This was one of the most realistic performances I've seen on Between two ferns. Everyone else's acting is overly, unnaturally awkward and silent. Ben Stiller does a believable performance.

Ehh. I don't respect him much anymore as an actor. Don't get me wrong, when I was more naive in my teenage years I loved him and his movies, thought he was funny. After getting older I notice one distinct acting pattern in LITERALLY ALL his movies; adam sandler always does the same shit: has short-temper, does his little speech impediment funny little voice and typically beats people up in his movies. He has the same played out acting regime in every movie. He can't act IMO.
While, I agree Adam Sandler as of late has become a bit of a joke. Every movie he's done from You Don't Mess With The Zohan and on-wards has been utter dog shit. Adam Sandler does have genuine talent. It's just been unfortunate that he was typecast throughout most of his career, a very similar story to Jim Carey, only instead ending up severely depressed like Jim Carey has... Still is, in-fact. Adam Sandler embraced it.
It kind sucks though because there have been movies with Adam Sandler which were genuinely good performances, examples: The Wedding Singer, Punch-Drunk Love, Click but probably the most significantly underrated Reign Over Me, first film that showed he can portray a sincere character without any goofs, silly voices or beating someone.
Legend71377 he doesn't do a single one of those things in funny people he gets his ass kicked and actually runs from a fight.

I 'm only just finding out this was actually a show. I just saw the movie on netflix and it's the very 1st I've heard of it. Funny.
So many good episodes of this show, so many great moments in this episode, but the two best moments of the entire series are Ben reading back the e-mail address and Zach asking if he wished he followed his parents into comedy.
I still come back to these skits cause all actors just nailed their role
