    This is very definitive, and I wouldn’t argue that you are not the most accurate! 😮👍

      Thanks Man! Yeah I wouldn’t have made this video unless I was 99% sure, I can clearly here the Eb to E. I’ve had people comment and tell me I’m wrong and that he used a capo but after going back and investigating it’s just not possible on this recording! Thank you!

    You are right Adrian - there's a lot of subtle licks in there, especially during the verses. A sort of single note flicked over chords. Great tutorial.

    Truely excellent lesson. First rock song I learned to sing at 14 y.o. I've played my own skanky version in bands for years Agree you have nailed many subtleties that I've missed! Well done. ( Also good to hear Aussie vox. :) )

    . . . . .also your chops do give the impression of stomped footsteps as he “climbs the stairs”. Those guy’s were subtle in generousness.😮

    Really well done. The last section of the solo (on the 5 where you do the open string turnaround) is always how I heard it. Many other TH-cam videos don’t do it like you have done. I feel validated haha !
    You’re as OCD with old solos as I am.
    Cheers.

      Haha yeah I’m pretty extreme either way, I’ll either just loosely play it based on listening or transcribe it note for note! Always appreciate your input man!

      Hey Gary, thank you! Know they are regular 10-46 D’Addarios- I think using a jazz 3 style pick fattens the tone a little

  • @Thrillhouse56
    @Thrillhouse56 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just found out that both versions (the one on A and G) were played with a capo, try it out, it's exactly the same as on the recording, that also explains why you noticed a sliding when listening to it.

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm that could explain it but on the recording I can hear a slide happening on the fourth string too, which wouldn’t make sense if it was capo’d?

  • @andrewwatson4244
    @andrewwatson4244 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t get it after watching other tutorials how none of them pick up the double string pull offs, yeah they aren’t fun to play but even with my poor ear it’s obvious he’s playing double string pull offs. Great job sir!

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Andrew- yeah, there could be some confusion because there’s a few examples but I too am a little surprised to not see this version taught closely!

    J'ai vu dernièrement une vidéo concernant le solo de "Twenty flight rock" et le guitariste avait mis le capodastre à la cinquième case et ça change tout . Eddie Cochran utilisait régulièrement un capodastre .

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would make sense!! Strange trickery indeed, thanks for the heads up!!

    thinking about getting a duo jet. however i enjoy playing more of scotty moore and chet atkins so i’m leaning towards a country gentleman or even a 6120 what are your suggestions?!?
    thanks! love this song!

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they are all great, but if you want the big body sound go for the 6120, if you want something in between the country gentleman have a nice bit of snap to the tone with the thinner body! Definitely get something, you won't regret it!

    Could you go over the settings to get that great Eddie Cochran tone?

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ll have to think about what setting is used! Perhaps a video series featuring different tones? What do you think?

    Hye Adrien , got a duojet too and before going to upgrate it with New pickups more powerfull but expensive ( think about seymour duncan or maybe ellisonic from ron ellis) , i was wondering if some duo jet have fatter neck that mine . Mine has some king of slim 60 gibson shape . How about your s?

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, I’ve got the stock in mine and one thing I can suggest (that I haven’t done but would definitely help) is to get them shimmed and lifted a little closer to the strings, it would make that sound a bit bigger and nicer! But the Seymour’s are nice and don’t forget the t-armonds!

    • @AdrianWhyte
      @AdrianWhyte  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah mine is probably about that, it’s not a thick neck, almost between a c and a d shape
