SUMMARY - Actualized - Understanding The Authentic Self - Discovering Who You Really Are
ego defense mechanism is to say doing certain things is not me
eg. leading is not me, being creative is not me, talking dirty in bed is not me, having strong work ethic is not me, etc.
is it me or is it not me - game is a dangerous thing
you have to get over this game
whatever you think is authentically not you cuts the possibility to be this off
    ---> self image video
your authentic you is what you become when you are fully actualized, its an ideal you never 100% become it
    2. Level
who you are is constantly changing
in a real sense there is no real you
    3.
there is no such thing that is scientifically you
    ---> enlightenment videos
The authentic you is the self actualized you
    lazy self vs. best self
Till your 20s you naturally grow, get ideas, get adjusted to the world, after that many people decide to stuck in comfort not taking no aditional labor, pushing comfort zones, no additional labor
people saying its not notural for them to do something us this as excuse to stay in comfort
self actualization is not a luxury but it is required to develop your psyche 15:30
Once you grew up You know that you have so much more potential, that you can have so much impact on people
To live a self actualized life you have to work on yourself, challenging yourself
The greatest fullfillment you get from life are not low level pleassures like food but high level pleasures of self actualization work like growing yourself, pushing yourself and conquering obstacles, being on a heros journey, helping other people, living your passion, sharing your gifts
you are growing into your authentic self when you push yourself every day
    19:00
Your authentic self would be confident, assertive, disciplined, internally grounded, emotionally stable, on purpose in life, deeply passionate about everything you do, having zero limiting beliefs, knowing you can achieve everything, having a strong sense of power, having a strong self esteem and success, ,knowing you deserve it, having the desire to explore all in life, being fully self expressive, not holding back for anyone, having zero fears, tackling any kind of challenge in life without fears, being 100% positive, having no negative thoughts, seeing the world as a beatiful amazing positive place and wanting to make it even better,
being social and outgoing, being generous to yourself with your time and the work you are doing, doing work that promotes you and other people, it means being selfless, being value driven, by higher consciousness,, being in high consciousness state like fullfilling your dreams, being idealistic driven
being authentic mean being healthy, sober, fit, lean, energetic, full of vitality, muscular, sexual, highly sexual, comftable with your sexuality,
accepting the opposite sex, and also being able to changing sides (feminine - masculine) and you are comftable with that,
it means being completely minded and nothing offends you, you are open to be wrong,
having ability of how you approach life, having noble thoughts, not patty thoughts 24:00
If you cant imagine being your authentic self this is because you have lots of social conditioning
You still are unique, having unique strenths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes as your authentic self
you are not you, you are being you. you are not a noun, you are a verb. You are a process always evolving
Realize that the self image you have consisting of a bunch of beliefs like how good you think you are in business, in realtionships, as a human being, how much value you have in society these are all beliefs#
your self image has been shaped by random influences from outside, by books, shows, family, friends etc.
People are attached to their self image, proud of it, this limits their potential
When you do enlightenment work you realize that your identity is just concept, a figmentt of your imagination
everything that is a thought in your brain is conceptualization of reality 35:00
its a fiction of what is out there
!who you think you really are is fiction created by your brain, your ego
you will discover that there is no authentic self just live living itself and you are pure awareness of life
this leads to the idea of no-self
you are none of what you think you are
its makes you tensioned, selfish, petty, blocks you to preserve, fight for your self image 37:00
If you let go of your selfish desires, fears etc. you expand out, you flow with life, being productive
Whipe of the grime bit by bit until you can trully shine
    Thanks Leo

Detaching from ego has been one of the major challenges for me. It's scary to let go of ego even though I know I will be much happier. I like how you explained that we are just awareness living a life experience. Great video!

Leo speaks the truth in this video. After working a job that provided a "comfortable" life for over a decade I started to suffer debilitating headaches. I started hating the job before the headaches, but I was earning more money than I ever believed I could. The money forced me to stay as long as I could. After about 26 months of pure hell from headaches I threw in the towel. Point is I forced myself to continue doing something I didn't want to be doing just for money.
My body began to break down (headaches). At the time I didn't realize where the headaches were coming from, but I know now that it was my body's way of saying this is not what you are supposed to be doing. Leo explains that your mind and soul start to rot from the inside out. Unfortunately I believe a lot of people will not learn this from this video, they will probably have to live through it to realize how much of a reality this truly is. Trust me, it's real. Best advice is do what you want to do. There's gotta be something you always wanted to do but EVERYONE told you it will not pay the bills. Screw it! Live YOUR life! DO THAT! Go for it!

