    Rad Mark, thanks for sharing dude! Been there, and I'm cheering for you brother! There really is light on the other side. I'm always uplifted and edified by the courage of those who repent and humble themselves. "By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins-behold, he will confess them and forsake them." Godspeed brother. Onwards and upwards!!😎🤙🤙🤙

    Finally! Thank you for coming out in the open with this story! There are so many people struggling with pornography and integrity/identity issues and even stealing. No one is comfortable taking about it because of the shame. We have been willing to talk more about mental health, and even drug addiction, but these things are harder for people to talk about.
    We need more stories like this to share that healing happens for every these things and we can talk about it.
    Wow wow wow... What strength for sharing.

    What a beautiful story. I like what you said about when he really started to think, "Am I going to keep living out thie lie?" And then he realized that he was trying to find happiness but couldn't actually get it, and then realizing that the church is the only way to enduring joy and happiness forever, because that's what it is. It's hard to explain why my, for instance, life has gotten better so much, so much more deep and profound joy, meaning, peace, hope, etc. It must be God, there is no other way, and I know because I have suffered for it, and I have felt pain, been alienated, had to fight the raging battles in my mind, but it works, God has one, or so it seems right now. I am grateful and all glory to God, because only He can save me from the pit I dig for myself. On my own I can do nothing, but once I am willing and strong enough to submit to the one who is greater than I and say, "Lord thy will be done, and not mine," my life gets better and so much happier. I am so grateful for this church and more than anything this God, who is an endless source of truth, light, hope, peace, and happiness. Keep up the good work!

    Great cautionary tale about keeping things hidden. Sounds like when he finally decided to open up and tell the truth is the point when things really began to change and improve. It's hard to open up and tell someone (spouse, bishop, teacher, family member) about something that you're struggling with but it's not as hard as it ends up actually being. We don't have to carry it all..there are people that will help and Christ will take it all. Very inspiring story and so happy to hear his life has turned around, his relationships are healthier, his career is back on track and his faith has been restored and grown. Love this!

    Satan is so wicked! His pursuit to destroy our joy (our relationship with the Savior being that source) is unrelenting. OBEDIENCE, REPENTANCE, the FEAR OF God, is our protection from Satan’s deceptive temptations. It starts with one unrepentant sin and before you know it, a full Pandora’s box of wickedness is pushed into our life. Thank Jesus for his atoning blood which is power to wash, anoint and restore our sinful souls.

    What if you actually chose this path before this lifetime? It doesn’t excuse behaviors but I’ve learned what you grow through is how you’ll connect to others.

    • @markharward
      @markharward ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that our experiences and trials can help us connect with others, but I don't think that I chose the path I ended up going down before I was born. It did turn out for good in the end, but I made those choices while on earth only. Otherwise it means that I didn't have agency and I was somehow led against my will to make the choices I did.
