Celebrating Graham being home. Lifting your family through your loss
Thank you so much!
Hello Holly...enjoyed meeting you today...prayers for Graham and your family...best wishes ❤❤
Thank you so very much!
Yay for Graham ! Hello to you! Been watching all your videos in two days to catch up! Love them all!
Oh that is so fun to hear, thank you for watching them!! And welcome!
Hello, I just discovered your flosstube. Love it. Don’t worry about making mistakes, we all do. It makes it ours.
oh welcome and thank you for watching!!!
Glad to hear that Graham went home.
But sorry to hear of your MIL's passing.
Great stitches & stash.
Your husband's paintings are awesome.
Hello is so very pretty.
Marilyn
Thank you. We are both celebrating and greiving. My girls are already trying to stake claim on their daddy’s paintings :)
I am so glad I started watching all your videos from the beginning. Wonderful answer to prayer on Graham going home... All my sympthy on the loss of your mother-in-law. I know how difficult that can be and know she will be missed :( I just love all your stitching and your husband is also very talented... no wonder your daughter is as well.
Hi Andrea! Thank you so much for watching, for commenting and for your words of encouragement!!
Great news about Graham! Prayers for you and family re: MIL.
As a fellow perfectionist with too much to do to ever go backward, I find there are times when unstitching is the best way to move forward. I had to frog 🐸 a major section of a project recently and nearly abandoned it because an inner border was 1 stitch over too far which threw everything off. I discovered my mistake when I got to the inner border on the other side. I am nearly finished re-stitching the 2 trees, 2 people, 1 house, and parts of the floral outer border that was also off because it linked to the misplaced border. I have lost some of my enthusiasm for the project so progress has slowed a bit, but I am much happier knowing it will forever be correct.
oh you’re so right! I try to really think through how much it will bother me in the future or if I can hid it or make it work before ripping out. And sometimes indecision gets the best of me!
Yay! Graham is home! I’m so happy for you! I’m so sorry to hear about Steve’s Mom. Sending you all hugs! I’m enjoying your flosstube! Hello would be fabulous to stitch!
Thank you, friend. I appreciate that you watch and for your support!
Hello Holly. Great news about your grandson. Prayers for peace with MIL. I always enjoy your video. On the red one, I would frog it. If it's too tedious, I would toss it and start over. 😂 Caroline pouch is absolutely stunning. I vote start the Ruby one. It's very pretty.
thank you so much! Yes, I’ll have to frog that alphabet, I’m afraid. thankfully, it shouldn’t take too long. Welp, that settles it…I think I’ll start Ruby today!
Such great news about Graham as my husband and I have prayed for him and the family members. My sympathies to your family in the loss of your mother-in-law and the Many Mansions sampler would be a nice remembrance of her for your husband. I loved that sampler when I saw it and it came to live in my house as a new start soon. Perhaps you could pick that one or Ruby sampler to start as you had to cancel your retreat trip? As for frogging, well if it really will bother you every time you look at it framed, then I say take the time to rearrange the motifs or frog it out! I think your moon project is looking very pretty with the variegation in the thread. Have a blessed week and enjoy your grandson with some hugs and kisses!❤
Oh it means so much that you and your husband have prayed so faithfully for Graham, thank you! Many Mansions has been started at my house, how about yours? Ruby will be soon!
Hello. Enjoyed your video as always. So happy Graham is home!!! ❤
oh thank you so much! We are so thrilled he’s home and can already see improvements!
Hello Sweet Holly!! I just love your stitches, especially the Jane Austen one. And the sampler that has 2 e’s, I’d say leave it! It makes it even more endearing. So happy to hear Graham is home. So sorry about your mother in law! 😢(hugs)
oh thank you so much!! I have a grand named Penny!!
Hello! Holly, you are so adorable! You may be a kindred spirit…girl mom, happy to stay home for weeks, Holly Hobby lover, often allows “sensible self” to talk excited self out of a new start… now I just need to hear you are a Michigan fan 😂😂. I’m so happy that Graham is home! I love your husband’s painting! So sorry to hear about your MIL. XO
Well we are twins! Are you a firstborn, like me? My excited self won this weekend and I started three! 🫣. Will I disappoint you if I tell you I’m not a sports fan? But that means I’m neutral as an Ohio resident! So we can still be friends, right?
