I love it when people go back thru and let us know how their DIYs have held up and what they would do differently. Thank You for this video. I look forward to seeing what you do in 2020
considering a LOT of DIY's rely on hot glue to hold it all together... I love that you are honest and tell us what specialty glues to use and when sewing is necessary!
I had NO IDEA that you were getting some pushback for how people thought your DIYs should’ve been done differently or thought the products wouldn’t hold up. Seriously, DONT listen to those comments! All of your videos I’ve followed have absolutely never failed me. Let them be negative Nancys since they don’t have anything better to do. The rest of us love your videos.
I tried your no sew sequins dress diy to my company party, it worked perfectly. People were shocked that I only used 4 pins to make a dress. Thank you so much.
My favourite thing about you is how excited you get. You're obviously enjoying yourself and it's so cool to see that you wear your own DIYs with pride xxx
🤣🤣🤣 3:53 "Well, you're wrong!" Thanks for all the ideas. I was wondering how all the glitter shoes you've done are holding up as I am already working on stuff for wifey for the upcoming year (and even NYE '21). I also was looking a Angelus shoe products and wondering if you'd thought about doing a Glitterlites video or 2. Seems very affordable and easy.
I love that you came back to tell how things lasted and that you are humble enough to admit that you take hints from your followers. You are awesome! Definitely a sub now.
The Loub's...lol are one of my favorites as is the mirror heel and the rhinestones of the heel of the shoe. I don't like that shoe but I love your jazzed up version. The mirror dress I am not going to attempt or Bey dress and I can sew. My favorite jean jacket was one from last year that you cut the panels out and replaced them with sheer fabric. I have the sheer fabric but not the jean jacket. I love your videos and thanks for doing this one.
I love this video! It’s great to go over some of the past DIYs so you could talk about their wearability and longevity and just as a reminder of some of the great ones!
I was literally surprised you had haters in you comment section that you DIYs wouldn't last😤 haters gonna hate especially on someone as talented as you. Love all your videos 💕
Orly I made the ombre glitter shoes on an old pair of flats. Came out FAB but so much glitter shed because, I guess flats are too flexible...? I tossed them. But WOW they looked so pretty! Blue to Black glitter 💙🖤
I recently found you and love your DIYs. Your energy is infectious. I’ve been making my own clothes since HS and I love it. My grandmother taught me what she knew and I’ve continued to teach myself as I go. What show are you referencing that you wear this beautiful wardrobe?
I don't make anything that I see on your channel. And yet, I watch each video and get super excited about each DIY. It all looks so fun and yet very very well made and thoughtful. Love it!
Fyi: bleach + vinegar yields chlorine gas & chloroamines. They shouldn’t be mixed. If you’re absolutely insistent on mixing the 2, do it outside w good ventilation. Hell, I’d prob wear a mask & set up a fan if it were me, but I’m a chemist, so I’m big on lab safety lol
Thanks for doing the feedback video on your diy’s longevity and what you have experienced. Those striped shoes still excite-me lol ! Always great to watch your creativity and enthusiasm and I am looking forward to seeing more of your creations. All the best in 2020
I have been sewing and DIYing accessories since high school. It’s a great way to express personal style and release creative juices! Oddly enough, I find myself most inspired during ovulation (I’m really serious.) It’s fantastic that someone so young can teach another generation thru the TH-cam format! You’re giving people opportunities to step out of their comfort zone, by using modern products, like washable adhesives, AND presenting the materials list. Lots of people who haven’t been in a fabric store have no idea how to purchase something like fringe. Great showing us what didn’t work, giving permission to viewers to try something else. I have used your video switching sleeves on a denim jacket and a fringed hem on jeans. Thank you 🙏🏻
I just discovered this channel and love the days! Sewing has always been a passion for me...so happy to hear her informative and easy to follow instructions !
They held up really well. The crystals started to peel off the edges, think I used the wrong kind of glue. But the butterflies held upright and strong and looked amazing! I don't wear them much because they're kind of a major statement, but the technique is solid!
@@OrlysChannel Thanks for responding! Those shoes were a major statement, so I was a bit surprised when you didn't mention them in the video. I may give that DIY a try - along with a few others!
I did the shattered glass heal boots and they are adorable ! But what I love the most in your videos is the fact that you usually pick the stuff from thrift stores and upcycle them. I started to buy my clothes from thrift stores and I feel better because a) they cost me a lot less b) it's good to make use of something which would go to waste otherwise
I'm late to this episode but I LOVED it!!! The thing that was the BEST for me was that I had seen ALL the videos you reviewed w the pieces you liked best! You are so brilliant Orly! So relatable and genuine!
OMG, I just clicked on your thumbnail because I was almost bored, NOT expecting that this is actually a LEGIT fashion DIY! You had at sewn-on embroidered blazer-gown. As a partially self-taught from childhood sewing enthusiast myself, I cannot over-emphasize how actually sewing on things is the "higher level" real skill craft among DIY crafts. Haha. Subscribed after only 1 vid, and loving it!
I'm new to your channel, but really like what I've watched so far! You are fun to listen to, not overly long winded and provide helpful insight! I am self taught as well, and love getting ideas and seeing what other creative people are doing! I can see several things I will try. Just made your wrap pants and going in for another pair with a different fabric. Thanks for the great inspiration and instruction!
❤I'm new here and LOVE this segment of reviewing you awesome creations!! I'm also self taught, for the most part. My mom had me sitting by her side when I was young and would help her with her sewing. Little did I knew I would be using it in my future from sewing a last minute Eyore outfit for one of my boys, a Batman cape for my nephew to pencil skirt for myself and so many more projects! You are wonderful and an inspiration I needed. I'm being very selective with my sources of information and I am so happy I came across your channel🧷🔋✂️💜
Love your creativity and you! Still haven’t actually done any of the projects....but plan too! I think I’ll start with the silver pin necklace! Always look forward to your videos! 😘❤️
You are my DIY idol .. thank you for helping me with my depression whenever I felt that way I grab my phone turn to your page and then I go into DIY . I can’t wait to show your pictures of EVERYTHING I DO ... thank you 🙏🏾
I need to rewatch the kimono one, I really want to make some fir 2020, mostly for around the flat but also for summer and my holiday in september as beach cover ups so longer .... maybe with fringe or tassels.... and no sequins
I was watching home and family today and I’m so glad I did because you had mentioned your TH-cam channel and I’m so excited that I found you😊! You are amazing and beautiful and such wonderful mom and this channel is the best thing ever
I loved this video! I just loved your channel! I've been wanting to try some diy's so this was a great video to watch to see what diy's I want to try to do! Thanks!
Really liked this video as we were able to find out how the final product did when put to the test. I really want to do the dying shirt diy as I would get the most use out of that idea. After reading most of the comments people wrote, I can't believe how so many people don't know how to spell correctly!! Thank you for all you share with us!
Your DIY’s are incredible and very inspiring. Thanks for teaching us and sharing your how to’s and tips. And especially what worked and what did not work as well.
I'm so excited that I found your channel, Orly!! I was trying to figure out how to make clothes for myself but I didn't want to make anything too complicated. I have long legs and arms (I'm tall) and it's so difficult to find clothes that fit me. I've watched you make some wrap pants and a no-sew skirt. You are soooo much fun. You have totally inspired me. Another great thing, it seems like you don't need a "craft room" for making your projects. I don't have an extra room so I need easy projects that I can complete in a day or less and then clean up my kitchen area (my version of a craft room). As I was sitting there this morning laughing and getting my hair done with Lauren (Ross) we got on the subject of DIY and crafting and she recommended your site...I have now spent the last hour watching you and know what I will be doing tomorrow while the kids are at school....DIYing the crap out of all my belongings!
Thank you! I am new here! I love DIY and am always open for and liking to try new things. I am looking forward to watching other videos with you as well. Love from Norway.

