SUMMARY - Actualized - Understanding The Authentic Self - Discovering Who You Really Are ego defense mechanism is to say doing certain things is not me eg. leading is not me, being creative is not me, talking dirty in bed is not me, having strong work ethic is not me, etc. is it me or is it not me - game is a dangerous thing you have to get over this game whatever you think is authentically not you cuts the possibility to be this off ---> self image video your authentic you is what you become when you are fully actualized, its an ideal you never 100% become it 2. Level who you are is constantly changing in a real sense there is no real you 3. there is no such thing that is scientifically you ---> enlightenment videos The authentic you is the self actualized you lazy self vs. best self Till your 20s you naturally grow, get ideas, get adjusted to the world, after that many people decide to stuck in comfort not taking no aditional labor, pushing comfort zones, no additional labor people saying its not notural for them to do something us this as excuse to stay in comfort self actualization is not a luxury but it is required to develop your psyche 15:30 Once you grew up You know that you have so much more potential, that you can have so much impact on people To live a self actualized life you have to work on yourself, challenging yourself The greatest fullfillment you get from life are not low level pleassures like food but high level pleasures of self actualization work like growing yourself, pushing yourself and conquering obstacles, being on a heros journey, helping other people, living your passion, sharing your gifts you are growing into your authentic self when you push yourself every day 19:00 Your authentic self would be confident, assertive, disciplined, internally grounded, emotionally stable, on purpose in life, deeply passionate about everything you do, having zero limiting beliefs, knowing you can achieve everything, having a strong sense of power, having a strong self esteem and success, ,knowing you deserve it, having the desire to explore all in life, being fully self expressive, not holding back for anyone, having zero fears, tackling any kind of challenge in life without fears, being 100% positive, having no negative thoughts, seeing the world as a beatiful amazing positive place and wanting to make it even better, being social and outgoing, being generous to yourself with your time and the work you are doing, doing work that promotes you and other people, it means being selfless, being value driven, by higher consciousness,, being in high consciousness state like fullfilling your dreams, being idealistic driven being authentic mean being healthy, sober, fit, lean, energetic, full of vitality, muscular, sexual, highly sexual, comftable with your sexuality, accepting the opposite sex, and also being able to changing sides (feminine - masculine) and you are comftable with that, it means being completely minded and nothing offends you, you are open to be wrong, having ability of how you approach life, having noble thoughts, not patty thoughts 24:00 If you cant imagine being your authentic self this is because you have lots of social conditioning You still are unique, having unique strenths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes as your authentic self you are not you, you are being you. you are not a noun, you are a verb. You are a process always evolving Realize that the self image you have consisting of a bunch of beliefs like how good you think you are in business, in realtionships, as a human being, how much value you have in society these are all beliefs# your self image has been shaped by random influences from outside, by books, shows, family, friends etc. People are attached to their self image, proud of it, this limits their potential When you do enlightenment work you realize that your identity is just concept, a figmentt of your imagination everything that is a thought in your brain is conceptualization of reality 35:00 its a fiction of what is out there !who you think you really are is fiction created by your brain, your ego you will discover that there is no authentic self just live living itself and you are pure awareness of life this leads to the idea of no-self you are none of what you think you are its makes you tensioned, selfish, petty, blocks you to preserve, fight for your self image 37:00 If you let go of your selfish desires, fears etc. you expand out, you flow with life, being productive Whipe of the grime bit by bit until you can trully shine Thanks Leo
Thank you for taking the time to write that summary. It is a long video, full of important points which I had forgotten by the end. Reading the summary helped reinforce the info.

Detaching from ego has been one of the major challenges for me. It's scary to let go of ego even though I know I will be much happier. I like how you explained that we are just awareness living a life experience. Great video!
Leo speaks the truth in this video. After working a job that provided a "comfortable" life for over a decade I started to suffer debilitating headaches. I started hating the job before the headaches, but I was earning more money than I ever believed I could. The money forced me to stay as long as I could. After about 26 months of pure hell from headaches I threw in the towel. Point is I forced myself to continue doing something I didn't want to be doing just for money. My body began to break down (headaches). At the time I didn't realize where the headaches were coming from, but I know now that it was my body's way of saying this is not what you are supposed to be doing. Leo explains that your mind and soul start to rot from the inside out. Unfortunately I believe a lot of people will not learn this from this video, they will probably have to live through it to realize how much of a reality this truly is. Trust me, it's real. Best advice is do what you want to do. There's gotta be something you always wanted to do but EVERYONE told you it will not pay the bills. Screw it! Live YOUR life! DO THAT! Go for it!
Truth is what never change!! Your thoughts change, your emotions change, your circumstances change, your Body change, everything is changing except one thing, the observer in you. Thanks LEO you're work change the World, please go on.
Thank you so much. I thought I was having a middle age crisis before 40. But I realize I'm starting to become my true self and getting a better or higher state of conscious . Man,... thank you !
Hi Leo! Just wanted to say thank you so much for devoting your time and energy into sharing this information in such a clear, genuine and practical way. I am definitely at a stage in my life of personal growth and development and although there have been many awesome encounters with motivators and inspiring people on my journey, you have been by far the most influential for me on you tube. I watch a new video everyday and no matter what the topic is, I always walk away from my laptop feeling more empowered and confident than when I started. Wish you continued success in all of your current and future endeavors.