Yes, I am a first born, too! I was never a sports fan until I went to grad school at Michigan. I’ll take you being neutral as an Ohio resident 😂😂. I gave poor Shellie a hard time when she wore her Buckeye sweatshirt in Amana last fall. I just received Rose Hill Farm and am resisting Many Mansions. My job interferes with my stitching so that’s the only thing keeping me from having more than 4-5 projects at a time.
I love everything you are working on and to see you miss count too sometimes I need to cry HELLO who doesn’t make mistakes time out is a good thing makes us feel better 🌼
Thank you so much! I’m still not sure why counting is so hard but I’m glad most people won’t notice our mistakes 😉. Thank you for tuning in!!
Hello, so glad to hear about Graham but so sad for the bad news. Always a pleasure to see you
thank you so much!
So sorry about your mother in law and happy that I think it’s your grandson who’s home. Someone mentioned it once. Wow that painting is amazing! I have to go back and watch from the start. Have heard many mention you, last one was once upon a stitch, Lori. Your craft room is fantastic! That’s only other I have watched but have subscribed and will go back to number 1
Oh Lori is the best! Thank you for watching and subscribing!!
I am so glad Graham was able to go home! I truly hope he can regain his strength in the comfort of home. I think hello from Liz Matthews designs beautiful charts! I am afraid I am one of those who frogs out oopsies. 🐸I find it more difficult to figure out how to fudge. Happy stitching!❤
Liz is such an amazing designer and a lovely person! Your stitching is probably the kind I aspire to stitch! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hello, Holly! Thank you for the Graham update and praise God for continued improvement! I’m more of a fudger than a frogger so I say keep moving forward! And yes, I certainly make as many (or more😂) mistakes than you. Love the SN needle book….so stinkin’ cute!
Oh thank you. He’s back in the hospital as of yesterday but hoping it’s a short stay this time! I consider myself more of a fudger too but every now and then, it bothers me enough to fix it 🥰
Hello Holly!! Glad you have good news about Graham, will continue to pray for him! Also sorry about your mother in law. Your husband is an amazing painter! Wow!!! My chart came in the mail today and I'm so excited to start!! It will be my first SAL! I'm waiting for a few colors of floss to come in the mail but I'm going to get it all prepped and I'm almost finished with another chart. Also saw the eclipse here and it was sure an experience! I got a few photos from my camera and we had a family picnic. I heard on Christian radio about God perfectly aligned the planets that you are able to perfectly calculate where they will be or were in the past. And it is amazing that he is able to create such amazing events like a solar eclipse. It just shows how great our God is!
Our God is an awesome Creator and a faithful God! Thank you for sharing! And thank you for your kind words!
Hello 👋 I love your channel name! Makes me think of my early childhood years and all the Holly Hobby cakes my mom had for my birthday!😊
Holly Hobbie cakes?? Please tell me you have a pic to share! I don’t remember ever having one!! So glad you took the time to watch and comment!
How wonderful that Graham is able to be home, and your mother-in-law as well. Harder for you, but so wonderful for her.
Your dilemma between your 'rule' to always go forward, and your desire to have your stitching be beautiful seems pretty normal for most stitchers. Who wants to frog or have stitching that isn't satisfying? For me, satisfaction wins. Now, sometimes it doesn't matter. Or sometimes the oops! doesn't show up until hundreds of other stitches are in place and in these instances, I will try to come up with creative solutions. Sometimes just putting it away for awhile helps me come to a decision on how to proceed, or move forward. Often I just bite the bullet and take out what I can. Going forward to a happy finish is the goal, for me. Thanks for sharing your lovely stitching, and hope all goes well.
oh your words of advice are very wise! I do try to step back and decide if anyone but me will notice. Then I ask how much it will bother me ea time I notice! I do rip out a lot but I also work around a lot! Still haven’t decided what to do with Moonshine Cabin so I guess it will stay in time out.
Enjoyed watching your video today Holly. And so glad to hear Graham is home...that precious baby has had a hard time of it lately. And then to lose your MIL...I am stitching In My Father's House are Many Mansions and it is such a lovely stitch. I started following your daughter on Instagram. I love her style...I am a lover of color as well!
oh how fun! Alissa shares so many great ideas! I love that you’re stitching Many Mansions too! I got a small start on it this week!
