How Elsa & Anna’s Parents Are Still Alive Helping Their Children!

  • Throughout the film, we saw Elsa being guided by a mysterious voice that she felt compelled to listen to as it pulled her in the proper direction. Well, it would turn out that the directors of the film have confirmed that the voice was actually Queen Iduna, Elsa’s mother guiding her in the right direction.
Now the fact that this theory has been confirmed by the directors of the film has led to a lot of speculation as to what really happened to Elsa and Anna’s parents. With many fans now speculating that the two may actually still be alive somewhere, helping their children break ANOTHER curse, different from the one set on Arendelle that we saw in Frozen 2, and one that we actually hinted on in another one of our videos. In fact, the more you look into this one, the more convincing it gets!

There were FOUR stone pillars at the entrance to the Enchanted Forest, each with a unique sigil for wind, fire water and earth. When Honeymaren explained the pattern on Idunna's scarf, she pointed out four, not six and certainly not eight, diamonds and a small white square, saying that the square represented a BRIDGE between nature and humanity, NOT another element. Elsa repeated this to Anna and Olaf before she told them of her decision to go to Attahallan and when she returned and Anna exclaimed "You are the Fifth Spirit, you're the bridge." Elsa replied that a bridge has two side and Idunna had two daughter, implying that the two sisters together were the Fifth Spirit. This provide a convenience explanation for why Anna never developed magic of her own, she was the human side of the bridge, and nicely fits their relationship: Anna always kept Elsa grounded.
When Elsa first uncounted the Nokk in the ocean, he let get to the surface and catch a few breaths before attacking her. I doubt he would have done that if he just wanted to drown her. I think the other spirits wanted to test the Fifth Spirit; Elsa gained Gale's, Bruni's and Nokk's respect by subduing them and Anna won the Earth Giants' respect by making the decision to demolish the dam and risking her own life to see it done.
I've heard that Josh Gad loves to improvise lines and that his calling out "Samantha" and the way he laughed at himself afterwards, was an example of that. The directors would have kept it because it was funny and actually fit Olaf's character, who was largely the comic relief, but it was probably unscripted and definitely never meant to be taken seriously.
When Elsa was unfrozen, Nokk immediately appeared to take her to save Arendell, then back to the Enchanted Forest where he gracefully bowed so she could gracefully dismount, and at the end of the movie when she told Gale they were going for a ride, Nokk bounded out of a stream and pranced up to she where they touched foreheads. Clearly he had calmed down and was just as happy to take Elsa where ever she wanted to go as she was to ride him.
Sometime a storm is just a storm.
Given how important the death of the sisters' parents are to their stories and character growth, the worst thing the creators of Frozen could possible do is say "we were just kidding, see, their parents are alive." Especially if it's just to milk more money out of the franchise.
I don't know what shipwreck you're referring to. The wreck I saw in Frozen II clearly had most of the ship together. Personally, I think part of the reason for having Elsa call up the memory of her and Anna's parents drowning was to put an end to all of those rumors about them being alive.
Agnarr and Idunna did not have their older daughter's magic, or her immunity to cold. They would have been on the edge of hypothermia before they even reached Attahallan and would have succumb soon afterwards. That assumes that they would have even reached the glacier alive which, according to your earlier reasoning that the Nokk had deliberately sank their ship, would not have happened because he would have made sure everyone on the ship were dead.
I think that Attahallan may have been a place where the walls between the worlds of the living and dead are thinner, as well as a place that stores what water remembers. In any case, I doubt that Elsa could even think after she had turned to ice which is why she had to send that message to Anna before she froze completely. How would Idunna have been able to send messages if she were an ice statue?
I would rather the Frozen franchise end now than see Disney continue to make a list of worsening movies, as has happened with the likes of the Terminator and Alien franchises. Western Europe isn't the only place they can draw inspiration for their movies from and Moana and Raya and the Last Dragon shows that they know that.

Although if they did and along with Confirming that both Parents are really are dead it would be sort of ground breaking. Not Only it would be a First in a Disney Princess Film but also more importantly it Signifies that Disney thinks that the Younger Audiences have been decensortise enough to actually add Deaths in there Princess Films. The voice is Ahtohallan itself, using Iduna's voice to call out to Elsa so she can embrace her destiny. Why using Iduna's voice? Well, perhaps because she's the one who saved Agnarr, despite his father betraying her people? Ahtohallan, angry because of the treason, gave a chance to Arendellians to make up for the murder because Iduna showed altruism. So, the deity gifted the king and the queen by giving them two daughters : Elsa, with her magical powers, so connected to the Northuldra and the spirits and Anna, an ordinary girl with an extraordinary heart, a princess who loves Arendelle and her sister and would do anything for Elsa and her people.
Except from Iduna being Elsa's mother, Ahtohallan using her voice is logical: the Queen of Arendelle is key to understand everything. Without her, no bridge would have ever existed. The fact that when Elsa goes to the heart of Ahtohallan, she sees her mother saving her father confirms this.
Iduna and Agnarr are probably dead.