Deborah Otero Sorry but your pic drew my attention you are so beautiful! No worries I am a straight female :) I agree with you me too I am watching Leo's videos 'religiously'. All the best.
I just discovered you, already overwhelmed with trying to see what was missing in my life, and I think you really hit the nail on the head. I'm addicted. I listen to you all night before I go to sleep and it's really been touching my soul. Thank you so much for existing. 😌
Once you reach enlightenment these things are clear to you. If you are on this video you are awakening and you are on the path to this enlightenment also and will see it in time. You can only perceive that if which you are the same vibration of.
You try to understand it. You build the understanding of the life, of yourself and the world around. Once that starts fit in like bricks do while you build the wall, it will stick for a very long time, because you have built a very solid foundation to lay it upon.
Leo, you are unbelievable, .I am hearing everything I need to hear. Your parents must be beside themselves for raising such an incredible human being. I have a son just like you. He is 35. I put so much work in my children, now I need to work on me. You have helped me so much. God bless you.
Woah Leo, that was one of the best videos I ever saw in my life.Your Definition of the "Authentic Self" is just spot on.. I actually can feel what you mean by what you meant by being the "Actualized self" its like higher consciousness, its like being aware of your actions, every minute every second..The Example of "Sun with Grime" is just so perfect.. thank you so much... makes me realize that I have been soo stupid all my life.. and post watching this video its like how much better it could have been... but its never too late.. from this point on I realized that your life can actually go to soo many different directions...Cant thank you enough.. cheers buddy.. many thanks.
Leo, I relate to you a lot. I've been calling it "studying happiness" for a while, what I've been doing, but I see now that it could also be called "studying enlightenment". I feel that... what you are trying to achieve by making these videos is very similar to what I want to achieve. Helping people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Helping people break out, break free, and reach their "highest" (though as you mentioned, unlimited) potential. I'm still traveling on a path I made for myself, and taking care of some things I really want to do, but this is the kind of stuff I think and write about all the time. I think I've written more essays now, than I ever wrote in school. This is the kind of work I envision myself doing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in all these videos.
Thanks, Leo! Lately I've been depending on 'friends' when I've been feeling low, and it resulted in feelings of betrayal, miscommunication and being misread. Listening to your videos is like listening to advice from an authentic friend. Thank you for helping me find the strength to find my center again.
You mentioned that who we were in the past in not our authentic self. But who we can possibly be is our authentic self. When I was a child, especially around 12, I was good in school, bold, expressive, funny, a confident public speaker, social, creative, passionate and loved learning. Are you saying that this was not my authentic self, and my authentic self is even more of what I was at this age? If so, this is a very exciting prospect. I don't think our potential should be limited by youth. I think that our imagination of what is possible is just the beginning of what is possible, and the more we act into, and become the initial aspects of what is possible, the more possibility we are capable of imagining and moving into, and our bodies will transform to fit the authentic self that is capable of fully expressing what we imagine ourselves to be in our highest form.
I've been coming back to this video after so many years, realized it's so underrated and it's really freeing, this concept of an authentic self being a verb.
yessss i swear , when he was talking about self actualization things i was sure that this is not the best version of me . if these things mean that i'm self actualized , so maybe i just dont want to
A life lived with passion and authenticity is really the only true way of being. Thank you, Leo, for your amazing encouragement, selflessness, and for leading us toward our most enlightened presentation of our true purpose.
I found out it's a BIG disservice not being your authentic self, not only a disservice to you, but them too. Plus it creates confusion for you and people you encounter. Be your authentic self. It is a gift to everyone
I've never met an authentic person who's detached from their body. The authentic self isn't just the mind, but how the mind and body have served each other throughout your life. It's service to the body conscious and subconscious.
It is just amazing how detailed my new vision for life starts to grow! Is like a black and white old blury and boring movie becoming a HD 3D interesting movie in a movie thearer.
This is Ryan Pope and I'm so glad to find you. I knew blaming others are not the answer. I need to share your knowledge with my family. Blessings to you
I agree with you Leo. As I always like to say and remind my mind with these words: " No matter what you are, what really matters is what you'll be. Because what you're now has taken place of what you have been"
The end of this video was pretty awesome. When you imagine yourself as just more life in a world of life, cells living and the system of the body living through that everything, it makes it a lot more important and precious to want to help other life. Like, yes helping out friends, yes environmentalism, yes animal conservation. It makes it, to me, far more important to be a force for enrichment of the world around me,
I've been attracting these sort of videos for a while now but I've never come so close to holding the understanding of self until now. Thank you, with your help I now recognized that what I feel now is my capacity to self-actualize.
The problem I see in myself isn't a lack of understand or willingness to understand all the concepts you explain in your videos.. or even a lack of belief. It's more like a lack of motivation, how do I motivate myself to practice and implement your ideals more into my life? I know I want a better more positive mindset, I know I want to let go of my self image and realize that i am only pure awareness of a universal reality, but taking steps into that direction is always difficult for me! I'm introspective in the sense that I know my rationalizations, I can articulate and understand them.. I'm aware of the hidden thoughts I have on myself and know that they're having a negative impact on my mindset, but i'm refusing to "let go" i'm refusing to take away the power these thoughts have on me. I also struggle with impulse control! what actual non theatrical steps can I take to really force myself into getting the confidence and strength to adopt new ideals?