So happy to hear Graham is home. So sorry for your loss. That’s a lot to process all at the same time. Thankful you have prayer at all times for everything 🙌. I will take another look at Hannah so we can start her! I need to make a list of my ongoing SALs (or maybe that’s not the best idea🤣)
Thank you, friend! I’m so thankful we have a faithful God in the good and the hard! Maybe Hannah will be a slooooow SAL for us both and that’s ok too!
I love your "one more thing", you should use it often!! Happy tobhear Graham is home, now comes the rest & recover -prayers he does both quickly!!🙏🙏🙏
There is probably a very good chance One More Thing will happen again. And again ☺️. Thank you for Graham prayer!
Hello, I am so glad I found your Flosstube.
I’m so glad too! Thank you for watching!
Hi Holly, it’s so good to see you back! My But God pattern came today so I hope to get it kitted and start this weekend! Wonderful news that Graham is home and prayers for your family in the passing of your mother in law.
oh I hope you’re enjoying the start of But God! Thank you for your prayer!
Hello Mrs. Holly, love your flosstube. ❤
Well hello! Thank you for joining me for flosstube!
Hello 🌷 I really enjoy your flosstube and praise for answered prayer! I've also been married 41 years and my husband has an art degree - just thought I'd share a couple things in common 😀. Love your stitching and your sewing room 😍. Until next time, happy stitching 🪡❌💙
Oh how fun!! 1983 was a good year! I wish my husband would tap into his artsy side more often! Does yours use his degree?
@@hobbiesofholly I meant to say that your husband's work was really good! No, he hasn't painted since college. He turned his artsy talent into becoming a chef, lucky me!
I live in NE Ohio, my LNS is The Crafty Ewe.
@@junewood3012 oh I totally read it that way! That’s probably the last time mine painted too! A chef? You are a lucky lady! Mine is cute so I could that as pretty lucky too 🥰 but cooking is not a strength he possesses! 🤣
Hello Holly! Your recent video was very enjoyable. Your stitching and finishes are awesome. I’m looking forward to your next video.
Cindy, thank you for your encouragement!
Great news for Graham, but so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother-in-law. Praying for you all. I will be at the HATS retreat. Hope to meet you. Take care and Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much. I look forward to meeting you at the retreat!
Hello there! So glad to hear that Graham is home. Thank you for the Treehouse tip!
Thank you! Learned that Sue is going to dye more fabric next week so Treehouse will have more in the coming weeks!
Celebrating the wonderful news of your grandson! But God!
Prayers for your family during this season of loss.
Also, your husband is very talented. What a treasure to have in your home.
Thank you! He says he’s lost all he knew about painting but my girls would like their daddy to paint them sonething for Christmas!
Hello, just found your flosstube. So sorry for your loss! Your stitching is beautiful and I love Caroline's Pouch.
Oh thank you so much! Caroline’s pouch might be my favorite stitch of ever!!
Hello! Thanks for your FlossTube!!
Thanks for watching!
Hello Holly! Love watching your videos. I definitely want to get the But God pattern. So pretty. Glad Graham is home.
It’s really an enjoyable stitch!
So happy that your boy is home!! Hope recovery is steady for him. I think you should start whatever you want to start! Sometimes we just need to do that to feel better. Home
Thank you, it’s so good to have him close by instead of an hour away in the hospital! You’re right, that’s how I’m feeling right now. In fact, I started TWO projects big last night and night start another tonight!
Hello flosstube friend. Wonderful news regarding Graham. Praying for continued healing. I think we need a video tour of your home with all your lovely stitching on the walls. Enjoyed the video!
oh thank you, we are so thrilled he’s home! Well maybe one day soon I’ll film a tour, thank you!
So happy to hear about Graham❤
You are so sweet, love seeing your stitching! Sorry to hear about your MIL's passing. Thanks for the heads up on fabric!
Take care
oh I hope you snagged some LFA when it went live yesterday!! Thank you for your kind words!
I enjoy your videos so much and I was stitching while watching this tonight. You are always so positive and light hearted. I used to be a perfectionist but in my advancing years (I’ll be 72 next month) I have found that a lot of time can be spent “fixing” all of my mistakes. And often it proves to be unproductive. Do I frog mistakes I can’t fix or don’t like? Yup, I do. However one of my besties taught me something her MIL taught her. “You’ll never see it on a galloping horse.” I love that saying because if it’s not noticeable at a glance, then the mistake is not worth wasting time to fix. Then I ask myself, will I be staring at it all the time? And my final comment to myself is, who else will ever notice it or know about it except me. So ask yourself these questions about those windows. Is it worth it? It’s a reminder too, of how far you’ve come with your stitching. Just my opinion. I love your Jane Austin finish. Sarah of Sarah’s Stitchy Spot is stitching it and I love it. Your husband’s paintings are beautiful. I’m sorry about your MIL and very happy that Graham has returned home. I will continuing praying for your family. Have a good weekend!
