Thank you for this video Andy. We are just starting to explore the Prevost world and found this video very helpful. Gil is a very knowledgeable and his willingness to share for us newbies is much appreciated! Thank you both.
Thanks Chuntley! I hope to have more videos coming in the near future. There's a lot to learn and this Prevost newbie hopes to share the info as I figure things out!
I just want to say your videos are AMAZING and chocked full of useful information. Unfortunately I don't have the pleasure of owning an RV or Motorcoach, however as a Class "A" Commercial Coach & Entertainer Coach Operator familiar with both the Prevost "H" & "X" models, the MCI "D" & "J" models, and of course the more popular VanHool "TX"', "CX", and "TD" models I was still able to walk away with some very useful/ interesting tips and information. I only wish that other coach companies would have you product test and video review their coaches. Eventhough Prevost is hands down the "Gold Standard" of coaches whether you're talking to professional passenger drivers or recreational owners there are other companies doing great things with motorcoaches making it a wonderful experience for the driver and most importantly the passengers. Keep up the good work and hats off to you sir.
Congratulations Andy its a beautiful coach to add to your fleet. Your videos are so informative keep them coming please can't wait to see the interior of your Prevost.
You can actually find them cheaper than that. You just have to know where to look and these videos give a wealth of information not just for million dollar people but for anybody buying an RV the tips are universal.
If you leave your pump unattended at most stations around here and they notice, they will shut down the pump. If you have a jug of def, you don't have to pour it in at the pump, you can do it anytime. It's not like it's a highly flammable product. .
Sad, had high hopes for this series...interesting topic. But Sheesh, every Marathon Coach is custom built. So your walk around is only specific to your coach. So glad you are happy with yours, but hardly relevant to the other 99% of us RV'ers.
I respectfully disagree. The more coach and rv videos I watch, the more specific and technical they get, the more I learn. I think this is a great video! Learned alot! 👍👍
I was wondering about the California emissions laws and Prevost Busses. I am looking for a 1988-1995, and will i run into trouble registering it in CA? I read somewhere Motorhomes are exempt as long as it says Motorhome on the Registration. Any thoughts on this? I am Not really interested whether you personally like California or not. Thanks for any input from Older Prevost owners in California.
I'll recommend posting this question on the Prevost Owners Group page on Facebook as you'll answers from those who know more about this than I do. facebook.com/groups/169938709726086/
the apartment has used a red line catch 22 about the danbury smokestack during polar war times and jim burnham is 100% responsible for discussing inappropriate catch-22s in front of the board, and i can do 7:30pm.
From my understanding, these are not assembly line RVs like Tiffin, Entegra, etc. Marathon would buy a Prevost shell and custom build a RV. The shells run about $500K.
If safety is a priority, and it should be, stick with a Prevost chassis…really. Also, the only place to get factory service for a Newell is in Oklahoma. Prevost has factory service centers across the USA and Canada.
@@TheGadgetGuru Thank you for your response. Issue with Prevost I have is doesnt have the wheel in front, long wheelbase, cant have it 40’ instead of 45. Cant have more doors cut out.
@@TheGadgetGuru Thank you again. I am still not so sure, but now I know that between Newell and Prevost it should rather be Prevost for safety and mechanics availability. I am looking for more advice though (not in a public forum).
My bus does not have a central vacuum system. I keep a Dyson rechargeable vacuum on the bus and it seems to take up a lot less room than a typical central vac hose and frees up the bay space for the central unit.
Holy Jesus mang. Filling your diesel pusher and adding DEF does not require a 10 minute conversation -- it's simply not that hard. Also, are you telling me this thing does not have rear wheel steering?
Old comment/post, but when we get our Prevost, I do not want more things to break. This coach, for example, is not my style, even though it is outside my pay scale (at least, if I still want to have a beautiful home that appreciates). Nonetheless, I want to keep it simple. Our coach will be pre-DEF, riveted, non-slide, DD 60 series. However, I will update camaras, and basic tech (solar, TVs, sound, etc.). Oh, and why are we harping on Marathon!? You own one. I get it, but I will just say that I subscribed a few shows ago, and then unsubed when it became too Marathon and then the DEF stuff. I'm a nerd, but this is...whew.
I did consider Liberty as they have an office located within a half hour of my home. I found that Marathon was a better fit for my needs. I did tour a few Millenium Coaches at the Prevost Stuff show in Tampa in January. All three produce beautiful coaches. More information behind my decision can be found here: www.gadgetguru.com/rumors-true-andy-purchases-another-bus-big-one/
Just askin'. But would an algorithm be helpful here? With a tablet in hand, just click what you want done and be done with it as opposed to manually fooling around with it.
Ok, as an entertainer driver... i pray that no manufacturer building an entertainer ever sees this video and takes what youre saying about the adaptive cruise control. Of i ever get in an entertainer and it has that junk ill quit. Sleeping people can not have that junk in their bus, rediculous. It slams on the brakes when some idiot cuts you off, 4 wheel drivers are soo unpredictable and do soo much stupid stuff and can cause a driver to lose their job over throwing someone from their bunk. And the 4 wheel.driver wont even know they cost me a job. Im sure its a great feature for the amature "rv" drivers, but youre talking about a prevost that could be driven by a professional. Ugh... smh
Apparently, you've been blowing your clone even before you started filming and that's why he appears to be just a more inflated version of you. But, now WE WANT THE TOUR you promised EIGHT MINUTES/22 seconds (and counting) ago! Never mind. It's not worth the stress. SOME of us don't OWN a way to 'get away from it all.'
Up to 8:30, this video is just talking about how wonderful Gil Johnson is. Skip to this point to start learning about the coach.