Your problem is that you haven't created a compelling enough vision and you have no life purpose. Once you get those two things, you will have lots of motivation. Life Purpose - Critical Points For Finding Your Life Purpose
I was falling apart in being authentic to myself because I started feeling so guilty about it. Like I was doing something wrong for being me. You have given light to the darkest parts of my understanding. I've been binge watching your videos, rather then moping in depression and self-pity. Thank you. Thank you.
I have a group of male supporters showing me this. Helping me become myself again. And I'm doing my own work. Along with them. They are helping me live. There is life outside. Almost like I couldn't trust men anymore. But I trust them. They are showing me that too. They let me be who I truly am.
Thank you for this video Leo. It was really helpful. I have been wondering more and more about why I am in the place that I am now. Why am I still single? Why do I attract the type of people in my life? Why am I in this country? Why do I sometimes feel stuck and alone? This really made me dive deep.
Hey Luvie1980, just curious, I know you posted ur comment a few years ago but have you been able to implement any changes as a result of watching this video. Personally I have watched this and I m trying to really put all of this into perspective. what you think?
16:53 Good one Leo ! Thanks again for all the help, you kickstarted my personal development 8 months ago.Since then ive gotten into best shape of my life, quit drinking and smoking payd off half of my debt and for the first time in my life i have savings in the bank.Still a lot to do though, for the last 16 years i really pushed myself to make a mess of my life :)
@@SherifatSuliemon-lw6ls It's Hard to give you a short answer. Still not drinking or smoking and still on my personal development journey. I guess it lasts a lifetime. What I find it hard (even at 41 years old) is to fully let go of my past. But I went the health and fitness way all these years back and stuck with it. Here where I live and I want to inspire other people to quit their addictions and to take care of themselves.
@@thomasparg1981 Okay, you don't have to have an answer, my intention is to help you see if where you are right now align's with your commitments years ago. You are doing great bro, keep moving
There is so much gold in these videos! its incredible how many elements of my life have and improved drastically since watching, contemplating and then putting these ideas into practice over the last few months. Do yourself a favour watch all these with an open mind see what resonates and start putting it into your everyday life. there is so much crap out there with various chatlatons telling you how to better yourself with various techniques etc. This guy is most definitely not one of those. I've had anxiety and depression for over 15 years, had various therapy and medication from some top guys in their field spent massive $$$ trying to establish where its was coming from and how to dissolve it. Ive certainly seen improvement with the other stuff i was doing but seriously, this guy covers a lot of what the top therapists are covering plus points towards all the enlightenment stuff too which is major... really major!! This is good and free?????. meditate, try to stop living in the confines of circumstance, and be your authentic self great stuff leo keep it coming.
Thank you Leo. I like to think and put things this way (in a non dualistic way): I’m not sad, I am the sadness; I’m not happy, I’m the hapiness; I’m not violent, I’m the violence; I’m not in love with, I am the love… et cetera.
Leo, do you prepare for your videos? Do you read your notes during recording or do you improvise the whole thing? It's hard to tell. You seem to be improvising, but you do it too well.
I am wondering, too, to be honest :D A lot of people just write down a rough outline of what they are going to speak about and improvise HOW they say it, so maybe that is what he does, too.
humanyoda A curious mind will wonder this! Maybe he wants to keep his secret. In the end I figure a deep understanding of something allows one to speak in a constant, passionate flow, as the topic becomes second nature. I could go on and on about what I'm passionate about, and my sister-in-law described me as someone who speaks in a way that reflects a stream of consciousness. It was kinda rude but hey thats her. She enjoys being the center of all attention.
this is incredible. i’ve been working on my self. and watching this video.. while you were listing your authentic self. i actually am all of it. and i’ll continue to be the best because there is no limit. but is really incredible of how i am all of them.

+Actualized.org - One thing I've found....it's kinda "lonely" being my "authentic self"....but I'm sure that it's for very good reason. Eventually, the Universe will bring me those that compliment my "authentic self" all in due time. For now, I'm enjoying ME and getting to know, rediscover and reinvent my SELF.
Gogeta SSGOD - Thank you for your reply. When a caterpillar makes it's transformation into the butterfly...it is in it's own personal space alone for which the magic takes place. In my life, it isn't that I don't express my authentic self...i do. I just notice that it isn't an ear, here and there or a camera to stare back and talk to for you...rather it's possible I need an audience. This is my personal-inner-vision-quest. Making money...not so good. Making certain people feel awesome. Not so bad. The caterpillar has spoken. ; -)> (peace)
Leo thanks for quoting...."You only have that one life and it only last for so long, and that length of time isn't very long"....what a great reminder! enjoy your videos!! Thanks
You have answered my confusion in a matter of days..I was lost in my Islam religion, then I started to turn towards Christianity as i always edmired Jesus but even that was still not completing my all of the sudden spiritual awakening. As they say I was waking up at random times at night 3:33 or 3:03 and constantly seeing 11, 7,19, 3... what they say has exactly been my journey so far but believing in god the higher power we don’t really need to associate ourself with a certain radical group as I think they all are designed to manipulate to an extend to create fear is good but not saying god will punish you but he’s also merciful as it doesn’t make any sense he will or he won’t. Anyway thank you so much Leo
I love hearing him speak about so many things that I go through day to day and just hearing him talk about literally everything that I struggle with makes me feel good that I’m not the only one.