That is such wise advise! I try to decide if it will bother me in the future or if I’ll even give it a thought! I didn’t remember Sarah was stitching Jane Austin! It’s such a fun stithc! Thank you so much for spending time with me and your kind words!
Love your 1 more thing segment!
Tam laughed when she saw it. It’s what we’ve done forever!
I love that chart Klara Hansen. I can see why you bought it twice Hello. You do beautiful work. Counting is sometimes hard for me to. Happy stitching !
It’s so pretty! You’re among friends who find counting hard, haha! Thank you for spending time with me!
Happy to hear your grandson is home and resting. Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother in law. Thanks for sharing your stitching and life with us.
oh your words mean so much, thank you!
Love answered prayer,so glad Graham is home. So very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother In Law. Your husband's picture he painted is absolutely gorgeous. I seem to never beable to make a cross stitch piece without 1ormore mistakes. Your pouch is gorgeous! Fantastic needle book. So enjoyed this time with you, thanks.
Oh thank you so much!! I’m quite positive that every piece I’ve ever stitched has mistakes! And I’m ok with it….mostly 😉.
To take out or not is the question. From experience, I spent far too much time figuring out how to work around the mistake. I just did a work around and vowed I was never going to do that again.
So happy the child is safe at home now. I am also sorry for your loss
Oh that’s good advice! I do spend a lot of time debating and deciding! Thank you, we are so glad he’s home!
So sorry for the loss of your Mother in Law but am so excited that Graham is home! Great video! Love spending time with you!
ah thank you, that means a lot!! Thanks for hanging out with me!
Hello Holly! Now I really want to stitch But God! Love your videos and all that you share! ❤
hello and thank you!
Thrilled Graham is home! Condolences on the loss of your mother in law. Beautiful painting.
thank you so much! We are both celebrating and grieving.
Hello Holly. I just found your flosstube and watched all your videos. Love your stitching
oh how sweet of you! Thank you for spending that time with me!
Hello! The Klara chart is so lovely. I like your Moon Garden stitching, I would say try to adjust the leaves around the roof so you don't have to rip out.
Isn’t it? Think I’ll put moonshine away for a bit then just make it work when it comes back out!
Hello Holly, I am so happy that Graham is home. Nothing like being home to gain strength. I am sorry to hear about your mother in law. Prayers for your family.
Thank you so much!
Hello sweet lady!!!! I LOVE the “Hello From Liz Matthews” chart! So pretty! One-color charts are sooooo soothing!!! Thank you so much for mentioning me and my Flosstube!! I’m nervous every day that I’ll lose my upper-close vision! 😂 Right now I can stitch on 56 count without magnification - my eyes just get used to it! I absolutely LOVE your Flosstube! Rip those letters out, Missy, and get it over with! You’ll feel better! It happens to me so often that I barely even get sad anymore. I’m so happy your grandson is out of the hospital! I’m so sorry about your mother-in-law.😢 Also, PLEASE tell your husband to keep painting! I LOVE that painting! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful stitching! XOXO Heidi
Can we be bffs? I just think you’re pretty great! Still can’t believe you can stitch on high count with no magnification! I was stitching on 46ct with my glasses, those flippy magnifiers AND my big ol’ floor lamp magnifier last night! You’re right, I should sit down right now and rip out those red stitches. I adore one color stitching! Now, hurry up and film again, will ya? I’ll be waiting for that notification, Missy!
First of all, yes, I absolutely make as many mistakes as you do. I also totally agree forward not backwards. I think you should leave your old stitches in. It shows your growth, it will still be beautiful! I loved your projects.
Oh thank you!! I’ve put that in time out and I’ll decide later (ya know, procrastinate the final decision 😉). Thank you for watching!
HELLO!! I love your videos. So glad to hear that your grandson is home. ❤
Thanks so much! We are so happy he’s home!!
