Well, ain’t this a disaster? I had a backing track under the intro, I had labelled and numbered every scale and something has gone majorly wrong between editing and posting - if there’s anything majorly wrong in this please let me know. Seems to be going ok- very frustrating though! Sorry folks
Hey Adrian! So, I downloaded the PDF of these scales, and unfortunately there's a big error. The C Dominant 7 scale and the D Dominant 7 scale are identical.
Phenomenal lesson Adrian! One of your best... learning licks and songs is all well and good but understanding the tools and concepts so we can "create" as opposed to "copy" is priceless. Between this lesson and X-RAY Nico showing us "his way" as opposed to "note-for-note" is all an aspiring guitar player needs to know to get started in rockabilly and psychobilly. Thank you for an excellent lesson.
Thank you so much Paul, it’s really great to hear that. I’m very passionate about this aspect of learning, I think you need both transcriptions and some structure to understand what’s happening to really feel grounded in a genre. I’ll continue to make more and talk about moving ideas up the neck!
@@CC-qb9sm Hey CC! I’m going to see Gordie Johnson in a couple weeks. You remember him from Grady, I remembered him from Big Sugar wayyyyy back in time. I still haven’t got my Baritone put together yet but soon… I agree we should see more scales, great stuff to learn. Take care CC
Cheers Cc, glad you enjoyed it mate!! I think this stuff is super important- glad to hear others do as well! You’re the second person to ask today so I will definitely follow up!!
@@kerryfromaj9032 - That should be good fun! Yes, I remember our previous conversation, Grady was so good live! I was an instant fan! Have a blast! Let me know how the show goes, and keep me posted on the baritone progress. Have a good one!
Hi mate maybe doesn't matter but the chapters i.e. Minor Blues at 2:17 are all out of synch because of the intro it.... may be worth re-uploading? Good lesson either way.
@@AthelstanEngland hey Archie, I can redo the chapters- TH-cam holds you to ransoms with performance of uploads, if I pull this down and reupload it will hurt the video a lot. Really sucks - so Monday I’ll adjust the chapters- thanks for letting me know!
@@AthelstanEngland man I’m furious, I actually had it all labelled in the video too, a backing track under the intro with acoustic guitar and double bass- I have no idea what has happened here!! It’s like someone has hit the undo button 50 times before I mastered it down!
Hey thanks for the new Video. Thats good for me i Work with 4 scales and its time for the next. Buddy you are the best man. I Love the Videos you make a Great Job. For its 8 in the Morning and 🤣 yes i have my Coffee 🤣.😎 TCB 😎 Rockabilly Rules 😎 Rockabilly Rules 😎 TCB
Thanks Dennis. Your comment cheered me up- I have no idea what has happened but a lot of work I did editing this video has gone, this is almost a raw upload from the camera - I even had a backing track on the guitar intro with double bass and acoustic 😭😭😭

Thanks Adrian its great to tie it all in together and talk about what scales or arpeggios to use over progressions ... well done and thanks again !
Awesome lesson! Thank you! Time to practice!! Appreciate offering the free tabs and backing tracks!
Totally essential! Also, I love it when lessons hit early in the weekend! 🤠
By the way, I would enjoy a future lesson on moving the scales up the neck. I hope you and yours have a great weekend!

Yes indeed, if you’re talking about the intro they certainly come from scales and work within scales