I honestly think their dead, like sure their spirits could still be in touch with the world in some way (if spirits work that way in Norse mythology) but their physical bodies have to be dead. With the ship being knocked over as aggressively as it was they had to have gotten serious injuries from that, plus with all the force the water very likely had when it enveloped the parents and very likely the crew as well had to have crushed their bodies, plus even if the water killed them they would have still been injured and weak from the whole incident and a guy on a boat died at sea after only 3 days of being exposed to the salt of the water, can you imagine swimming in it under those conditions? The only way the parents could have lived is by a miracle to be honest, maybe their miracle started in the form of a curse and another spirit or a higher being took pity and gave them a way to still exist in the world (similar to what Zeus for some of his "lovers" when Hera cursed one of them)

  • @Fantasygirl2001

According to what I have learn about Norse mythology which contains more mention of nok or any of the elemental spirits the water horse that we saw only tries to drown people that have impure heats or are lying to themselves or the people they love it is possible that when we saw the ship goin under in the first movie it was actually the water horse attacking the other sailors who were not pure of heart or had actually been loyal to Agnnar's father to the exclusion that they were not fully loyal to Agnnar it is also possible that Elsa might have misinterpreted what they water memories were telling her because as you stated she only saw part of the story who knows

If Elsa had been the spirit of the element of ice then why was she flesh and blood?

    • @BellaKarim23
      @BellaKarim23 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

There's always a limit to everything since she's still made of flesh and bone and also because even though she had embraced her powers she had in fact been containing them for so long it's actually not unreasonable for her to lose control of them at some point, like a dam bursting at the seams even if you let some of the water out it may not be enough. Plus, the power comes from Attahallan, and like the other spirits tested her so too would the glacier test her as well and since a glacier is ice it made sense that her power of ice would be tested by ice. A test which she passed because her message to her sister, the other half of the bridge, did what Elsa asked for in her message. The test was after all for both of them, to form a bridge you need to sides and both parts need to join to be able to do what needs done, which the sisters did.

We see at the end of the movie when (IDK what to call it so- here's a timestamp instead of 4:34) the center is Elsa & Anna (We'll get to this in a moment) then four other parts that branch from it. Red is fire, orange is earth, blue-ish white is air, the blue is water. there is no sixth part to this. It is said that Anna and Elsa are both the fifth element. Anna is the human side, thus why she never developed any magic. Elsa is the magic side, thus why she has powers. Idunna had two daughters so it would make sense for them both to be tied to the fifth element. There is no sixth element. ( Also, whoever voiced Olaf- I forgot who lol) they had improvised "Samantha" and the laugh was them being amused. The directors kept it because it fitted Olaf's character and it was just funny in general. So, "Samantha" was merely a joke and shouldn't be taken as another leading for a possible new movie. I personally, don't think there shall be another movie; Frozen II was clearly the ending of the franchise. I like the idea of Idunna's voice being the voice to call Elsa, but it doesn't make sense how if she were dead. It was confirmed that Elsa and Anna are the sisters of Tarzan; Tarzan's parents were confirmed dead after they were attacked by a leopard.

There were FOUR stone pillars at the entrance to the Enchanted Forest, each with a unique sigil for wind, fire water, and earth. When Honeymaren explained the pattern on Idunna's scarf, she pointed out four, not six and certainly not eight, diamonds and a small white square, saying that the square represented a BRIDGE between nature and humanity, NOT another element. Elsa repeated this to Anna and Olaf before she told them of her decision to go to Attahallan and when she returned and Anna exclaimed "You are the Fifth Spirit, you're the bridge." Elsa replied that a bridge has two sides and Idunna had two daughters, implying that the two sisters together were the Fifth Spirit. This provides a convenient explanation for why Anna never developed magic of her own, she was the human side of the bridge, and nicely fits their relationship: Anna always kept Elsa grounded.
When Elsa first uncounted the Nokk in the ocean, he let her get to the surface and catch a few breaths before attacking her. I doubt he would have done that if he just wanted to drown her. I think the other spirits wanted to test the Fifth Spirit; Elsa gained Gale's, Bruni's, and Nokk's respect by subduing them and Anna won the Earth Giants' respect by making the decision to demolish the dam and risking her own life to see it done.
I've heard that Josh Gad loves to improvise lines and that his calling out "Samantha" and the way he laughed at himself afterward, was an example of that.
Clearly, he had calmed down and was just as happy to take Elsa where ever she wanted to go as she was to ride him.
Sometimes a storm is just a storm.
Given how important the death of the sisters' parents is to their stories and character growth, the worst thing the creators of Frozen could possibly do is say "we were just kidding, see, their parents are alive." Especially if it's just to milk more money out of the franchise.
I don't know what shipwreck you're referring to. The wreck I saw in Frozen II clearly had most of the ship together. Personally, I think part of the reason for having Elsa call up the memory of her and Anna's parents drowning was to put an end to all of those rumors about them being alive.
Agnarr and Idunna did not have their older daughter's magic or her immunity to cold. They would have been on the edge of hypothermia before they even reached Attahallan and would have succumbed soon afterward. That assumes that they would have even reached the glacier alive which, according to your earlier reasoning that the Nokk had deliberately sunk their ship, would not have happened because he would have made sure everyone on the ship was dead.
Western Europe isn't the only place they can draw inspiration for their movies and Moana and Raya and the Last Dragon shows that they know that.

