I followed your itinerary of takayama, matsumoto, kawaguchiko along with osaka, kyoto and tokyo..
It was a wonderful experience of exploring villages of japan ..
We did go to shirakawago..
Also covered disneysea and Harry Potter world in tokyo..
Skipped universal studios osaka as we had no time for that..
I missed Hiroshima though..

Answer for
1) No
2) Yes
Not reqd to declare if it’s in open condition. If it’s sealed pack, you’ll pay duty. Also, apple will take care of your mobile if it’s in warranty. But you have to produce an original invoice. That’s what I’ve been informed by apple service technicians.
Congratulations for buying Iphone at Bangkok. Since you purchased there, What if something happens and India Apple team refuse to check your phone since you bought from outside. Just checking...
