Your high-5 made me cry. With no support or even listen to me "vent" about the fear, frustration, & uncertainty of my medical situation. Such long distance kindness and understanding is appreciated. Thank you.
You guys could really become doctors with everything you have had to learn. I love how positive you guys are & I'm sure all the prayers you are receiving helps. 💕
A dietitian had more certifications, so you're probably seeing a dietitian. Mary, I've been watching you and Peter for over a year now. I don't have CF, but Ulcerative Colitis, and when I got my large intestine removed I met a man in the hospital with CF who changed my life. He had a double lung transplant and told me his story and how happy he was. You shine so bright even in difficult times. You're now crossing over into my world with NG/NJ tubes and bathroom talk. People with digestive diseases don't have an option but to talk about bathroom stuff, because it could be life or death and this was the first time you kind of hurt my feelings, and in past blogs you've called bathroom stuff gross. I would really encourage you to maybe use a different word. You and Peter are such great advocates for CF and self love and resilience and I love watching your videos. I just felt like I had o say something as an advocate myself for people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease!
I know this comment is half a decade old, but it resonates so well even now. I have complete GI tract dysmotility, and my spouse has UC, so a good chunk of our marriage is devoted to GI talk. I can't imagine life where I'd be ashamed to be upfront about how I'm feeling and what I need, and I hate to think of other people being discouraged from speaking up.
When I was working at a daycare I had an infant that had CF. It was hard doing her compressions twice, keeping up with all the meds she needed, and making sure she got the nutrition she needed in a daily basis but she was the sweetest baby I'd ever met. Her mom struggled with being a single mom and the extra patting I did before she left me each day took that stressor off her mom so she's have a chance to just be able to spend some time with her as "mom" for a bit before she had to go back to being "nurse mom". I loved that I was able to give her mom that rest she needed on a daily basis. Seeing how happy you and Peter are gives me hope that that baby girl will get a chance to be happy too, even with the knowledge that she has an horrific genetic disease. Thank you for that.
Paige Reneé He really does! Taking care of Mary alone for six years nonstop is tough enough, but he's doing a great job of taking care of Ollie and managing the channel, too.
"I'm trying to say something without saying something" As a person with chronic tummy aches... I hear ya girl! It's so difficult to talk about sometimes, but there is no shame in what our bodies do, it just is what it is...
Dietitian she's probably a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist RDN, God bless y'all I'm just so thankful every time I watch y'all, I mean the level of grace you display thru all of this is uncanny!! I pray God's supernatural healing over you Mary!
The two of you have such a beautiful ministry! You demonstrate so well how to love one another and how powerful the joy of the Lord is! You are constantly in my prayers. Thanks for sharing life with us all.
Hang in there, Mary! When you said this is a bit of a trial and error process, I think that is true, or at least it was for me when I started using my feeding tube. I didn't have the extra concerns that you have with CF, either! I keep praying that the throat pain will ease, the ZenPep dose will get sorted out, and using the feeding tube will get better for you day by day. Christ's peace be with you, Peter, and Ollie.
I really love the new intro! I hope everything with your feeding tube gets sorted out soon. I love watching your vlogs and seeing your incredible spirits! I have a spinal cord injury and am in a wheelchair so I know some of the struggles but I hope and pray for all of you that things calm down and you can go home soon! I spent 68 days in the hospital when I suffered my injury and there is no place like being home, in your own bed and your own space!
I hope that the feeding tube is a short term thing for you, but you might consider talking to your team about a J-peg...I know it is a surgery, which is risky, but might be something to consider down the road, since nutrition seems to be a chronic issue rather than an acute one. I know the team has probably already at least considered that for the future, but having had patients that have switched from NJ to J-Peg, most absolutely say it is worth it if the feedings are more than just short term. Praying as always and God Bless!