I am 15 and with many of these videos I find that I already know this. For example the third level of the self- the realization that there is nothing but your conscientiousness in the present moment, which is a little more generalized version of what Leo said but still applies here and everywhere else. I actually talked about it to my classmates today and the more I talk to people the more I realize that I am the only one who is thinking about this shit. I don´t really know what to do. I started watching Leo about a month ago and I believe he is the wisest person that makes content on youtube. I am lonely a lot of the time and I have no real friends. I don´t even know what I should talk to people about.
Awesome vid! Very good stuff. I'm going to have to watch this again several times. I watched the other video about How To Be Yourself and it raised questions for me that I feel this video answered very well. I feel like I've heard these ideas before, but somehow I didn't understand. It seems like some ideas require repeated exposure to, in different ways in order to be fully understood. I've definitely been one of those who has said "that's not me" in reply to suggestions about how to improve myself. From now on, that won't be me. :)
By listening to this psychology of the authentic self and obeying it, realising there is no self, customising this psychology, you will remain the same and never change. He's saying not to stay the same so you stay the same.
Wow! I don’t usually comment on videos but I just discovered you and can’t stop myself from watching your videos one after another. The way you analyse everything and put it in to words is absolutely incredible and has really helped me view myself from a whole new perspective. For a while I’ve been really working on different aspects of my life and my personality unconsciously, but now I have realised that it all comes down to one simple yet very complex idea of finding “my authentic self”. Thankyou so much for opening my mind and inspiring me and many other people. I know this video is old but I am sooooooo happy to have come across them. Thankyou thankyou thankyou
Hey, I wanted to thank you, for every single video you uploaded. Thank you! From now on, I'll follow evvery your video, and thank god I accidently find you! :)
This is so incredible, I have been thinking of all these questions for past 1 year and here are the answers. Thank you Leon, you are extremely inspiring and now I am charged up to another level. Its difficult to express in words how grateful I am but all i can say is, I have been through tough times and sleepless nights. I did not know, whom to speak with and no one understood what the hell I was talking about. But today I am so relieved and thanks to you and this moment.
1 tablespoon baking soda 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide Splash of water Tube of fluoride toothpaste Mix that solution in a cup - brush teeth with fluoride until dissolved - then put your brush in the solution DONT RINSE WITH WATER - swirl in solution - then use more paste - continue & repeat for 10-15 minutes. Do that 2 times a week.
Worthy every penny of the max donation on your website. Thank you Leo for directing my mind to a route of 'enlightenment'. Your objectivity resonates, cultivating faith in the universal truths that you relay; your patience breeds confidence, in the midst of scepticism. Please keep up the good work - your efforts are invaluable.
I had a glimpse of it. One day I walked down to the basement and all of a sudden I had a rush of energy I felt that could accomplish anything I set my mind to. No doubt what so ever. This is the state I wanted for the longest time. But I didn't understand what this state was. At the time, I thought it came from someone else because of how much they believed in who I actually was. And I started depending on them and allow my insecurities get the better of me. And the feeling drained away. But now I understand that is my true self and this only comes from me. Now I am getting myself back to that point.
I not only get what you are saying, I've live this message and have been able to grow in a manner that I welcome all of life as it unfolds and bring me wonderful lessons in all. Be this all perceived as "negative" or "positive". At 57 I have decided to study another career, in addition to 3 others studied already, a masters degree in social work. Life's is a wonderful journey! Thank you for sharing this video!
I am afraid. If I always stare at u for some time every day,I will fall in love with u Just kidding,I read something similar thing about Authentic yourself ,which is easy to believe, bot not easy to be.
I'm so grateful for you sharing these videos to the public!!!...I just discovered them and these lessons have easily become my *go-to* for each and every topic I'm seeking more clarity and insight on. Some people need to realize that no one agrees with everything another says all the time; you take away what rings true, what resonates with you. Disagree or agree, you are expanding yourself just by forming your own personal views....thanks, Leo
act like a wasteman? that's not me. sex any girl? nah that's not me. lips any girl? nah that's not me. i used to wear gucci, i put it all in the bin cause that's not me.