Put a heart in place of one of the “e”s. And I am working on a SAL from Tiny Modernist that’s free for her patrons. It’s my first SAL so I’m determined to keep up so I’m rushing…luckily I’ve caught all my stitch mistakes and fixed all but one. I’m not frogging the whole darn mushroom! So I’ll fudge. Don’t worry, you are not alone!
Hey, that’s a brilliant idea! I’ll relook at it and see if that will work! Thank you for sharing! Fudge on!!
Hi Holly! Condolences on the passing of your mother-in-law. You'll always have all the memories of her. Fantastic news about Graham. Prayers that he gets stronger every day. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful stitching and finishes. Happy Spring and happy stitching! Lori
Thank you, Lori. We are both celebrating and greiving. PS your grands are adorable! I was so excited to see them on your flosstube this week!
Wonderful Flosstube! Would love to stitch Klara and will join you in Many Mansions! So sorry for the loss of your mother-in-law, but know she's rejoicing with her Lord. Blessings.
Oh thank you. I have a small start on Many Mansions, I’d love you to stitch with me! Klara will have to be a start soon, she’s too pretty!
Holly, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You officially enabled me in your last video. I bought both shower curtain rings (love ❤ them!) and the bags. Then I promptly made 🧵 🪡 myself 4 project bags thus sort of negating the need for the purchased bags (but there’s always more projects to be kitted) 😂
I’m sorry for your loss and happy to hear your grandson is home and recovering.
oh that’s funny! I hope you enjoy the rings and still find a good use for the bags you purchased! I love that you made new project bags!!
Holly, first of all, praise for Graham’s homecoming!! I am sure that he will be able to rest and recover much better at home, He has had a tough journey so far! Continued prayers for him. Secondly, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother In-law. I will keep your husband and your family in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. I am like you, a frustrated perfectionist! If I make a mistake, I frog it! You could always do a restart if it is a lot of frogging, and if you can’t or don’t want to do it. If you can fudge it and have it look correct, I would move forward. What a wonderful surprise to hear you announce my name as the recipient of one of the But God charts! I have sent you an email already! Thank you so much for your kindness! The needle book you made is gorgeous! Stacy Nash has such beautiful designs! Looking forward to your next video!
oh thank you, Carol! Your But God chart went out this morning and I can’t wait for you to start it! You’re so right about all the perfectionist stitching! We sound like we have similar philosophies!
Sorry to hear of your loss. Glad Graham is doing better..we will miss you in ME next weekend. We will have to meet another time.
Thank you! I’ll be watching for any posts and updates from the retreat and hope you have a great time!
Holly you are such a ray of sunshine!!! I just love you to pieces!
love you right back, cousin!
A really enjoyable Flosstube, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. hello💗
Thank you so much!
Holly, my heart is so happy to hear Graham is home may each day he become stronger and continue a healthier path….my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother in Law 🌹 still life painting what a lovely treasure to have in your home after it hung in hers for so many years …talk about a full circle of love ♥️
You have the best luck in buying from de-stash 🤩, where do you start draw a number 😘 they are all beautiful. So happy you get to go to HATS RETREAT how fabulous enjoy! Take care Holly your the best 🤗♥️
oh thank you so much! He is making so much progress every day! We are celebrating him and grieving at the same time. You’re so right about that painting coming full circle! I’ll think of her every time I pass it! New starts….welp, I’ve started 3 and might start a 4th today! I really shouldn’t but I sure did it!
Hello Holly 💕 I’m so thankful Graham was able to come home! I hope you and your family will have a restful time as you process the loss of your mother in law. Hugs 💕 Sarah
Thank you, Sarah. I know you just went through the same with your father in law. I appreciate you!
Hello, again. Your flosstubes are so much fun, and informative, too.
oh that makes my day that you think so! Thank you for spending the time with me!
Hi Holly! So glad to hear that Graham is home - what wonderful news 🥰 I was sorry to hear of your mother-in-laws passing but grateful you are able to be home and celebrate her life with your family. Thank you for sharing your stitchy progress with us (and such incredible haul!). You're a gem 💜
hey, I miss you and need to stitch with you again soon! Loved hearing about all your market escapades on Lindy Stitches this week!
So great that Graham got home! Now for his strength to build!! I hoped to start But God this week but I’m missing some floss. Your dilemmas with the counting errors would stump me. I’m not sure how I’d handle them but I’d be tempted like you to just put them in time out! Happy stitching!
