info for people who are using version 1.16.4 1. holosphere can be turned into a sensor using two eyes of ender and use bolts (found in ruins) to further increase the range (on workbench) 2. in the video Mice (using the claw tool) pryed off the covers and flicked switches, that is no longer an option. a forge hammer can be used any time (with cells) but forge hammer modules are required in order to increase the tier, stop from jaming, increase the stats of new tool modules ect. (these are found in crates or from wondering traders) 3. to get a netherite (and obsidian) hammer(s) you need two combustion modules making the tier level 7. 3. in order to break forged blocks you MUST have a netherite hammer with silk touch. any other hammer wont work. 4. you need two netherite ingot per hammer side
This part took me so long to figure out back when i tried it, and there weren't any good videos about how to do it either at that time. Really glad you are covering this mod!

FOR 1.16: They changed the levels of things around. You can upgrade to blackstone without needing a forge hammer, but in order to upgrade to obsidian, the forge hammer needs at least one combustion chamber, which you need to find. (The combustion chamber increases the forge hammer's level by 1.)

Know this is old but in the storage container found in this room, the one you pry the bolts off to get into has three levels. On the left side there are two other level tabs and one of them had the combustion chamber or whatever it's called. Only after putting that in did mine work.

I want a good way to find a workshop underground. Like a compass or something. The newest version of MC adds so many more cold biomes that I feel like you could spend HOURS looking and find nothing.
EDIT: no wait I was wrong what I found was a much much rarer structure. I found like 4 foundries and it was only one of them. Hey everyone the mod has changed quite a bit since this video, READ THIS. I just found my first foundry and fair bit of warning, it is very different and rather than a small chamber it's a large structures with many rooms, mobs, and loot. Small spoiler below: If you come expecting easy loot, you WILL die. The enemies are actually very tough. But the loot is very worth it, it's really good (I'm talking diamond blocks and netherite). And make sure to bring ample fire protection.
Honestly, JEI is pretty good with mekanism. Look up an ingot and see what all it can come from in the smelter. It can come from metal dust, too. SO look up the metal dust and see wehre that comes from. There's a whole metalic progression tree for Mekanism, and also a pretty good wiki page (though some things around the nuclear reactor are still VERY poorly documented).
I found a forge hammer and I can't adjust the sides under the removable panels. Also I'm not seeing it boost my hammer level. I've tried two so far both with the same result. So I jumped to creative and placed everything and it's still not working.
You could probably get the lava chargers working above ground if you can find seeping bedrock and you have enough of those tube things under it to connect the actual charger and the bedrock
im in 1.18 using this mod but the forge blocks arent in my JEI inventory so i cant get a tier 4 hammer, do i need an adittional mod for 1.18 for it or does it just not show up in JEI??

Does the forged hammer world gen share the same flaw as all the other forged bits in the structure?(ie if u harvest the block its self without a silk-touch tool it turns to scrap). same question for the core extractor and its partner.
@@MischiefofMice flaw could refer to the player character being too clumsy for proper harvesting by themselves without the aid of magic. anyways a "very rare structure" that is easy to destroy sounds horrid on multiplayer,because 1 person who doesn't know better can screw up a bunch of time for the others.(even worse when one person does know better but destroys it intentionally.) to some extent ae presses show off this problem quite a bit. 1 solution to this would be the parts required for progression cant be harvested at all.(configurable but this is the default.)

I have a little problem with picking up blocs with my silk touch hammer. They just don't drop, I suppose it's because I use the 1.16 version of tetra so it doesn't work the same way. Does anybody have an idea how I can resolve this problem? Or if I need a particular tool and not an hammer?

Ok so, you put full thermal cells into the thermal cell slots, and then a combustion chamber in one of the other slots, as you need a tier 6 hammer to make an obsidian hammer, and the forge one starts at tier 5. Then you put a workbench under it Basically: Fuel the forge hammer Put a combustion chamber upgrade into an upgrade slot Put a workbench under it Then you should be able to craft one
am on 1.16 with this, you need 2 power cells but you don't need ot do the lsider thing on the forge hammer anymore, jsut put the insulators on. seems it changed.
I still do not understand this mod the pack im using only has this mod for better tools. Theres no tinkers or silent gear so im just confused as ever why is this so complicated with no actual manual to look at i cant get my sword past level 1 no matter how many different materials i use.

I had the same bug, I figured that was because the forge hammer was jammed and I couldn't see it. I just reloaded the world and I could fix the forge hammer and then forge the netherite hammer

Mine is doing this too. But it comes back to view. I'm just not sure how I'm getting it to come back. But it did work to un-jam the hammer head when I made my hammer a level 6.

I can't break the Forged blocks with my hammer. They dont even start to crack. I don't get what I'm doing wrong, I have a 2 headed iron hammer and it does nothing to the blocks. I can break the crates just fine. I'm using 1.12.2.
I really dislike video's like these. what i need is a written wiki, not listen to someone ramble on for 10 minutes for something that can be written in a few clear lines of text. would take less time making the video and less time searching up the info

I can get behind the general "figure it out" attitude from the author, if accompanied by achievable progression increments, but I've run into enough things that didn't make sense or weren't quite intuitive enough that the lack of reference material has made it a frustrating experience rather than a challenging one. I'd still like to see some more written information than we get from the sphere thingy, but that's not your problem. Your videos have been a great help, and have delivered just what I would expect from the medium.

@@rustroomofdoom when youre close to a forged ruin the cencer bar at the top glows orange in the direction of ruin. theres also a sound effect as well

There is an upgrade module for forge hammer that adds +1 to hammer level.

You can upgrade your holosphere with scanners in the latest version to do just that.
The scanner makes a kind of music when you are facing or near a ruin, you'll know it when you hear it

welp i had luck 1000 then because on direwolf20 1.16 i found a stronghold and by the stronghold was the hammer setup

Tried playing Tetra in the Enigmatic5 modpack. You have to have a tool for a tool for a tool for a tool. OVERLY CONVOLUTED CRAP.