Mary and Peter, you are 2 of the most inspirational young adults ever. You smile every day and find so much joy in each other and with life in general. I believe part of it is your faith and the other part is you are fantastic human beings. You never cease to amaze me. You bring me hope that I can get through my days with my struggles and those of my 2 boys. Also, you show me that it is possible to find a loving partner even when there are daily challenges to be faced.
I in no way "know" what you go through. But I just was released from the hospital after a week of being there due to severe pneumonia. I've always respected you Mary, but after this week my respect and admiration has increased ten fold. That feeling and fear of not being able to breath and having lungs that just are not up to par is terrifying. Also, you must have the STRONGEST abs, back and rib muscles lol! I pulled a muscle in my back and tore a muscle in my ribs from coughing so much!! Keeping you in my prayers always ❤️
Your strength never ceases to amaze me. Today I was told I need to start considering eye muscle surgery for major vision issues and it broke me down. But then I remembered how strong you 3 are in all of this. Thank you for helping me find strength! I hope today was better and I'm sending lots of love.
it's really inspiring how you guys face these really difficult challenges, every day, with a smile on your faces. I think that through your experience I'm learning to face my problem with a more positive approach. Thank you for that!!
That's gotta be so hard. Mary you are such an encouragement to me. I have Celiac Disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, SIBO, and now possibly psoriasis. I'm in constant pain most of the time unable to get out of bed, but watching you go through all of these different things has been such a blessing to me. Thank you.
Mary!! I find you continue to be a driving and encouraging force even while going thru this not so fun part!!! You are STILL helping people everywhere!!! Question and u prob already answered it but I am not sure about this.. I understand the tube, the enzymes but are you eating at all by mouth or do you not feel hungry at all? I am so very happy you are getting the nutrition you need to give you strength to fight on girl!!! Keep on rocking!!! 🐸🐸❤️
Mary, thank you for your positivity and your light, I am taking a leaf out of your book and learning to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy everyday for what it is not what it could be. Today I had a good day, well good couple of hours and I was able to do some washing, the dishes, go for a short walk with my son to the dairy to buy milk and even do a little baking.. now I am exhausted and sore but pleased with my effort! I have health issues I guess I will call them. It looks like MS but am waiting on an MRI on my brain and spine. I have a chronic pain condition and live on morpheine based pain killers four-five times per day, I have nerve damage, I have to walk with a cane outside of my home (I refuse to use it in the home, I am stubborn! LOL) I have constant headaches with little reprieve. My pain levels are at a 6-7 on my pain meds and an 8-9 off them. I too have digestive issues and know what a pain that is.. I have not had a pain free day in five years now and I also suffer with chronic fatigue and am unable to work or do alot each day so I too am at home alot. I am a single mum of three boys who have ADHD which is challenging with my health but I take each day as it comes. I am greatful for you and Peter and Ollie who are a part of my everyday live, I always think "how's Mary doing?" alot throughout the day, it helps me to know you are living each day with grace and joy. I won't forget to laugh everyday! Amy from New Zealand xx
Mary, it is nice to see that you are doing better. I am sorry that your throat is hurting so badly. I sure pray that your body will absorb the food that you are getting through the feeding tube. You are a real trooper! Thank you for the high fives. All my love to you.
Your such an amazing couple (Ollie included in that). Even though life is hard and it's a fight each day you still find so much peace. I came to your channel because of the dale tribe and I'm so thankful to them! Each day I find myself thinking hmm I wonder how the Frey life is today! So much love and prayers from New Zealand xo
hey guys..i wanted to thank you for your interesting videos :) i am a medicine student in the first semester and i watch your vlogs every day..this helps me to understand cystic fibrosis from a more " human" point of view.. :) btw : i really admire you two ( and oliver of course) for your courage and your positivity 😊
You are such an inspiration, Mary. Your happy and sunny attitude gives others hope. The "correct" term is "dietitian"...but we answer to either :) And FYI (for anyone who was curious): Only a little bit of food is digested and absorbed in the stomach. The stomach basically makes the food digested ENOUGH to pass on to the small intestine. The bulk of nutrient absorption is done in the small intestine which is why it is so long and has the "microvilli" (finger-like microscopic surface area of the small intestine) that absorb your nutrients...which is why you need the enzymes. And just a side note "It's always good when you poo." Truer words were never spoken.
