@@2Sugarbearsthey check the provinence, if it's stolen or a facsimily the auction house could get into trouble they seldom take this risk BUT ofcourse many of the materials (the gold, the jewels, the ivory etc.) were "stolen" at some point in time, if you want to frame it that way, because they came into existence through colonialist war, mining and trading efforts.

BUT, i never hear anyone rushing to return their home, properties, money, or any other items because after all, NONE OF US would be here if not for war and colonization. Wow, what a perfect replica! How can I tell? Because digital transmission transfers quite dirty and moddled due to the old age of the painting, restoration cannot come close to presenting the brilliant colors of this piece shown immediately in this video. Nothing lasts forever, and art is the first thing to get dingy, in fact, people did not value washing their hands or keeping their hands to themselves, they touched artwork like it was no big deal, and it showed appreciation of a work of art. Fail, Sorry Old Masters, I'm not interested in replicas.

They're investments, if you actually had the funds, you wouldn't be complaining about these items gathering dust, your money would be gathering interest faster than anything available in a regular market.