Hi Leo! Just wanted to say thank you so much for devoting your time and energy into sharing this information in such a clear, genuine and practical way. I am definitely at a stage in my life of personal growth and development and although there have been many awesome encounters with motivators and inspiring people on my journey, you have been by far the most influential for me on you tube. I watch a new video everyday and no matter what the topic is, I always walk away from my laptop feeling more empowered and confident than when I started. Wish you continued success in all of your current and future endeavors.

Woah Leo, that was one of the best videos I ever saw in my life.Your Definition of the "Authentic Self" is just spot on.. I actually can feel what you mean by what you meant by being the "Actualized self" its like higher consciousness, its like being aware of your actions, every minute every second..The Example of "Sun with Grime" is just so perfect.. thank you so much... makes me realize that I have been soo stupid all my life.. and post watching this video its like how much better it could have been... but its never too late.. from this point on I realized that your life can actually go to soo many different directions...Cant thank you enough.. cheers buddy.. many thanks.

Leo, I relate to you a lot. I've been calling it "studying happiness" for a while, what I've been doing, but I see now that it could also be called "studying enlightenment". I feel that... what you are trying to achieve by making these videos is very similar to what I want to achieve. Helping people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Helping people break out, break free, and reach their "highest" (though as you mentioned, unlimited) potential. I'm still traveling on a path I made for myself, and taking care of some things I really want to do, but this is the kind of stuff I think and write about all the time. I think I've written more essays now, than I ever wrote in school. This is the kind of work I envision myself doing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in all these videos.

You mentioned that who we were in the past in not our authentic self. But who we can possibly be is our authentic self. When I was a child, especially around 12, I was good in school, bold, expressive, funny, a confident public speaker, social, creative, passionate and loved learning. Are you saying that this was not my authentic self, and my authentic self is even more of what I was at this age? If so, this is a very exciting prospect. I don't think our potential should be limited by youth. I think that our imagination of what is possible is just the beginning of what is possible, and the more we act into, and become the initial aspects of what is possible, the more possibility we are capable of imagining and moving into, and our bodies will transform to fit the authentic self that is capable of fully expressing what we imagine ourselves to be in our highest form.

When you imagine yourself as just more life in a world of life, cells living and the system of the body living through that everything, it makes it a lot more important and precious to want to help other life. The problem I see in myself isn't a lack of understand or willingness to understand all the concepts you explain in your videos.. or even a lack of belief. It's more like a lack of motivation, how do I motivate myself to practice and implement your ideals more into my life? I know I want a better more positive mindset, I know I want to let go of my self image and realize that i am only pure awareness of a universal reality, but taking steps into that direction is always difficult for me! I'm introspective in the sense that I know my rationalizations, I can articulate and understand them.. I'm aware of the hidden thoughts I have on myself and know that they're having a negative impact on my mindset, but i'm refusing to "let go" i'm refusing to take away the power these thoughts have on me. I also struggle with impulse control! what actual non theatrical steps can I take to really force myself into getting the confidence and strength to adopt new ideals?

There is so much gold in these videos!
its incredible how many elements of my life have and improved drastically since watching, contemplating and then putting these ideas into practice over the last few months.
Do yourself a favour watch all these with an open mind see what resonates and start putting it into your everyday life. there is so much crap out there with various chatlatons telling you how to better yourself with various techniques etc. This guy is most definitely not one of those. I've had anxiety and depression for over 15 years, had various therapy and medication from some top guys in their field spent massive $$$ trying to establish where its was coming from and how to dissolve it. Ive certainly seen improvement with the other stuff i was doing but seriously, this guy covers a lot of what the top therapists are covering plus points towards all the enlightenment stuff too which is major... really major!! This is good and free?????.