Graham is making such great progress! His head control improvement has wow’d me this week! I hope your floss came and you got a start! That project did, in fact, go back to time out!
Hello Holly, love your video great news about Graham. We have Hollys on both sides of our family. I always grid my fabric no matter what. I am only willing to count in a 10 by 10 grid, even then I sometime make mistakes but at least I catch them early on. Thank you for your generosity.
that’s such a great idea! I think I’m always just to anxious to get stitching but maybe I should start!
Hello Holly🥰 Sending love and hugs for your gladness (Graham) and sadness (MIL). I have done more frogging in the last week than I have in YEARS😡 My choice was to rip all of my errors out before going to bed so that when I wake up, it’s a new, fresh start. Your haul is impressive, life is short, you should have what brings you happiness whenever possible!
oh you sound so disciplined! Sometimes I frog right away but sometimes the frustration makes me procrastinate! :) Thank you for understanding out gladness and sadness!
You sure did cheer me up today with this! Lovely stitching! I had no clue Steve was an artist! Impressive Mr. Neal! I'll miss you next week!
He’s a man of many talents! I’m so sad I won’t get to stitch with you next week! I will need a full and detailed report please!
Glad he is home & happy!! yet sorry about your MIL passing. I think you should try the Rhodes stitches. GreatFinishes! Try "Just Stitching, Inc in Ohio. That pouch finish is so pretty!! Summer Quaker would be a nice new start. That's an awesome wooden bowl. Thanks for the LFA scoop.
I hope you snagged some LFA this weekend! I stocked up on Low Tide! I ‘ll give the Rhodes a try!
So very glad Graham is home! That is so wonderful! Hugs and continued prayers!❤ So sorry about your Mother in Law but the painting is fantastic.
thank you so much! We are enjoying him being home so much!! We are both celebrating and greiving. The painting will remind me of her every time I walk by!
@@hobbiesofholly i know the feeling. I miss my mom so much every day.
@@jkminor me too! My mom passed away 10yrs ago and I still dream about her!
Thank you Jesus for returning Graham to his home. I hear the birds are rejoicing too.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your mother in law.
amen and amen!!
Hello Holly! I certainly can relate to your miscount frustration 😫. I have had to frog on some pieces….but, sometimes I manage to embrace my error and create a new look. So sorry to hear of your MIL passing.
me too, I sometimes frog and sometimes work around!! Thank you for your condolences
Hello Holly! Contended Kim gave you a shoutout and I love this video. Now I have to binge your others.
Kim is so sweet and has been such an encourager! Thank you for coming over to watch!
Hello Holly. I just found your floss tube channel. I really enjoyed your video. ❤
well welcome and thank you for watching!
Hello, great video as always.
ah thank you!
You can absolutely fudge around the moon! As long as you mirror it no one will know. Or you can send it to me, I’ll get it going again for you and send it back 😊
welp, you might just get that project then🙃
Hello! New subscriber to your channel. Enjoy seeing your stitched projects.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and subscribe!!
Hello Holly. Love watching your videos! But God will be gorgeous! I’m tempted to purchase the pdf, but I have so much on my plate, I might have to be content to watch your progress. Glad to hear Graham is home!
oh thank you so much! I will try to give you good updates on my progress!
Great video ❤️
thanks so much!
Hello, just found you and really loved your flosstube!
Oh thank you for watching and for such kind words!
Hi Holly, another delightful video! You have so many interesting things to show. Your husband's work is quite beautiful. I too am interested in joining Welcome Stitchery's needlebook club with Primitive Hare. I love making needlebooks. I have received an email from Justine a few weeks ago and am waiting to hear when it starts. All the best for little Graham's recovery.
Thank you so much for commenting and watching! Aren’t those needle books wonderful! Plus, I love Justine!
Hello, beautiful stitching and painting. I just came across your podcast
oh thank you for spending time with me!
Hi from a fellow Ohioan (Cleveland)! When you asked if anyone else makes mistakes I giggled because I was pulling out a motif I'd just stitched on Spring Quaker (Lila's Studio). That wasn't so bad but I recently had stitched 25% of Cardinal Points and it looked sooo good! Then I had a whim to measure again and make sure I wasn't going to run out of fabric. I don't know why I had that thought but when I realized I had started too low and WOULD run out....that project went so fast into time out. Ughhh..... I hate to pitch the fabric and start again. Maybe I can pull it all out. I hope so. It's one strand. Maybe it will pull out easier?
