@@TheFarmSimGuy so i found a pack that says PRECISION FARMING ANHYDROUS READY V1.1.0.4 do i need to enable this instead of regular precision farming? i couldnt get it to show as anhydrous.
It treats it the same as it would for dry or liquid fert, if it’s applied pre planting it’ll apply a base amount, if it’s done after planting (using the side dresser) it’ll apply the amount required for that crop 👍

banging my head on the wall trying to get anhydrous to work on UMRV. can't get it to cultivate, can't get it to side dress. turned off manual attach which doesn't seem to be compatible. i'm using precision farming, not sure if that hurts. none of the key binds do a thing. i can't set it to be manual, can't raise or lower the amount, simply can't get anhydrous in the ground.
Are you using the dry corn addon? From Fusion Simulations that makes it compatible (or the Anhydrous edit or Precision from Collins custom modding?) also don’t have both versions of precision running in your mods as the clash.

It can very easily come to console if it was made so that it spread liquid fertilizer as wide as the toolbar, and got rid of the anhydrous part.. just like the JD toolbar that was on consoles for fs19..
You must learn to think like a console player...🤪 It looks like anhydrous toolbar, it puts fertilizer in the ground.. what product it uses is really irrelevant for the gameplay mechanics

Your demonstrations of the anhydrous applicators are not entirely correct for how they are actually used in real farming applications. You would never run a tractor with super flotation tires on it while using a side dressing applicator. When you side dress anhydrous, it's placed more shallow in the ground, hence the term side dressing. It is placed near the sides of the root zone. The side dressing toolbar is meant to be used for when the corn crop is already emerged and standing. Optimally that would be at the V6 - V12 stage of growth . Therefore, you would be using a tractor with narrow row crop tires and not super floats. Also, side dressing (and top dressing) are generally done with a toolbar that is mounted directly to the tractor three-point hitch, and not being trailed behind the tractor. This makes it easier to negotiate curves without destroying the crop. The second demonstration is more accurate when you are applying anhydrous either in the late fall or early spring. Applications are generally done when the ground temp has fallen to 50 degrees or lower in the fall, and before ground temps have risen above 50 degrees in the spring. The soil need to be moist down to at least 5-6 inches, so it can seal behind the knives so volitization losses doesn't take place. Those are of course "optimal" recommendations and sometimes can't always be done exactly when they need to be. What you are calling the “cultivator version”, is not a cultivator at all! The “cultivator“ discs are actually knife closure discs. They heap dirt back over and seal the knife opening, to prevent excess anhydrous from escaping from the ground. You DO NOT want to see excess "smoke" coming up behind the applicator. With this type of anhydrous application, the gas is placed deeper in the ground below or near the base of the projected root zone. It binds to the soil molecules and will migrate upwards into the root zone when ground temperatures have increased and the plant is ready to begin using it. And yes, I ran anhydrous for 30 years, on our family farm. It also ruined my lungs and almost killed me several times from accidentally inhaling the gas, because of mechanical issues. BTDT.
Thanks for the info, to be fair the tractor I just picked because I liked the floaters. I remember my dad applying anhydrous on our farm in the early 80’s just before it was banned in the uk
Thanks for putting this out! I have the anhydrous addon but would not have known about these tools. Much appreciated! 👍 Great video by the way. 😎
No worries at all glad I could help 👍
Thanks for the update! I always enjoy watching your content.
I appreciate that thank you!
Ooh nice it will go nice with Edgewater when it come out.
The toolbars will cultivate without the fertilizer as well, so you don't need multiple tools for that.

Hello, do you need purified corn for anhydrous ammonia, or can you buy ready-made ammonia in tanks?
Has anyone had any issues on UMRV with using a forage harvester to mow or even pick up clover? If so, how did you, or did you fix it?
Not tried it with a forage harvester with a mower attachement, I'll check in on of the future episodes and report back
@@TheFarmSimGuy ok thanks
So by using the side dresser between harvests there's no negative impact on the pf score? Can it be used during the first crop growth stage?
With the dresser you should be able to use it first growth stage, I've not tested but will do
new to precision farming. im on umrv, do i need the precision farming anhydrous add on you mentioned? or just the implements and good to go?
If you want it to show as anhydrous in precision farming use the addon, otherwise (it will still work) it’ll just show as fertilizer 👍