Leo, I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and have noticed a change in my life. Mostly positive but I guess there needs to be a negative to balance it out. Enjoying the positive, the negative however is.. idk how to describe it. I've been letting my ego show because I was once a kid who let people walk over me and what not, now wherever I go to avoid that I show my ego. Maintaining my upright posture, walking like a own the place, and making eye contact with people. I may come off as intimidating to some but really I'm a deep and easy going person. The problem I've encountered has been when another "me" walks in the room, a battle of the egos. No matter what the other ego tries to do I maintain my cool and keep doing my own thing and not letting his ego control mine. However, I feel like this constant "battling" of egos wears me down inside and makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong.. I tend not to show any emotion out in public but do smile at the sight of animals and babies. I'm having a hard time smiling at people who don't seem happy and especially those whose egos show. I've had some instances where I have smiled at the ego but that ego consistently tries to battle against mine. Such as today, an ego with sunglasses came in with his girlfriend to a coffee shop I was studying at and they constantly kept attacking me by making remarks about me, I would show them I could hear what they were saying by picking my coffee cup up and looking at them but the guy with sunglasses was persistent. He then, what I felt was an attack on my ego, laid across his gf in a way to demonstrate his power. It was just a constant battle for about 30 minutes until I noticed a family didnt have a place to sit and I got up from my area to allow them to sit. I know if I would have made a remark to the guy about his sunglasses like, "It's pretty sunny in here isn't it big dog?", I would have stopped the comments or at least slowed them down.. It's not really a question but I have encountered this. I like the person I'm becoming but I have had people, such as my mother, call me abusive and ego centric. What do I make of this?
***** You're wasting an awful lot of mental energy on silly, petty things. Your life will be over soon. Is this really what you want to spend your time on this Earth doing? Playing these silly games?
It's very mentally exhausting and really I don't want to play petty games.. I come from a place where I was once isolated, I'm mainly mental and I find myself overthinking things.. I just want to live a normal life where I don't intrude on others and where I don't let others intrude on me but at the same time being a good person. Most of the time I want to be left alone but I also thrive for human interaction, someone who understands where I'm coming from and I know what I'm doing is only pushing people away but I can't help it. I want to destroy this defense mechanism I have.
When I was listening for the first time I thought the same but then I realised that it has a purpose: it's for people to identify, and it's important because if you don't hear something that relates then you might not think you're not in the same boat when you actually are. The more examples he gave the more I realised that I actually had this problem
Leo, this video has blown my mind. I love that after every video I watch, I have learned so many new things that I start researching even deeper and crave more.
Leo, i truly find your videos helpful and stuff, but your videos should not be so long. Everyone gets the point with 3-4 examples, you don't have to make so many of them and get to the point faster. People with attention problems find it hard to focus that long. Just a tip to improve your videos! Thanks for help tho!
Ukkostimi Watch his video "be fucking patient", anything that's worth learning is worth taking some time to learn it. And at least for me, I like when he goes in depth with these videos and doesn't just say the main points and that's it.
These videos just make my head hurt. Too much analyzing and shit. Just be a simple man. Be who you are. Don't change because someone doesn't like you. Do what you want. Do what you love. And you will find the right people to love.
If you want to go really far in life, you will have to analyze your life a lot. Would you tell a NASA scientist that he's done too much analysis in planning a trip to Mars? No. Well, your life should be more important to you than a NASA mission to Mars.
Actualized.org what do you mean go really far in life? Of course life takes analyzing but this is over analyzing in my opinion. You don't have to over analyze everything to go far in life. You're right. You will have to analyze a lot but not too much. You will just drive yourself insane. Be authentic and real. Be who you are. And for some people a nasa mission to Mars is their whole life so that is very important to them. Others they could care less. I personally think that over time you will find who you are. Life will force you to be who you truly are. No video or another person is gonna to change that
***** Without deliberately designing your life, you will get what most people get: which is a very shitty and miserable life. Far below your potential. Thought must be put into this endeavor.
Like I said before, I agree that life will take analyzing. For me this complicates the problem of finding yourself even more. Different strokes for different folks I suppose
Very nice presentation about "Authentic Self" Worth watching. The ideas presented here shall set you free if you pay attention and apply them in your life. I wish you well in life!
This guy talks 100% true things, as I can understand overwhelming majority of his ideas totally based on my self life-experience. To be more specific, my life has been really changing so interestingly during the last period of time . I am doing my masters in the UK beginning from the last September. I am an international student. When I first arrived in the UK, my life was like a sheet because of too much problems (health, psychological, social, no communication skills; or more specifically I've lost almost all of them somewhere, financial, sexual, self-image, confidence and almost all others this guys talking about, and may be even more unfortunatelly) gained before. To say it in another words, my life was like a literally hell full of pain filling literally all moment the time. I hated the life and always used to have a filling like a huuuuge disappointment and sadness. In this part of my life there happened too too many interesting things in my life, but I will skip it, as it really needs a lot of space and time to speak about more in detail. And so, just several days ago I realized, that my life has changed towards the right track I always wanted to...THIS was the reason of being in the territory literally full of sheet. Briefly speaking, I found myself. Now I am in a kind of territory needs to be fulfilled with a lots of love and a lots of more exciting experiences. Thanks you bro, as you also played a significant role to happen things like that. I firstly listened your speech several days ago when I just began the process of "waking up"... )))
this is truely enlightening, im glad there are very rare people like you who dedicate their time to helping other people know truth in very deep levels
This started off slow, I almost switched to a different video even though I have watched many of your videos and no how good they are. Then we hit the 19:00 mark and it became awesome. I want to meet my authentic self.
