@Ed Edd Eddy Es cierto y en parte se debe a que los países hispanohablantes del trópico no tienen cultura rockera. Yo soy Colombiano y acá es casi imposible vivir del rock.
Me embola leer a personas que la envidia los carcome, y, que aunque les guste lo que escuchan, siempre critican. Aprendi que el que critica es el que no hace nada, generalmente porque no sabe y opina como erudicto, para mi simplemente son perdedores que no pueden hacer lo que los demas hacen, y su frustración los carcome. Es mas facil criticar que hacer, asi se justifica la frustración. Conoci un músico que decia que los Cadillacs eran malísimos, que su banda era mejor, hoy en día siguen sonando los Cadillacs y Vicentico, a la banda de el jamás la escuché. Solo digo, "copiando" un comentario, que, si Rata Blanca fuera yankee o ingles, los comentarios serían otros
Never heard of these guys, but after those guitar solos I am very interested. Looks like they have been around for a while. Hear a lot of Blackmore/Yngwie in his guitar playing, very neoclassical, which I love. Sounds like early Symphony X a bit as well.

For those who want to know what the lyrics are about, here's a little summary:
Mage is lonely, so very, very lonely, and wants to find someone to love. One day, he encounters a very beautiful fairy, they fall in love. They're very happy, until the day the dark forces, not liking the fact that they're happy, come to separate them. The fairy is killed, the mage heartbroken. However, he is determined to find a way to see his beloved again. The song ends with the mage knowing he'll have to be steadfast if he wants to succeed in the spell or whatever that could bring him his fairy back.
Anyway, I enjoyed the song and thought it was quite good. I think, though, that the guitar solo was a tiny bit too long to my liking, but the skill is indeed astounding! The singer, too, is quite good, and I also like the way he adds the traditional latino way of singing in a metal setting (I always love me some mixing of different genres and techniques).
The lyrics, though, are cute, but a bit cheesy, lol! I like the fantasy part, and the way it's written is pretty good, but yeah, the story in itself is a bit meh to my taste, and I'm a romantic, so it's weird to say that, hahaha!

the story does sound generically written nd cheesy from your description. i only like romantic stuff with believable personalities and chemistry otherwise it feels a bit silly. so mayb it's a blessing i didn't understand this hahah
I think the long first long solo has very distinctive parts, that corresponds to the first verses, when the Mago is solo, when he meets the fairy, when they are happy, when the fairy dies and when he tries to get it back, so in a way, the guitar makes you understand what the lyrics are trying to address

The words and development are very well articulated and dont need music to be a bedtime story by itself... Of course, a translation tells you the meanings of words but it certainly loses all poetry, rythms, you know...
I don't think the fairy got killed... Lyrics say "It (evil) attacked with its hatred so the fairy fell in that fatal dream of not feeling..." Perhaps she just didnt love the mage anymore... What follows sounds like heroic in a mage that tries to recover his girl... But I feel he just misses his way into confussion, false hopes and a bad faith...
Yay love this reaction! This is exactly how i feel about the solo in this song. It's probably one of the longest solos out there but it's so fucking amazing you just want it to keep going and keep melting my face lol.

En Argentina hay muchas bandas de rock y de metal buenas de verdad, me alegra saber que los extranjeros que no hablan español se interesen y muestren el trabajo de los excelentes músicos que tenemos en Argentina. IMO, the guitar player (Walter Giardino) is the best in Latin America, he's a beast! I highly suggest you give a shot to their debut album, it's gold. "Solo para amarte" might be a good song to react to

Great to hear! I am doing quite better. I have made quite a few breakthroughs the last few week with why things were so hard mentally, and it seems I did myself quite a lot of disservice in trying to be something I'm not, so I'm working on being true to myself, and it is helping a lot.
Yes, I find it fascinating that cultures that are so different (well, hispanic culture has been influenced by arabic culture quite a lot, but still) can have such similarities in their singing techniques, but what I find the most intriguing is that, for example, the arabic way of singing originates from religious chant, while Japanese shigin is the recitation of traditional (and Chinese) poetry. I don't know where the hispanic singing technique (I don't remember the name of it, voz dolorosa or something of that nature) comes from, though, but if someone has more knowledge, please do let me know!