When I first started watching you, I knew you were so amazing and positive, but you are just a team of absolute superstars... I know that sound silly but that's the best thing I can think of to describe you two! You are amazing and I'm praying for you!
You are such an inspiration. I have been watching your vlogs for at least a year maybe a bit longer. I hope that all the issues get sorted out for you.
so cool that your pup gets to be with you where ever u go. must make it not so lonely when Peter is gone, I'd take my dog everywhere too, if I could :( pretty cool. Praying.
Just ordered decals.....hope one day to have one that says..."DO WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN'T DO" I'd love it. That has helped pull me through some really tough stuff. Thanks, love you guys.
living the good life with my hubby. he has end stage liver disease so I totally get your struggle. it is wonderful to see how positive you keep the struggles. god bless you guys!!
Since getting the feeding tube you look and sound so much better Mary. It's amazing what a little bit of food can do to improve the strength of your body! God bless you guys :)
oh I just love how positive both of you are... I can only imagine all the stuff you go thru... I have come to appreciate life so much thru you... Take care all of you my prayers are with you....
Your positive attitude and smile is amazing and I truly enjoy your videos. Keep being an inspiration and keep the faith. You are the cutest couple, and love your service dog too!
You guys are the most beautiful couple I've ever seen. Mary, you are very very very pretty (my daughter's name is also Mary). I pray for you and Peter a lot. You are such an inspiration and I'm thankful for people like you. I'm also a disabled woman and I've been in hospitals ever since i can remember but that doesn't take away my faith in god and i see the same in you guys. God bless you both. You will always have a friend in me! Right over here in Missouri.
GOD bless you.. you both are amazing, I also have a chronic illness And you inspire me everyday, with your positive attitude And Faith.. praying for you.
I've had an NG tube twice and I can relate to the sore throat :( Drinking cold water helped me with that a little. I love watching you guys! I just got a service dog a year ago and it's cool to see someone who has one too :) Praying for you that these issues are resolved soon so you can go home
I've had a rough day. When I watch your vlog you just gave me a burst of encouragement!Thank you for that and the high five! You are such an inspiration to me and many others! Much love to you all! ❤
Hi Mary I just wanted to tell you about a product I used on chemo, On chemo your mouth gums and throat gets tore up, at least the ones I was on, so they gave me this mouth wash throat stuff, it has a crazy name like magical mouth wash or maybe thats what my doctor called it but it soothed and numbed. The doc ordered it for me I dont have the old bottle to know the name. It was instant relief GOOD NIGHT☺ OH I think he might have called it swish too.
You may want to try Throat Coat tea from Traditional Medicinals. I don't know if it might interfere with any of your meds, but it really sooths irritated mucus membranes and throat (and it's yummy!). It helps to heal any scratches you might have in there as well. If you can't do all the herbs, slippery elm bark and marshmallow root are the two herbs that will help best.
You guys are my favorites ever. So overwhelming blessed to have you guys in my life through these videos (and sometimes comments, too!). You all are such a tremendous blessing and continual encouragement to me. Praying for you guys always. I know you guys don't complain, and are always looking at life through gratitude lenses, but I do know that in the midst of gratitude and eternal joy, there are some really, really, really hard days. Standing by you guys as you walk through them. Eternally grateful that I will spend forever with such amazing people, because of Jesus Christ!
I've started watching your videos lately and I think they are amazing and so motivational. It would be awesome if you made a shirt or a decal that said your quote "Do whatcha think you can't do" Stay Strong!!! Love y'all!!
From my own experience seeing the sky (mainly the morning sky) when your staying in hospital really makes a difference in how you feel. It gives me a feeling of contentment, anyone else?
What a beautiful view! hope you will get to go home soon:). I love how you make the bad things in life seem so good ( like your NJ tube). I hope both of you have a good rest of the day!