as a retired bus driver the prevost was the best and most reliable bus i had driven in my time. the people who make the prevost no there business.
This is great information for all the people that can budget a million dollars for a motorhome.

What is the difference besides price between a Prevost vs a Class A Diesel Pusher RV?
Here's Part One of a series that should assist: th-cam.com/video/YdjhpoAOl_Y/w-d-xo.html
Don’t know if you check old posts. Did Gil find anything on the coach that Marathon didn’t?

Very informative video. The only thing I don't understand is. what is a converter coach? What does that mean?

@@goutvols103 Thank you for that information. I learn something new every day, and that's a good thing! :-)

*Me struggling* between Ordering a Newell or Prevost by Liberty coach. And *I might decide on a Newmar because of their Super C “SAFETY”.*

I *LOVE* that Flxible Starliner, it's so cool. But the Prevost? Modern amazing.
How do you get the bathroom door open if your locked out of the bathroom it's an emergency lot somewhere else on The bus
There are air release buttons located near each of the air doors.
At commercial fuel stops, it's diesel fuel first, then DEF.
Does it have central vacuum? Or do most of the Marathon coaches have central vacuum? I was looking at their video, but it did not mention it.
My bus does not have a central vacuum system. I keep a Dyson rechargeable vacuum on the bus and it seems to take up a lot less room than a typical central vac hose and frees up the bay space for the central unit.

Hi Andy,
Since you live in Florida, did you consider Liberty or Millennium before you bought your Marathon X3-45 ?
I did consider Liberty as they have an office located within a half hour of my home. I found that Marathon was a better fit for my needs. How come there can’t be a steerable tag axle?
Thorough, very thorough Andy.
Thanks Derrick!
please do one on a/v system I call marathon and ask got nothing back

How much should one pay for one of these? Pricing is very confusing
It all depends on the year and condition of the coach.
It's a shame it doesn't have Prevost OTR A/C.
prevost for newbies part passenger side bays on a marathon coach castel
I never knew it was pronounced Pray-vow! Hahaha! One day I will buy my first!
Really? who the hell needs fueling and DEF tutorial? i thought this was about a motorcoach.

Gadget guru, why have the guy from marathon on if you're just going to talk literally 90% of the time?
call could be 10:30pm please.
why is the table so low, anyone that has a bad back will find this table useless, it's almost a tripping hazard