Oh no!!!! I’m gonna need a photo. Can you somehow make it a stand along piece with what you already have stitched? You must somehow use it!! These are the mistakes I make too 🫣😬
Hi Holly :-)) I’m so elated to hear that Graham is home!!! I am praying that each day he gets stronger I’m so sorry to hear about your mother in law 💕Seeing all of purchases was so much fun!! Where did you buy the flour thread I’ve been wanting to get some and wasn’t sure who carried it… until next time take care
Thank you so much! Graham is making progress every day!! I bought the Flower Thread from Ginnie Thompson Flower Thread website! She had everything in stock and shipped quickly!
Holly, I just found your FT channel. Love it. I have subscribed. We seem to have the same taste in stitching. I would love to know what that Destash site is. Wow, you got some beauties. I will be at the retreat with Nicola too. I would love to sit at your table. Keep making Flosstubes. Hope to see you soon. Happy stitching. Best, Karen
Oh hi again, I’m seeing comments out of order! Sorry about that! I find things on stash unload and another group on fb but am currently blanking on the name. It’ll come to me! I’ve also bought from Etsy destash listings (like the Calculated Stitcher’s store) and some stash purchases!
Hello Holly! Love your stitching. First time watcher and just subscribed. What great destash sites to you like? Such great finds. So tempting!
oh thank you for watching and subscribing! I like Stash Unloading on FB as well as Samplers through time. I also try to watch for people posting destash on IG or Etsy!
Looking for Stacy Nash critters, the Colorado Cross Stitcher has them.
Thanks so much! I grabbed a copy with a fabric order from Happy Little Stitch Shop and can’t wait to start it!
Hello,I love monochromatic projects
me too!!!
This is the first time I’ve seen your floss tube. I really enjoyed it. What are the destash groups you enjoy?
Oh thanks for stopping by! I’m on stash unload on fb but also keep my eye out on IG and Etsy. I’ve purchased a lot from families of stitchers and quilters who have passed away as well! A friend just shared a couple of other fb groups but I haven’t shopped those yet
I love Liz Mathews... So Hello
She’s the best!

Great flosstube! Thank you for doing this. You mentioned that you got a kit on Destash. what is Destash or where can I find it.? Thank you.
Hi! Thank you for watching! I talked a little about where I find destash on episode 6. Stash unloading is a good fb group. Etsy has some destash listings. Even fb marketplace has been a good source! Happy hunting!
I always say - how will those stitches look with 20/20 vision.....20 feet way at 20 miles per hour.....😊
I love how you think!
Hello there.Home is my happy place too. How did you get the jane austen stitch to be so big? I would l8ke to do that. Are you stitching over 2 or more? Is it 14 ct. Aida? Thank you for help. Glad he is home now. Sorry for your loss.
No place like home!! I think I stitched Jane on 14ct aida and used 2 strands of floss!
Hello! I am new here. I would love to stitch along with you. And I do ❤Jane Austen and staying home.
And your Jane Austen is gorgeous.
Oh hello! Thank you for watching!
I was first a quilter before going all out to cross stitching. When something was off or I had a mistake in a quilt I would look at the piece and ask myself, "Can you live with this?" If the answer was no at that point, didn't change or redo the problem, it would always bother me. I feel that you are having that same Delima with your cross stitch piece. You stated that you are a perfectionist and this is already bothering you. It will definitely bother you later. Cheers for the good news but sympathy for your loss.
As a quilter, I think I’m more picky and precise with my quilt piecing than my stitching! Do you find that to be true? Thank you for watching and sharing!
Hello Holly, great new about Graham!
I enjoyed your video. I have a question about the Stacey Nash pouch that you finished. I’m close to finishing mine. Did you add interfacing to the back of your stitched piece. Yours looks “stiff” in the video and was wondering what kind of interfacing you used or if you did not?
Thank you for your time!
Hello! It’s been a while since I finished it. Mine was a kit from Homespun Needleworks on fb, was hours? I finished it as directed in the kit but I don’t think there was interfacing 🤔. Mine is fairly floppy. Believe it or not, Graham is back in the hospital but I’ll try to check it when I get home and let you know!
Home and just checked it out. I did not add interfacing! Let me know if you want to see it close up!
Thank you for checking when you are so busy. I will pray for Graham and the doctors caring for him.
