@@michaeldavis6607 not sure whose initials those are and not sure I understand why you think it matters. I’m talking about Jason becker and the footage I’ve watched on the internet… not about whether other guitar players can play what he’s playing on the video.
That's absolutely amazing that he could play a piece like that at 16, but with a prodigy like him I am not surprised at all. You can hear that Air was influenced by this.
At 16, already a master! He was born with a guitar in his hands! I've seen where he's doing a yo-yo in one hand and playing guitar with the other! ✌😎🎸🎶
Saw another copy of this many years ago and it actually lists him at 15 years old! This is the result of sleeping with a guitar in his arms during bedtime as a young kid. He was never satisfied even when reaching goals he set for himself. The music world is a much better place because of his contributions and always positive attitude despite his disability
16?!?! Damn, I was struggling to play "Crazy Train" at that age. Jason was definitely born to bless us with his unbelievable ability to play guitar...and he just looked cool
Wow...thanks so much for sharing this. Thousands of guitarist like myself have been inspired and influenced by Jason since they first heard him play many years ago. He is a Legend and master composer, his legacy will continue to inspire others to create for as long as their are guitarist.
Jason I was like you were... But not even 40% of your talent, skill, Godly given all... 15 years i follow you and u inspire me, I listen your songs and End of Begging and I'm with u in that Astral Place where I see that you nailing every note. U were and still are BEST EVER GUITARIST!!!! EDDIE VAN HELLEN - he should feel 1 day in your skin. He's nothing compared to albums u did. How can I hellp my buddy?
Minute 1:36 when he starts headbanging while playing the classical piece made me both happy and sad. Happy that we were blessed with Jason Beckers guitar playing and sad he has ALS. Why couldn't it have been James Hetfield or someone not truly talented.
Jason Becker is probably the best guitarist that has ever walked on planet earth but James hetfield is far more popular and important in the metal scene thanks to his songwriting skills and killer riffs so keep ALS away from him thanks
I'm going out on a limb saying that I think one of his influences was Ritchie Blackmore. Just a hunch? But no shame. What great guitarist wasn't? The young-boy mustache gives it away.
It is nice and all but to be honest if you want to listen to a good guitar version of Bourrée I'd go for some classical guitar player like Segovia or Söllscher. Not saying it to be rude or something just sharing a thought. I've liked Becker since back in the days when I bought 'Speed Metal Symphony' on LP the day it came out (and yes, I also have LPs with Segovia and Söllscher. Segovias 'My favorite works' was my way into guitar playing).
Goddamn sucks so much that he got hit with that horrible disease at pretty much before he hit his peak. Hea accomplished much even after. I can only imagine if he had never had it.
And here I thought I’ve seen every footage of Jason Becker available on the internet. So amazing to watch!
The entire performance of this vid is roughly 17 minutes
What he is playing isn’t anything RB couldn’t play. You must not be a guitarist.

Is there anyway i can watch all of it without buying the DVD?
@@borizh He replied to the wrong guy. the comment above yours says "Jason looks like a young Blackmore with 100xs more chops " (Richie Blackmore)

Can't you see he's the man
Let me hear your applaud
He is more than a man
He's a shiny golden god.
lmao! I had the same thought
Where is this from?
@@xxxsaraHelloxxx the movie is tenacious d pick of destiny, song name I forgot classical jam or something idk
@@rsingh1252 thank you my daughter loves jack black. I thought it sounded familiar 👏🏼 Jason fits this description 🔥
Jason looks like a young Blackmore with 100xs more chops
I thought exactly the same about his appearance
Except Jason seems to like being filmed.
Saw the thumbnail and thought it was Blackmore.
I think the inspiration is quite clear!
Blackmore the Mexican knight
Malmsteen does the same Bouree live in his older videos......but doesn't do it overhand like Jason does. That's incredible.

A live footage of Jason Becker is really rare. Glad you post it
He has such a good attitude and disposition for someone so massively gifted.

I know, right? 😄
When I was that age, I thought I was cool because I had learned the intro solo on 'Fade to Black'. 🤭
Fantastic Jason Becker genius ever...
God bless you bro...🙏🤘
This guy got a whole well of art in those hands

A young God.
What a gift , unreal really
Curious how many of his classmates recognize he'd become one of greatest musicians in only a few years.

Amazing. Love Jason! ❤
its crazy he was as good already at 16 as someone who had played all there life.
What a maestro.
Very Awesome upload.
Jason Becker is another example of why human genetics research is so important. So many have fallen.
Excellent! Thanks for posting, this made my day!
so amazing
What a genius. ❤️
He really captured the sound from his demo album "Boy Meet Guitar" 👌
Beutifull peace 👏👏👏😃❤️🇦🇷
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
I can't believe I had not seen this before now.
Thank you 👑❤❤❤
Legends 2023
The one and only!
Candice Night "Are you Jason Becker?" "NO" "I'm Ritchie Blackmore" "OH" "Do you play Renaissance like Jason" "No" but If I could learn"
Yeah, the mustache and the roundish face reminded me of the Blackmore's Night version of Ritchie as well!
Talents jason
Love it, thank u man 😍
Proud to be the 1k th like on a beckers shred video
16 daym . Born natural
Phenominal
why does nobody ever play violent skies? it is an amazing piece
I wish there was glasses that you could wear to make the world look like this footage quality and you can pretend your in the 90's again
Imagine if he had a good tone how amazing it would sound
Coolest looking 16 year old ever lol
Sus compañeros se dan cuenta que estan ante una leyenda?
Wow
Has anyone else finished playing everything? The harmonics and everything else or am I the only one?
I’m just curious but does anyone know how tall Jason Becker is ?

jajajja yes
Creí que era Ritchie blackmore, se parece mucho en lo físico... Pero no, es otro Dios de la guitarra .Amén por Jason
Did I just saw Ritchie Blackmore ?
He looks like Rene Descartes here.
lmao

Looks like Blackmore!
Plays Bach perfectly upside down 😮
God damn he has a full on moustache as well at 16.
Violent skies tab?
Year 1983?
he wouldve went on to be the greatest to ever do it
Bourre 1:24
He’s sporting his Blackmore mustache
That could be a young Ritchie Blackmore
Getting some serious Richie Blackmore vibes here.

Pffff...i can do that. Hold the camera, that is.
He could buy beer back then with the mustache. I could grow a mustache until I was 32
It's almost impossible to play counterpoint on the guitar, and he does it with his hand reversed as if he were riding a bicycle
This sounds like serrana, at least the beginning
Too much distortion.
And?