I fRACKING love you! Lol....thanks for taking your time to share your in depth perceptions and ideologies! I really resonate with what you're saying. I've actually had a lot of these realizations myself, but I've never constructed such a strong and true concept the way you just have. You've really given me something solid for me to visualize and hold onto. You did a great job reiterating it also! I believe we all know this deep down. We all just get stuck....Live little leaves fallen from the tree of life...floating down a river...we get stuck in all of the snares that nature throws at us! We just need to learn how to ride the CORRECT currents!
Dear Leo, This was an awsome video. I enjoyed a lot all the concepts on it. I feel like you are getting deeper as time goes by. I've been watching your videos for sometime and I feel very thankful because it really changed me, and made me a better person. I am a neurosurgeon, and in my Medical career I found out that most doctors don't realize how powerful the way you look to life is! Keep on track and congratulations! You are no doubt a bright mind out there!
Dude!!! THANK YOU! I feel like "is this/that me" is my unique war. It is SO helpful to know other people struggle with their authentic "identity". My past had definitely become my "identity", and I do have a vision/ideal I wish to become, which almost has to include my past just because of the level of 'hell' it was. The idea that I am the one that is self actualizing my mind and body is fantastic, and (as difficult as it can be) the idea that "I" change is imperative to understand, I think. I recently heard a 'theory' that you cannot be what you believe as those beliefs are limiting and that has helped when I can remember that. I can totally agree by experience that stagnation is poison, and it truly does make you rot from the inside.
I started a blog, best decision I ever made. You can do something and earn some coffee money. Most people say how it is possible to find ideas, because they can't, but you get inspiration and have ability to think and create new shiny things. Blogging made me a better person. I know myself better and I know how to wrtite cleaner and in interesting way (in my home language).
Hi Leo! I decided to check my TH-cam feed today and saw this video of yours. It's exactly what I needed to hear today. It's amazing when that happens. This definition of the authentic self is so spot on. So much of what we consider "us" as a personality, is just conditioned synaptic connections in our brains anyway. So we can truly be any self we put our habit of thought and action too. Thanks again for this insight and much needed reminder. You have a way with these points I find refreshing.
I had a period of time when I did exactly what u did. And I was so happy like I thought I was a god. And I forgot it in two days. Then I found ur videos man. I'm happy there are people like you
Interesting. The 'being authentic would be...' that triggered me was: 'always positive with no negative thoughts.' Agree with all other traits. Thanks for showing me where i need to focus on.
YAY.. you said the third one, I'm happy now :) since I was young I tried to be everything, and I tried, I wanted to be good at everything, be the best in the world. but I was limited by myself. I tried to be something... and by being something I realised that being something would neve be everything and them, I became nothing. and in the void I found everything.
Wow, this is the thing that have been bugging me all this time when I think of self-development and wether it'll take away qualities that some people love about me or make me not me anymore, not unique with my own distinct human being flaws. Thanks to Leo, now I start to realise there are general qualities that are tools, it doesn't make me any less special, and maybe what people love about is not my flaws, but they love me for my best qualities despite my flaws.
Leo, you're amazing! I listen to your videos as I get myself ready for my day, and it's honestly better than going to a shrink sometimes. So thank you for your words of wisdom, I can only speak for myself, but your words have had a massive effect on me.
You’re brilliant this video is so helpful . I have struggled so much with trying to understand why my life feels so hard and I feel so stuck and this literally explains everything and just watching it made me feel so relieved. Thank you
The authentic you is who you will become after self-actualization work Step 1 Authentic-self is your most evolved self, and your highest potential The best version of yourself Step 2 "Who you are is constantly changing" Step 3 There is no such thing as you at all.
Thank you Leo. This morning I've been thinking about the authentic self. I've always valued seeing somebody else come off as totally authentic. There have been moments in my life where i would do something, and i would feel 100% authentic... its hard to describe. I was wondering today if there really is such thing as a TRULY authentic self and how I can get there. This video was very insightful. Just one example, when you said that the truly authentic self isn't something that we can really achieve in totality, and that its something we have to constantly work towards. I think you're right about that. I saw that you have a second video on authenticity. I think I'll watch that too. Thanks again.
Thanks dude. Ive always had this yearning to be and to do something great although i took the easy confortable way so far and ive felt i lost myself but ive decided its time to stop believing all the ilusions about myself and start on the journey of finding my real self and be the best version of me that i can be.
I might sound dumb but from what I understood all this stuff is sorta like quality vs quantity. A "comfortable" life is mostly pleasure through quantities of low quality (which leads to mind decay) while a self actualized life has a lot of quality and a bit less of low quality.
Really enjoyed this video. I am only 20 years old and I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now. I will start leaving comments with feedback :) I struggle with a lot of things you talk about but I am trying to be more aware all the time. You probably don't need reassurance but thank you for your time spent making videos I really appreciate it and I am sure others do too.