In the end I figure a deep understanding of something allows one to speak in a constant, passionate flow, as the topic becomes second nature. Gogeta SSGOD - Thank you for your reply. When a caterpillar makes it's transformation into the butterfly...it is in it's own personal space alone for which the magic takes place. In my life, it isn't that I don't express my authentic self...i do. I just notice that it isn't an ear, here and there or a camera to stare back and talk to for you...rather it's possible I need an audience. This is my personal-inner-vision-quest. Making money...not so good. Making certain people feel awesome. Not so bad. The caterpillar has spoken. ; -)> (peace)

You have answered my confusion in a matter of days..I was lost in my Islam religion, then I started to turn towards Christianity as i always edmired Jesus but even that was still not completing my all of the sudden spiritual awakening. As they say I was waking up at random times at night 3:33 or 3:03 and constantly seeing 11, 7,19, 3... what they say has exactly been my journey so far but believing in god the higher power we don’t really need to associate ourself with a certain radical group as I think they all are designed to manipulate to an extend to create fear is good but not saying god will punish you but he’s also merciful as it doesn’t make any sense he will or he won’t. Anyway thank you so much Leo

I am 15 and with many of these videos I find that I already know this.
For example the third level of the self- the realization that there is nothing but your conscientiousness in the present moment, which is a little more generalized version of what Leo said but still applies here and everywhere else. I actually talked about it to my classmates today and the more I talk to people the more I realize that I am the only one who is thinking about this shit. I don´t really know what to do. I started watching Leo about a month ago and I believe he is the wisest person that makes content on youtube. I am lonely a lot of the time and I have no real friends. I don´t even know what I should talk to people about.

Awesome vid! Very good stuff. I'm going to have to watch this again several times. I watched the other video about How To Be Yourself and it raised questions for me that I feel this video answered very well. I feel like I've heard these ideas before, but somehow I didn't understand. It seems like some ideas require repeated exposure to, in different ways in order to be fully understood. I've definitely been one of those who has said "that's not me" in reply to suggestions about how to improve myself. From now on, that won't be me. :)

This is the state I wanted for the longest time. But I didn't understand what this state was. At the time, I thought it came from someone else because of how much they believed in who I actually was. And I started depending on them and allow my insecurities get the better of me. And the feeling drained away. But now I understand that is my true self and this only comes from me. Now I am getting myself back to that point.

Leo, I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and have noticed a change in my life. Mostly positive but I guess there needs to be a negative to balance it out. Enjoying the positive, the negative however is.. idk how to describe it.
I've been letting my ego show because I was once a kid who let people walk over me and what not, now wherever I go to avoid that I show my ego. Maintaining my upright posture, walking like a own the place, and making eye contact with people. I may come off as intimidating to some but really I'm a deep and easy going person. The problem I've encountered has been when another "me" walks in the room, a battle of the egos. No matter what the other ego tries to do I maintain my cool and keep doing my own thing and not letting his ego control mine. However, I feel like this constant "battling" of egos wears me down inside and makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong.. I tend not to show any emotion out in public but do smile at the sight of animals and babies. I'm having a hard time smiling at people who don't seem happy and especially those whose egos show. I've had some instances where I have smiled at the ego but that ego consistently tries to battle against mine. Such as today, an ego with sunglasses came in with his girlfriend to a coffee shop I was studying at and they constantly kept attacking me by making remarks about me, I would show them I could hear what they were saying by picking my coffee cup up and looking at them but the guy with sunglasses was persistent. He then, what I felt was an attack on my ego, laid across his gf in a way to demonstrate his power. It was just a constant battle for about 30 minutes until I noticed a family didnt have a place to sit and I got up from my area to allow them to sit. I know if I would have made a remark to the guy about his sunglasses like, "It's pretty sunny in here isn't it big dog?", I would have stopped the comments or at least slowed them down..
It's not really a question but I have encountered this. I like the person I'm becoming but I have had people, such as my mother, call me abusive and ego centric. What do I make of this?

    • @MaxValdesENT
      @MaxValdesENT 10 ปีที่แล้ว

It's very mentally exhausting and really I don't want to play petty games.. I come from a place where I was once isolated, I'm mainly mental and I find myself overthinking things.. I just want to live a normal life where I don't intrude on others and where I don't let others intrude on me but at the same time being a good person.
Most of the time I want to be left alone but I also thrive for human interaction, someone who understands where I'm coming from and I know what I'm doing is only pushing people away but I can't help it. I want to destroy this defense mechanism I have.