One DIY that you didn't mention is the jean jacket mod! It's where you took out a few panels of the jacket and replaced them with embroidered tulle. It's the first DIY of yours I encountered and I went ahead and did it with a thrifted jean jacket and it turned out GREAT! I get amazing compliments on it whenever I wear it. I get a lot of positive comments on them too, especially the rainbow ones!
Hey! Just found you today and started following you! I really love that you did a review and explained why things worked out the way they did and verified how well they held up. I really enjoyed that you talk so fast and get right to the points and get to the good stuff… Fantastic. Thanks so much for doing these and I look forward to seeing your next one!
Amazing stuff! It is now Christmas day 2022. I was looking for a sewing hack. I gave my son a wool sweater and now we discovered that there is a flaw. And then I found you! I am going to follow you from now on. I like the way you present your stuff. I am in the Netherlands, by the way. Also just started doing something with fashion. Thanks for your videos! And ... Merry Christmas.
Making that denim jacket with sequin sleeves is goals but I know I’ll probably never so I’m thinking of taking the sequin idea and cut out letters to spell my name on the back of my jacket. Close enough. Lol
You are amazing! Trying your no-sew wrap skirt on this weekend. Might add a sparkly brooch to finish it off! Also - Love the white shirt at 21:42. Where did you get it?

Butterfly shoes are amazing !!! And the Jimmy Choo Bow sandals

Marijana Papić Yep! 👌🏽
Exactly!
The gold glitter boots are very warm toned, wear them with jeans that have destroyed hems and a warm.tone shirt, like a warm brown, orange, etc.
The mirror dress will always be my favorite