SUMMARY - Actualized - Understanding The Authentic Self - Discovering Who You Really Are
ego defense mechanism is to say doing certain things is not me
eg. leading is not me, being creative is not me, talking dirty in bed is not me, having strong work ethic is not me, etc.
is it me or is it not me - game is a dangerous thing
you have to get over this game
whatever you think is authentically not you cuts the possibility to be this off
---> self image video
your authentic you is what you become when you are fully actualized, its an ideal you never 100% become it
2. Level
who you are is constantly changing
in a real sense there is no real you
3.
there is no such thing that is scientifically you
---> enlightenment videos
The authentic you is the self actualized you
lazy self vs. best self
Till your 20s you naturally grow, get ideas, get adjusted to the world, after that many people decide to stuck in comfort not taking no aditional labor, pushing comfort zones, no additional labor
people saying its not notural for them to do something us this as excuse to stay in comfort
self actualization is not a luxury but it is required to develop your psyche 15:30
Once you grew up You know that you have so much more potential, that you can have so much impact on people
To live a self actualized life you have to work on yourself, challenging yourself
The greatest fullfillment you get from life are not low level pleassures like food but high level pleasures of self actualization work like growing yourself, pushing yourself and conquering obstacles, being on a heros journey, helping other people, living your passion, sharing your gifts
you are growing into your authentic self when you push yourself every day
19:00
Your authentic self would be confident, assertive, disciplined, internally grounded, emotionally stable, on purpose in life, deeply passionate about everything you do, having zero limiting beliefs, knowing you can achieve everything, having a strong sense of power, having a strong self esteem and success, ,knowing you deserve it, having the desire to explore all in life, being fully self expressive, not holding back for anyone, having zero fears, tackling any kind of challenge in life without fears, being 100% positive, having no negative thoughts, seeing the world as a beatiful amazing positive place and wanting to make it even better,
being social and outgoing, being generous to yourself with your time and the work you are doing, doing work that promotes you and other people, it means being selfless, being value driven, by higher consciousness,, being in high consciousness state like fullfilling your dreams, being idealistic driven
being authentic mean being healthy, sober, fit, lean, energetic, full of vitality, muscular, sexual, highly sexual, comftable with your sexuality,
accepting the opposite sex, and also being able to changing sides (feminine - masculine) and you are comftable with that,
it means being completely minded and nothing offends you, you are open to be wrong,
having ability of how you approach life, having noble thoughts, not patty thoughts 24:00
If you cant imagine being your authentic self this is because you have lots of social conditioning
You still are unique, having unique strenths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes as your authentic self
you are not you, you are being you. you are not a noun, you are a verb. You are a process always evolving
Realize that the self image you have consisting of a bunch of beliefs like how good you think you are in business, in realtionships, as a human being, how much value you have in society these are all beliefs#
your self image has been shaped by random influences from outside, by books, shows, family, friends etc.
People are attached to their self image, proud of it, this limits their potential
When you do enlightenment work you realize that your identity is just concept, a figmentt of your imagination
everything that is a thought in your brain is conceptualization of reality 35:00
its a fiction of what is out there
!who you think you really are is fiction created by your brain, your ego
you will discover that there is no authentic self just live living itself and you are pure awareness of life
this leads to the idea of no-self
you are none of what you think you are
its makes you tensioned, selfish, petty, blocks you to preserve, fight for your self image 37:00
If you let go of your selfish desires, fears etc. you expand out, you flow with life, being productive
Whipe of the grime bit by bit until you can trully shine
Thanks Leo
Sebastian thank you for taking the time to type this post. Priceless!

Thank you so much 🙏

DO THAT! Go for it!
Leo, please pin RIP EVO's comment to the top of the comments.
RIP EVO L
Truth is what never change!! Your thoughts change, your emotions change, your circumstances change, your Body change, everything is changing except one thing, the observer in you. Thanks LEO you're work change the World, please go on.
i get emotional. Leo has really a power to chabge the world
To me: authentic-self=present, ideal-self=future, conventional-self=past
True
Wow that actually makes so much sense. Thankyou.
Great! That's what I'm talking about! :D
Deborah Otero Sorry but your pic drew my attention you are so beautiful! No worries I am a straight female :) I agree with you me too I am watching Leo's videos 'religiously'. All the best.
Did you keep with him until now?
Every time I watch these kinds videos, I feel more connected to who I am meant to be. Thank you for guiding us on this path of self-discovery. 🌺
I just discovered you, already overwhelmed with trying to see what was missing in my life, and I think you really hit the nail on the head. I'm addicted. I listen to you all night before I go to sleep and it's really been touching my soul. Thank you so much for existing. 😌
One of the few channels that actually promotes self-improvement. Good job man!
how do you remember all of this at once
He's Enlightened
Once you reach enlightenment these things are clear to you. If you are on this video you are awakening and you are on the path to this enlightenment also and will see it in time. You can only perceive that if which you are the same vibration of.
That’s not me!
@@trustpinoy9891 haha
This is by far the best video on personal development that I have seen
I've been coming back to this video after so many years, realized it's so underrated and it's really freeing, this concept of an authentic self being a verb.
This is so profound. One of the most eye opening and mind boggling videos I've watched on you. You're amazing, Leo :)
But Leo.. that's not me!
yessss i swear , when he was talking about self actualization things i was sure that this is not the best version of me . if these things mean that i'm self actualized , so maybe i just dont want to
A life lived with passion and authenticity is really the only true way of being.
Blessings to you
I was just thinking this!
i think you are gifted to help people , even your voice is so relaxing . keep it up you got your self a new subscriber ♥
Thank you. Thank you.
