our math department has resorted to making and posting their own videos (grade 9) and they are certainly trying but boasting on how good they are, I just want to say I come to your videos every week. Thank you for being so amazing at teaching!
Thank you! I wish I could do this full time! I've been teaching 19 years. I try to keep posting but it gets tiring trying to post new content after teaching all day. All the support is greatly appreciated!👍😁
Thanks a lot! We learned this around the start of the school year and I’m trying to jog my memory for the upcoming regents! (I made a $1 bet with some friends on who will get the highest score so I need to remember a lot)
Thank you for this very easy to follow and educational video, because this saved me for a question on my quiz. I was out of town for a week and couldn't see what was taught, so thank you.
what if the table isn't linear? it says i need to write a linear function that relates y to x, but the table doesn't have a constant rate of change. help!!
Im confused help i have a major test and lost.are you dividing these number multiying or all the above.and if all the above do i multiply first add or what?
What about if the difference in each x and y going up don't match up when you do change y over change x, don't match up, how would you make an equation then?
how do you know that the equation is in the form y =mx +b ?. you could be given a set of data without knowing whether it is linear or not so how could you possibly make the assumption that the equation was y = mx + b? that's too much of a jump to make from a set of data that you have no information about their relationship?

Good explanation👍👍

"the following table has a linear relationship" "express the equation in the format y=mx+b" No assumptions. Reading can really take ya places.
