer) they are revamping their whole range and breaking into new car segments. Renaults have factories splattered all over the world, in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. They have also withstood a tough competition in their native market here in Europe against Japanese and Korean brands.
A not hideous Nissan juke, think we have a winner here if it gets better engines and awd like the juke. I like this better than the new clio, the new clio just seems a bit odd design wise IMO.

Of course they are. Renault does not only sell cars under their own badge, they also own Rumanian Dacia and Korean Renault-Samsung and they have a long term alliance with Japanese Nissan / Infiniti of wich Renault is the main shareholder. Renault has also signed a cooperation agreement with Daimler in order to share parts and developments with Mercedes-Benz cars.
I wish that we had cool cars in the States. Cars here are mainly about power and size. Soccer moms driving Chevy Suburbans and they only have one kid and would never use all the space.
I knew Chrysler, for instance, was a major car maker long before they resumed selling cars in Europe. You seemed to ignore Renault is a major player even if they're not present in your country. That was the point of my previous comments.

Not true. Renault offers a whole range of electric vehicles starting with the little Twizzy, the Clio-sized Zoe, the mid-sized Fluence sedan and the Kangoo van.

TESLA was designed from the ground up to be electric. The cars from Renault are all based on normal car designs i.e petrol/oil body architecture. Search youtube for Elon Musk Tesla.
Tesla has shareholders from the biggest companies such as the guys from Google and Facebook.

... I can't think of an asian car not manufactured in Japan or South Korea - at least not a decent one. It's fine if you like asian cars, but your last comment doesn't contradict what I said before. I guess if you've come to love asian cars is because they are sold in the US market. It was you who contempt Renault in the first place asking if they were still in bussines and I assumed that was because they don't sell cars in the US.
Tesla can not be took as a reference... you compare a 100 thousands $ car with a merely 15 000 $ cars... Stakes are not the same, price are really not the same. Like said by UHF43, ZOE and Twizzy are ground up electric car, first of their kind. I mean affordable cars for everyone not for rich people.
Again, NOT TRUE. The Zoe, similar in size to a Clio has been developed from the ground as a full electric vehicle and it doesn't share many core parts with any other Renault car. Neither does the Twizzy, that is more a like a four-wheels bike with a roof. While the Teslas are more sporty / executive cars, Renault offers electric cars for everyday use, the smart way to replace internal combustion cars: offering a product that is suitable for the most people.

haha, Renault doesn't fare well in reliability. Try looking at ADAC and l'Autojournal warranty and roadside claims. It is 3rd out of 27 manufacturers,. Renault even beats honda in the small compact segment (Megane).

Yes is shit. And Mercedes has an alliance with Renault, the A class mounts 1.5 dci engine, next E-Class will use the 1.6 dci, they are developing a mini car Twingo/Smart 2/4 doors and a next gen common plattform. Shit, but when Mercedes was looking for a industrial partner, they choose Renault.
i think the juke is one of the most ugliest cars ever made. but that's my opinion
Just do not buy diesel because this car have a lot of score with petrol and its not por fuel economy. And i like this car really but i am for more power full cars.

Martin Jones lol I got 525d bmw for working only. ANd diesel is not better than a petrol.. I got mustang v6 and its better. Less cost for repair and got sound and you can overspeeding and have fun. With diesel for normal drive on everyday, not for sport drive... its to slow for that.
