Other than no flip trays it's utterly superb, and having the major special features be in their own case is quite brilliant. The artwork is gorgeous throughout and simply better than the more art school reject designs of the steelbooks and their crappy minimalist styled case. 😉
Because all the discs are stacked I want to pick up the steel books I instead but only if I can get them at a discounted price because they are pricy and I like the art on them
@@SidNightWalker No they aren’t only the last season steelbook has stacked discs the other cases have a swinging tray for the discs. The season 8 case has three bonus discs stacked on one side and the three episode discs stacked on the other. I plan on just rehousing the bonus discs in a separate case and leaving the other three in the steelbook so only two discs in the entire set will be stacked instead of every disk of every season like in the standard release.
How are you handling those discs ? Take them out and dirty them on a table ? Yikes! Even if the discs survive , the dust or dirt is carried over into your player ....
Buyer Beware!! The box advertises that the digital codes are only valid in the USA and Canada, unfortunately codes are region locked to the USA only and not valid in Canada. I emailed Warner Bros asking for a new code for Canada and they said it’s only for the USA so they’re not able to provide me with a new code. Hopefully when I’m down in the USA the codes will work but not getting my hopes up.
Thanks for the video, now I know not to buy it. I thought it might be hiding some nice cardboard folding packaging or some other nice design but standard/boring UHD boxes and not even having separate disc trays is cheap and lazy. A far cry from my awesome blood slide Dexter blu-ray box set... 😞
Because of the discs being stacked at first, I'm having the cases redone. Other than that, the 4K transfers are actually great. I had my doubts at first as the Blu Ray already had Dolby Atmos
Unfortunately, mine came without the second disk for the first season, also, some disks had fingerprint marks, dust, and scratches. 😢, I had to return it.
Even though I have the blu ray limited edition set and the 4K steelbook set coming on December 14 here in the UK, I still wanna pick up the standard box sets both on Blu-ray and 4K. Don’t ask why, I’m an absolute collector nut.
Here in sweden the 4K steelbook set is the same price as standard 4K Box set. Is it the same in Uk? I probably Will go with the steelbook as i am not a fan of the stacking of disc and i think the 4K cover looks better even if the dont look so great either
@@cappachino78 £250 (steelbook) £200 (slipbox) if I remember correctly the US steelbook doesn’t have the disks stacked on top of each other but you’d have to check that out. I hope I’ve helped out as best I can?

Could you please tell if the digital copies are 4K too? I couldn’t find the series on iTunes in 4K
The digital copies that come with the boxset are not 4k.
Ok here's the question. If the Warner Bros logo is on the side and back of the 4K UHD cases, how come the the Warner Bros isn't on the discs?