I've been blind, but now I see. I've been enlightened. Thank you Leo. Can't wait to wipe off all that grime.
I found these videos 7 years later and they are helping me today. You are very wise man, appreciate everything I learned from you in these videos
8 years later? How are you!?
@@SherifatSuliemon-lw6ls It's Hard to give you a short answer. Still not drinking or smoking and still on my personal development journey. I guess it lasts a lifetime. What I find it hard (even at 41 years old) is to fully let go of my past. But I went the health and fitness way all these years back and stuck with it. Here where I live and I want to inspire other people to quit their addictions and to take care of themselves.
@@thomasparg1981 Okay, you don't have to have an answer, my intention is to help you see if where you are right now align's with your commitments years ago.

@@SherifatSuliemon-lw6ls Thank you. I will do my best going forward. Good luck to you as well on your chosen path.
This is good and free?????.
meditate, try to stop living in the confines of circumstance, and be your authentic self
great stuff leo keep it coming.
Great explanations , its just what I needed , intelligent and to the point. Love it
Thank you Leo.
I am wondering, too, to be honest :D
A lot of people just write down a rough outline of what they are going to speak about and improvise HOW they say it, so maybe that is what he does, too.
humanyoda
A curious mind will wonder this!
Yeah, this is super hard to do... it's a mix between really knowing the topic and having produced 100s of videos over years.
because he understands what he is saying that much. he is passionate about it. when you are passionate you just do.
this is incredible. i’ve been working on my self. and watching this video.. while you were listing your authentic self. i actually am all of it. and i’ll continue to be the best because there is no limit. but is really incredible of how i am all of them.

"ALL THOSE YEARS,LIVING THE LIFE OF SOMEONE,I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW"
You have answered my confusion in a matter of days..I was lost in my Islam religion, then I started to turn towards Christianity as i always edmired Jesus but even that was still not completing my all of the sudden spiritual awakening.
My ex called me crap in bed. I realise now that that's not me.

Skip to 6:34 to get over his "thats not me" stuff
Lmao
Nah i thought it was pretty great haha
Actually, that's so me it helps a lot
He's saying not to stay the same so you stay the same.
can anybody please explain this to me in a couple of sentences. I a running low on time.
trakba you don’t exist
Take one shot everytime he says "that's not me"

Hey, I wanted to thank you, for every single video you uploaded. Thank you! From now on, I'll follow evvery your video, and thank god I accidently find you! :)
You're welcome :)

Mix that solution in a cup - brush teeth with fluoride until dissolved - then put your brush in the solution DONT RINSE WITH WATER - swirl in solution - then use more paste - continue & repeat for 10-15 minutes. Do that 2 times a week.

Leo. you should be president
Watch his new videos, you will feel like you Need him to be our next president
I not only get what you are saying, I've live this message and have been able to grow in a manner that I welcome all of life as it unfolds and bring me wonderful lessons in all. Be this all perceived as "negative" or "positive". At 57 I have decided to study another career, in addition to 3 others studied already, a masters degree in social work. Life's is a wonderful journey! Thank you for sharing this video!
I am afraid. If I always stare at u for some time every day,I will fall in love with u
Just kidding,I read something similar thing about Authentic yourself ,which is easy to believe, bot not easy to be.
My manz
***** Keep following the videos and taking action. You'll get there in baby-steps. Adopt personal development as a hobby.
Too... much... examples...
loved all the rest tho ^^
I am a super human, God has blessed me and I understood every phoneme that escaped this man's oral contraption.
the point is giving too much examples to understand and embrace deeply
Thanks for help tho!
shut the fuck up
Somebody got triggered
Disagree... Expand your 10 sec ability to focus.
i'll work on it
Ukkostimi Watch his video "be fucking patient", anything that's worth learning is worth taking some time to learn it. And at least for me, I like when he goes in depth with these videos and doesn't just say the main points and that's it.
I thought I was going through some sort of existential crisis but I realized that I’m finding my authentic self. And now I’m happy!
What you are saying is its hard so you wont do it?
This man along with 2 minor influences laid the path to show me how to work and become the person I wanted to be. Thank you for that Leo
I've watched A LOT of self-help videos over the past month, and this is easily one of the best that I've seen.
We just need to learn how to ride the CORRECT currents!
sac-cid-ananda . Our authentic self is full of complete knowledge , bliss and renunciation- vedic teachings.
Dear Leo,
This was an awsome video.
Cannot tell how I needed to watch this. Simply, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THAN YOU LEO!!!!
Check your feed in the future, more good things will come ;)
I had a period of time when I did exactly what u did.
For me this is the best of your videos I ve seen. Thank you Leo, from Chile.
YAY.. you said the third one, I'm happy now :)
since I was young I tried to be everything, and I tried, I wanted to be good at everything, be the best in the world.
but I was limited by myself.
My authenticity is allowing myself to be expressed without fear of judgement or disapproval.
Thank you
This video connected so many different ideas into a single truth, answering so many questions at once. Thank you!
The authentic you is who you will become after self-actualization work
Step 1
Authentic-self is your most evolved self, and your highest potential
The best version of yourself
Step 2
"Who you are is constantly changing"
Step 3
There is no such thing as you at all.