Light comes from fire. The sun is a ball of fire. You could also say darkness is apart of fire due to the smoke. Making the 4 elements. But there is cases where Metal, wood and stone are refered to there own element.
Also you go off the pentagram the first point is Spirit. Then fire, wind earth and water. When Elsa saw the last can also be refered to as spirit of the past, meaning it was memories of her mother voice. Possabily something she once said that triggered a memory when she was a child.
Elsa is water. She is just the colder side. So having two types of water balanced things out.
Disney bring the girls parents back. Then some fans will want the same in little mermaid.
Having Disney princesses with no parents or guardian mentioned after their parents passed. It helps give children in the same situation someone to look up to. So don't think bringing parents back will be a option.

Well this is why I think Elsa froze.
She's the embodiment of ice. She fell from a distance onto the ground and started to freeze. This can happen with chilled water, once it falls onto a surface it'll start to freeze. You can try it for yourself
Also have they never heard about Elsa, Anna, and Tarzan canonically being siblings??-

First, Samantha is a joke, which debunks half of your theory.
Second, Disney doesn’t need to show us their parents death for them to be dead. We saw the ship sink, it’s implied that they died, and dead characters don’t always need to come back.

As far as the shipwreck being caused by Nokk:
    Mmm. Maybe.
Don't forget, though, that the writers probably didn't even *know* yet back then that there *was* any such character as Nokk.
Technically they didn't necessarily *have* to know, but still.
Ethan Allen: As far as what shipwreck is the original poster referring to. In the original Frozen movie, the ship sank, or at least, so we are led to believe. In the sequel, the same ship is later washed up on shore (which to me seems a mite odd if it supposedly sank nowhere near land, but whatever). It does look wrecked, although fortunately not completely destroyed. (Fortunately because it's easier to get clues from in the state that it's in.)
As to why the ship was wrecked: The seas in that part of the world are known to be very treacherous (in real life) at certain times of year (such as fall and winter). What I want to know is: Knowing that interesting fact, which they presumably did, why on earth would the parents try to get all the way to Ahtohallen by ship when it turns out that you can get most of the way there by traveling on land?
Doesn't completely make sense, but then, a lot of things don't.
Evidently, the second movie is trying so hard to give viewers (and the main characters) some closure...that it doesn't mind changing certain things which were presented in the *first* movie...including things which *could* have made the case already seem...closed.
    Sigh. 😕😞😌😕

    • @julistarling8382

I think that "Samantha" is just an easter egg. Maybe the third installment will take place in North America this time and the characters' journey to lift the curse of another human with lightning powers (Herobrine). My thought is that maybe the third installment isn't titled Frozen 3, but instead Herobrine: The Ultimate Legend.

Seriously guys "Samantha" is nothing more than just a random name that the goofball Olaf came up with on the spot; because he is the 'comic relief' for both of the movies and that was just him being silly, I highly doubt 'Samantha' is the name of an up coming yet to be met character especially one that will be a "6th spirit".
In fact if I remember correctly I think I saw commets on TH-cam videos way before the sequel was released and only the teasers and trailers were being shown; people were making the assumption that Samantha could possibly be the name of that little brown haired girl that was seen running around in the forrest, we now know of course that the child was actually Elsa and Anna's mother Idunna back as a kid.

There were four of those pillars before the Enchanted Forest (like @Ethen Allen said below) and Honeymaren pointed out five crystals. It makes sense that Elsa is the fifth spirit, since only she could open up the Enchanted Forest. But then, if Elsa could open it, why couldn't the other four spirits? This is my theory.
Elsa and Anna's mother Iduna was from the Enchanted Forest. It's quite possible that she combined the four spirits to make Elsa. Now that they were combined, they were weaker, but Elsa had her magic stronger since she didn't use it daily. That is why only she could open the Enchanted Forest.
And how does Olaf know Samantha?
Well, in the video it says Samantha is the sixth spirit - the lightning spirit, the only one able to make Nokk relax. I think that Samantha too was an orphaned girl, like Elsa and Anna. Maybe her parents took her on the trip with a trusted staff member only and planned to cross to Atahollen, but were tackled by Nokk and drowned, yet Samantha survived, being left unconscious on the Atahollen shore by Nokk. She managed to travel by herself to the river and found out that her parents planned to show her that she had unrevealed lightning powers. She found out herself, yet other memories pulled her down to where Elsa froze in Frozen 2. Samantha also froze, and her spirit was reincarnated into Olaf. It makes sense why Olaf knows who Samantha is, since the memory must be buried somewhere.

All who are inside cannot leave that also means any elements that were there when it happened or walked in after. I also belive elsa and anna could even enter the barrier was because the forest and the curse and Attahallan where not only calling them there to fix it but becuase they themselves are also apart of this curse. Christof and the rest just kinda tagged along when the short window the barrier was open.