You're so encouraging Mary and Peter. I pray that you were able to get your feedings worked out with the enzymes. Also wanted to let you know.....I got my surgery date. February 10th. I've waited 20 years for this!!
God Bless you both. Hope you get home asap... hope the tube isn't so uncomfortable today. As an Irish subscriber I know about CF... unfortunately... seems to be an Irish thing... Between you and the team and that Man upstairs you will be victorious!!
With love from Jim and me in Missouri!!! Keep on fighting and supporting each other...Mary you are a rock star....Jesus is your Rock and Peter is your Star!
I started rewatching your videos recently and I never understand the struggle with your digestion and feeds with cf until recently I was diagnosed with pancreatic insufficiency and have now the same struggle of enzymes to digest and absorb calories. Thank you for your videos
Your high-5 made me cry. With no support or even listen to me "vent" about the fear, frustration, & uncertainty of my medical situation. Such long distance kindness and understanding is appreciated. Thank you.
Can I just say yall are a blessing to watch
Abby Vlogs I totally agree!
kelly tinjee
Abby Vlogs them and the free hugs guy are so inspiring.
You guys could really become doctors with everything you have had to learn. I love how positive you guys are & I'm sure all the prayers you are receiving helps. 💕

Peter needs to get an amazing award for all his hard and deduction and his effort he does every single day for Mary and for TH-cam 💚

I don't have CF but I have other problems. I had forgotten to take my meds today. So while Mary mentioned hers it reminded me. So thank you. 👍😀
Peter you ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! Mary you are blessed to have Peter and of course Oliver.
Mary, I love how you truly appreciate the beauty of nature, the simple things -- a morning sky, a gorgeous pink cotton candy sunset. xx
Dietitian she's probably a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist RDN,
God bless y'all I'm just so thankful every time I watch y'all, I mean the level of grace you display thru all of this is uncanny!! I pray God's supernatural healing over you Mary!
I watched your live stream, LOVED it!!! You two are so special!
If you could make the decals as clings, I'd love to put one on the back window of my car.
I would love that too!! Got a nice spot on my back window, would look awesome!!
utube101x yeah! I would love this! :) I hope they see your suggestion!
yes please!!😁
I would like car clings, also! I would support ALL of my youtube channels that way. You guys, The Dale Tribe, DreamFlight6000...
Me too - would love car clings!!

Does the sore throat ever go away

Stay strong Mary, you are doing great.
You are doing great Mary!! Keep being strong and brave! High five back! Big thumbs up to Peter!!
I love both of your faith and perseverance I think God did a solid when he picked you for each other!!
Well done Mary..you are doing really well! Well done to Peter and Ollie. That view certainly is worth being hospitised for.

I hope both of you have a good rest of the day!
it feels like you personally answered my question in the vlog today:) I'm sorry the tube hurts!
I love you both so much! It can be so difficult to stay positive and encouraging. You definitely show God's love.
I watched the LiveStream... you guys cracked me up!! I needed that!
thank you guys for always giveing me that push to do what I think I can't do! love you guys💜💜
You're so encouraging Mary and Peter. I pray that you were able to get your feedings worked out with the enzymes. Also wanted to let you know.....I got my surgery date. February 10th. I've waited 20 years for this!!
So many times I wish I could give you guys more than one like per video. You're both so amazing.
Your humour is a blessing...have a good night🤗
thank you for reminding me to never lose faith..
Thanks for making me laugh today! Hope you get some relief with these side issues soon, Mary. 🙂
God Bless you both. Hope you get home asap... hope the tube isn't so uncomfortable today. As an Irish subscriber I know about CF... unfortunately... seems to be an Irish thing... Between you and the team and that Man upstairs you will be victorious!!
Love youuu guys from France ~ 💙 ~ Both of you are very brave !
Peter, your shirt is awesome! I hope you get better soon Mary😍. Cheers from Uruguay!!!!!
