- One of my personal favorite originals, and a perfect fit for this quartet - Reina provided harmony vocals on the studio take, and Toni jumped in on slide for a live version on our 2022 US tour. Also, yes, I have cleaned up my mustache since this was recorded.

Hey Carson. Absolutely blown away by your show in Belgium last night. There's much to say about seeing and hearing you, Joshua, Reina and Toni weekly on a screen, but it's just on another level live. No audio effects, no big setup, nothing to hide behind. Just brutally honest vocals and guitar tones. Loved every second of it. Reina didn't lie: Unamericana contains some face melting songs. Wish I could have stayed and get to meet you all. Oh well, maybe something to look forward to next time the tour brings you to the neighborhood. All the best to all of you.

Charlotte resident here! This is my favorite song/performance from you folks. Two things that really stand out musically are Carson's upstroke on the high E string right after he first comes in, its like a ringing bell!! Secondly, when Toni first comes in it really threw me because it sounds like vocal "oooing" but no one was doing that, so magical! I know the phrase is worn out now, but the slide part is the chef's kiss in this performance!
The build up to the chorus (1:30) is absolutely glorious! The four of you are magic!

Agreed. This is a personal favorite amongst your originals. Lyrics are moving and thoughtful. "Crickets on the porch" couplet is incredibly beautiful. The arrangement on the album is wonderful and this version is no less affecting. Fantastic work as always!
