Thanks for the in-depth review…brilliant……we are heading to Australia in November this year and going from Sydney to Cairns to Port Douglas to Mission Beach to Airlie to Hamilton to Rockhampton to Harvey Bay to Brisbane…then onto the South Island of New Zealand…….all help and advices and greatly appreciated😊
Thanks a bunch for the comment and appreciate the feedback. If you're still researching the other locations, I have plenty of Videos to help along the Queensland Coast Plus, My blog has plenty of articles on the South Island of New Zealand. I hope you have a blast on your Holidays!
@ that’s fantastic….I’ll check them over next month as not going till November 25….if they are as good as the Airlie Beach I’m on a winner….thanks a mill 😎
@ Plenty of time to organise - Happy Planning
@ Just popped into your website…looks amazing..can’t wait to get stuck in…cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪

@ShaneC-kx6sv some lovely underwater life to be seen in Queensland 😁
You've done everything.. early happy birthday from fellow Brisbane Aquarius.
@@hannesRSA not everything bit getting there 🤣🤣 Thanks 😁
Take these tips before booking. Dont prebook. If its over 15 knot forecast dont go out . Big tides dont go out. Overcast or raining dont go out.
@@JonHuntley totally agree... last minute booking is always better. 👍👍

@AquariusTraveller Coconut and pineapple
@Jack-b5s-y2h I'm guessing that's from the ginger beer factory....I will have to look at that again to see it 😁

@@cagangroo 🤣🤣🤣... does it for the love if it ❤️
I got about as far as parking and getting on the boats. 2 things I would 100% expect on a reef trip. It's literally Airlie Beaches biggest industry and has been for some time. I find the reef operators to be extremely professional. And of course there's lots of people if you choose to go with an operator that can take 400 people, maybe you could expect 400 people. What was the informative part of thus video. Actually just sounded like a personal whingr
Yep, It their biggest industry - But doesn't mean it good!
Thanks for the nice review. Do I need to bring my own pots and pans in the kitchen area?
We have always brought our own and I don't think I've seen many place providing them - Safer to bring them yourself
Is there a choice of helicopter type to fly in?
@@Stoic-of-Rome We organised our flight around the weather and booked last minute, but I also picked a time when they were only using the 4 seater chopper so we both got a seat. 😁 Is there a helicopter type better than others, that I should also be looking out for ?
Beautiful video and well presented with great commentary.
@@roddgerhard7993 aww...thanks so much and appreciate the comment 😁❤️
Hi All! have you used the GoPro for the fabulous underwater videos or your Olympus with a waterproof case? We can hardly wait visiting the East Coast in September and see some of the spots you brought closer to us - Guido from Germany
@@guidojrslm I would say mostly the gopro with a housing, the Olympus we tend to use for the photos we sell 😁 There are occasions we use a red filter but that depends on how deep we are going down. However, I'll be looking forward to testing out the insta 360 next time 😁 Hope you have fun with your trip in September ❤️
A very comprehensive and well put together video. Well done to you !

@ShaneC-kx6sv 😁👍👍
nice informative video and explanation. If i am going to Bluey's World from Landsborough station, which station should i stop at?
I copied this from the Blueys world website: Northshore Hamilton ferry stop is a 2 minute walk from the venue. Bus 305 operates weekdays and stops a 5 minute walk from the venue. Otherwise you can type it into the App and get the different services 😀
@@AquariusTraveller thanks. so the best way is to get the City Cat
@ the City cat is the closest, but I would check the options when you download the app and see whats best for you
I live in Bundaberg

Hope the food is better than adventure there food was horrible
@@kevasearle7928 there were some dishes that I liked, but anything on the free range was average to low. I'm sure the quality might have been higher on the paid range, but a steak at my local pub is better 😁
Are there luggage space in the train?
I've randomly seen areas, but not on every train. Mostly people just carry beside them, or nearby
Great video! Just curious, whats the alternative? We are travelling with our old parents in May, most likely May (all non/beginner swimmers), whats the best way for us to explore GBR? TIA!
@@chikmadphik thanks a bunch for the comment. This would depend on what areas you are travelling to, but I would stick to the inner reef tours or southern GBR trips.
sorry for the typo. Most likely we would be travelling to Cairns
@@chikmadphik probably a few options, but green island and Fitzroy Island are great for beginners with shallow waters and beach access. Although note that Fitzroy Island isn't officially on the GBR, but I've heard the reef is still nice there. Otherwise, stick with tours that talk about the inner GBR or up to an hours travel time.
Thank you so much! Much appreciated!! 🙏🏼
@@chikmadphik your welcome ❤️
Thank you! We are on this ship later this year! 🚢 Safe travels!
@@laurens6444 your welcome and hope you enjoy your trip 😁
Have you been to Perth? If so, what did you think of it?
@@Peacemakerblue I was born in WA so I've spent some time in Perth. I really like it as a city and a lot more spred out compared to the capitals on the east coast
@ Thanks for responding. I have one more question. I'm planning a three-week holiday to Australia in April/May and I'd like to know where the best place to go to in Queensland for a holiday? I was thinking of going to Cairns, but I really don't know as Australia is so big and its overwhelming. I just want the best experience when I go there. I'm from the UK, so it's a long way for me. Your videos are helpful.
@ This would depend on what you want to see, if you're choosing one or many locations, how you are getting there and your budget. Cairns is certainly one of the more popular locations, but what are your drawcards for Queensland? This should help you round down a location!
Live on gold and work in brisbane many doing this..
@@kylebreakey7855 definitely see so many people doing this 👍👍
Congratulations. Extremely well photographed and presented. As a 76 year old local the only thing that I was not aware of was the axe throwing.
@@robertwynne6451 thanks so much for the comment and glad you enjoyed the presentation. I'm sure there is heaps more activities I could have included... new stuff popping up in my feed at the time ❤️
I am a Brisbane local. What really annoys me is that the resort on Moreton Island, has a company that calls themselves Tangalooma Island Resort. That gives a false impression, and name that tourists think that they are on an island called Tangalooma. ( no such island )
@@robertwynne6451 your right and I often hear tourists saying that when I travel.
Thanks for the video! If you take the train from Cairns to Kuranda and the skyrail back, how do you get back to cairns since the Skyrail doesn't go all the way?
@@cranburydad skyrail has the extra bus transport from Smithfield, back to certain hotels and city locations 😁
Hi guys, just wondering if you have travelled with Royal Caraibean or Celebrity before, and if yes can you see huge difference between Royal group and P&O? Just curious your thoughts?
@@and_let_me_cook_that_first hey there...thanks for asking but sorry, we haven't been on either of those cruise lines yet ..... but might give them a go in the future
Hi. We're considering either Cairns as a base for some days or Hamilton Island (we can fly direct into and out of either based on our itinerary. Is this comparison to Airline Beach mostly applicable to Hamilton as they are in the same region or is there any other video that takes on Hamilton directly? Thanks. Seems like there will be a greater diversity of things to do from Cairns, but more laid back and easy of access to beaches and water sports from Hamilton.
@@cranburydad I've been the hamilton island a few times and have a comparison on Hamilton vs Airlie on my blog here aquariustraveller.com/airlie-beach-vs-hamilton-island/ Just haven't filmed that much at Hamilton and not enough footage for an entire video 😁