If you want to go really far in life, you will have to analyze your life a lot. Would you tell a NASA scientist that he's done too much analysis in planning a trip to Mars? No. Well, your life should be more important to you than a NASA mission to Mars.

    • @FlyinColorz
      @FlyinColorz 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Actualized.org what do you mean go really far in life? Of course life takes analyzing but this is over analyzing in my opinion. You don't have to over analyze everything to go far in life. You're right. You will have to analyze a lot but not too much. You will just drive yourself insane. Be authentic and real. Be who you are. And for some people a nasa mission to Mars is their whole life so that is very important to them. Others they could care less. I personally think that over time you will find who you are. Life will force you to be who you truly are. No video or another person is gonna to change that

This guy talks 100% true things, as I can understand overwhelming majority of his ideas totally based on my self life-experience. To be more specific, my life has been really changing so interestingly during the last period of time . I am doing my masters in the UK beginning from the last September. I am an international student. When I first arrived in the UK, my life was like a sheet because of too much problems (health, psychological, social, no communication skills; or more specifically I've lost almost all of them somewhere, financial, sexual, self-image, confidence and almost all others this guys talking about, and may be even more unfortunatelly) gained before. To say it in another words, my life was like a literally hell full of pain filling literally all moment the time. I hated the life and always used to have a filling like a huuuuge disappointment and sadness. In this part of my life there happened too too many interesting things in my life, but I will skip it, as it really needs a lot of space and time to speak about more in detail. And so, just several days ago I realized, that my life has changed towards the right track I always wanted to...THIS was the reason of being in the territory literally full of sheet. Briefly speaking, I found myself. Now I am in a kind of territory needs to be fulfilled with a lots of love and a lots of more exciting experiences. Thanks you bro, as you also played a significant role to happen things like that. I firstly listened your speech several days ago when I just began the process of "waking up"... )))

Dude!!! THANK YOU! I feel like "is this/that me" is my unique war. It is SO helpful to know other people struggle with their authentic "identity". My past had definitely become my "identity", and I do have a vision/ideal I wish to become, which almost has to include my past just because of the level of 'hell' it was. The idea that I am the one that is self actualizing my mind and body is fantastic, and (as difficult as it can be) the idea that "I" change is imperative to understand, I think. I recently heard a 'theory' that you cannot be what you believe as those beliefs are limiting and that has helped when I can remember that. I can totally agree by experience that stagnation is poison, and it truly does make you rot from the inside.

Hi Leo! I decided to check my TH-cam feed today and saw this video of yours. It's exactly what I needed to hear today. It's amazing when that happens. This definition of the authentic self is so spot on. So much of what we consider "us" as a personality, is just conditioned synaptic connections in our brains anyway. So we can truly be any self we put our habit of thought and action too. Thanks again for this insight and much needed reminder. You have a way with these points I find refreshing.

There have been moments in my life where i would do something, and i would feel 100% authentic... its hard to describe. I was wondering today if there really is such thing as a TRULY authentic self and how I can get there. This video was very insightful. Just one example, when you said that the truly authentic self isn't something that we can really achieve in totality, and that its something we have to constantly work towards. I think you're right about that. I saw that you have a second video on authenticity. I think I'll watch that too. Thanks again.

Ive always had this yearning to be and to do something great although i took the easy confortable way so far and ive felt i lost myself but ive decided its time to stop believing all the ilusions about myself and start on the journey of finding my real self and be the best version of me that i can be.

I might sound dumb but from what I understood all this stuff is sorta like quality vs quantity. A "comfortable" life is mostly pleasure through quantities of low quality (which leads to mind decay) while a self actualized life has a lot of quality and a bit less of low quality.

Really enjoyed this video. I am only 20 years old and I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now. I will start leaving comments with feedback :) I struggle with a lot of things you talk about but I am trying to be more aware all the time. You probably don't need reassurance but thank you for your time spent making videos I really appreciate it and I am sure others do too.
