The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. TVS Victor now competes with Yamaha RX

Yes bro i had a deal of rx 100 customized in 50k and rx-z fully modified front back disk brake and engine pored that also in 50k but both the bikes didnot had documents i felt very bad to break the deal but it was better the falling in problem in future
Without papers 50k was waste 15000 more for that

Bhau mera baba ka bike 11 years tax fail he. 87 model ka bike he. Abhi paper banane jata hu to pollution aru insurance mangte he. Insurance ho gaya lekin pollution banane jata hu to VAHAAN database me number nehi nikalta. DTO jata hu to pollution mangte he. Abhi ye bhi huwa toh kinta tax lagega DTO wala woh bhi nehi bolta. Now i am in confusion inta jhamela solve karke RC banau ki nehi. Ho sakta toh agent ko de ke jyada paisa de ke hi papers bana leta lekin agent bhi nehi milta. Btw i am from Guwahati

you can renew the papers as the owner is from your house. still first ask an rto agent!

Staying close to BKC, with yah need to be careful as the cops around dont check the papers straight matching the chasis,/ engine no then the regn paper, also scrap dealers there refurbish the bikes and sell it these are then used for driving and stunts done at night at BKC also accident bikes mostly... I am a dsily victim but now they know so no issues All in all no mercy for yah bikes also found all yah parts dissapearing from grey m arket are sent to bangalore for drag race which uses 2 stroke engine.

green tax chod dia toh 8k tak kharcha aiga. green tax ka 2k hai kharcha lekin agar green tax pe penalty raha toh kharcha badhega. log 15k 20k tak bharte hai, so better check the paper costing from an agent then buy the bike
