I don't get this print on demand thing, because some of the items are so expensive plus you have to put your own markup percentage on them. Like right now, mugs are around $15 base price, then you have to put your mark up. Who's gonna spend nearly $20 on one mug. TShirts are like 12 dollars plus you have to put your markup. Having said that, I do sell TShirts and sublimation products but I buy from a distributor, I get them in small quantities, like hundreds at a time. My blanks are high quality, heck look up Classic Tees, them and I get from the same distributor. Same thing as these print on demand providers. The shirts cost around $5 and they offer them for around $15 plus you gotta put your mark up. Anyway let's see if my comment gets deleted. 😂

Lot of buyers understand your usually dealing with small shop, selling an item you probably won't find anywhere else. I've seen mugs in the $30-40 range that sell. I've had my own etsy shop for about four years... The biggest problem these days is saturation of products and new sellers. It's bad these days, real bad. Lot of etsy youtubers won't tell you that, it's MUCH harder than they make it sound to be successful. You gotta remember if they have plenty of views/subs they're making GOOD money on youtube making these videos. They also sell courses. So maybe the real way to success is making youtube videos about etsy and selling courses.

We're not asking for these content creators to give us the details of their 'gold mine', but heck we're spending our data which translates into money to learn from them. So, all we ask for is transparency and honesty.

Alek, I am 14 and I run a Etsy store for a few months but nothing, even after almost daily uploads of designs. I spent hours researching SEO, Marketing, Product designs, etc. Could you make a video which shows ways a teenager could make money online with barley any start-up capital?
He literally explained all of that in this video. Is your product in a popular niche? Is it priced right? Are your SEO terms targeting the right audience…If your products aren’t selling your products might not be any good. Make more products. How many products do you have for sale? 50? 100? 1000? With stores that have thousands of quality items for sale and proven sales it’s going to be hard for you to jump in without paid ads unless you create some killer products.

If you're doing product research and you find a design with high sales that you want to make your own variation of, how did that person find that design? By doing the same thing? How did the person they found it on find that design?

Printify will need their money upfront to fulfill the order but you can set the order approval to manual and wait about 2 days to receive payment from your customer first... then approve the order once you can pay for it. Yes it will take just a bit longer to get it shipped out. Once you are rolling you can then set order approval back to 24hr or whatever you need. Hope this helps. Sorry for chiming in Alek!

Most eBay buyers are looking for cheap deals. They usually won't spend $25 for a shirt or $20 for a mug.
