Hola a todos! Muchas gracias por el apoyo! I would like to revisit Rata Blanca with a live video. Can anyone recommend a live performance from them? Cheers! 😄🤘
th-cam.com/video/Mj8_CjqGpo0/w-d-xo.html from 2018, Adrián is like 60 years old already, he sings a half or so, tone "below" or "down" , the sound is not really good on this video, I will search for anothers... mpstly are full concerts videos.
and finally "corte porteño" by Walter Giardino from his solo albúm "Temple" ... yes, argentinians use to sing everything in every concert, even instrumentals... th-cam.com/video/c49fCxM1qmg/w-d-xo.html
I'm glad you enjoyed it. The solo has something I have never heard in other solos. Walter Giardino is a big fan of Blackmore and Malmsteem, so in his music he takes some elements from them and also add some argentine rythms and melodies. I like Rainbow a lot, and both, guitar and voice, remind me of Dio and Blackmore

But the evil that is always there felt jelous and put a spell in the fairy and since the the wizard is looking for a way to restore the fairy's life and love again. Thats pretty much the story ;)

this song is from the year 1990,Rata Blanca played with Glenn huges, doogie White, Joe lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Walter giardino (the guitarist) is a great songwriter and virtuoso
Am I the only one who enjoys Raimbow or even Deep Purple more than Malmsteem? I'm not quite sure why (perhaps Dio vocals helps Ritchie to make better songs), but Malmsteem seems a bit unnecesarily excessive to me,

Unfortunately, because of the language barrier, these bands don't get played in the radio as much as english speaking bands. I'm glad you chose this particular song cause it's just headbanging!!!

The song is about a magician who fell in love with a fairy when he first saw her in the forest. Later Evil appears and couldn't stand the love between both of them so Evil cast a spell on the fairy and put her to sleep (like in sleeping beauty) and took her away from the magician. In the end the magician cast a spell to find the fairy hoping he will reunite with her someday. That's my interpretation of the lyrics, I think you will them in english. Regards.

The lyrics are quite straightforward, it's just a doomed love story between a fairy and a wizard. The voice, the guitar and the sound of the band as a whole is what gets people sucked in. Walter Giardino, the lead guitarist, is a big classical music buff, so some of that bleeds into his playing. They're a huge deal here in Argentina and the rest of Latin America. It's sad, and quite unfair, that they never broke into the international scene because they're a world class band all the way. Just to give you a general understanding of how huge they are here, try to picture a packed stadium banging their heads uncontrollably just like you couldn't help doing. People go mental! Thanks for your reaction, mate! Cheers from Patagonia!
